Ed in your opinion are they any great prospects within our youth ranks that will be challenging to get in the squad this season? I was shocked with the little opportunities that were given to youth players last year, understand the domestic record was up for grabs so few risks taken but was hoping at least one would be challenging the first team squad.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - I don't see as much of the youth players as I used to so really my opinion is based on what other have told me and other posters will probably know more than me. Tony Ralston could probably step up and replace Gamboa as back up to Lustig and being out on loan at Morton won't have done Aiden Nesbitt any harm at all, him and Mark Hill are fantastic prospects. Calvin Miller seems to have lost his way a bit since the left-back debacle, I don't know what's happening with that but the lad's never a LB.}

I agree what I've seen of Ralston i've liked, Miller was unfortunate being played out of position, hopefully Ajer gets a sniff as well, cheers Ed.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Ajer's proven at Kilmarnock that he can handle the Scottish domestic game and I'd be more than happy to see him taking Toure's position in the squad sitting on the bench as cover for the first choice CB pairing and playing in League Cup games and games against your Accies etc after hopefully CL matches.
I can see Sviatchenko leaving this window and expect another CB to be brought in, I think a CB unit of Simunovic, Boyata, Ajer and AN Other (Duverne?) would be good enough and give us enough depth and quality to see us competing on all fronts next year.}

What's the feeling about Michael Johnstone?

Agree0 Disagree2

21 Jun 2017 14:33:52
MJ played well against St Johnstone, maybe he will get his chance, I do think potentially why we are quiet in the market is BR might have big plans for these young lads in pre-season, I would take youth development over imports any day, albeit they were good enough, and yes Ed hopefully Ajer gets the nod on the bench and pushes the obvious pairing, and let's hope if Eric is sold we earn 6 times the value we paid for him.

Evening Ed,

Just curious any idea roughly what we have raked in for Kerr, Archibald, O' Connell and Kellhellar (who I thought had a chance) and what five youths have we let go?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Aidan McIlduff, Shaun Bowers, Brandon Payne, Connor McManus and Luke Donnelly have all left the Club. As for O’Connell, Archibald, Kerr and Kelleher we'll have only got training compensation for them as they were all out of contract, we'll be lucky to have brought in Β£200k for them.}

Ed any news of interest on Dani Cebellos of Real Betis? Would be a massive investment from us.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - No chance.}

Short and sweet Ed πŸ˜‚.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - It's the stuff of fantasy, Kev. Can anyone see one of the top prospects in La Liga with a 15 million Euro release clause to Spanish teams which Real Madrid are happy to trigger signing for Celtic? It's like a St Johnstone fan asking if they're interested in Rogic.}

20 Jun 2017 19:15:49
Hahaha, great comparison! I reckon McCarthy is ambitious enough for that area. I'm quietly confident about this window, we haven't heard anything out of Moussa himself which suggests he's leaving and as long as we get the likes of Armstrong and Brown tied down, I'll trust the manager to bring in a replacement for PR and perhaps competition for Gordon. Still not convinced that Sviatchenko needs replacing, if he does why not try blood Ajer?

Just read an interview with Fabio Borini, says he has a lot of offers and will decide based on how the club treat his personality both on and off the pitch, he sounds like a big bag of Trouble to me. I hope we keep well away from him.

I think u are probably right . I also think we are not interested in him at all.

We are not in for him. He slagged the gaffer off in the press after leaving liverpool.

And he's always injured, work shy and pure pish. My other half is a Sunderland season ticket holder and they can't stand the guy.

Hi folks, just after some advice.
I live permanently in new Zealand so understandably don't get to any matches anymore but I'm back home in Ireland visiting the folk until the end of July. Its my first time back in 6 years
Basically I wouldn't mind getting a ticket for myself and my kiwi partner for the mini huns match. I would love her to experience it as I find it hard to explain to her how special an experience it is.
Could anyone shed some light on the ticket situation for it and how hard will it be to get tickets or the best way to go about getting some
Thanks ed.

Irish Kiwi-if ye cannot get her a ticket buy her a Celtic tap and bring her to Scotland and leave her on Airdrie Main Street then go for a pint for an hour. When you come back she'll have had the very same Linfield Windsor Park, Belfast experience without you needing to splash out on a ticket plus you'll have had a pint! Only difference is our Huns are thicker! ☘️.

Big betting day at Royal Ascot and you cannot ignore the in form favourites Ribchester and Churchill, not big odds but a double on both will at least double your money.
I also have two bigger priced each way horses
3.05 De Bruyne Horse 6/ 1
3.40 Goldream 12/ 1
Sly are going 4 places the first race and 5 places the second one do a wee each way double.
Happy Punting everybody.

Phew just avoided a telling off from Mrs T, as I did singles and double on Ribchester and Churchill. Lumped more on Ribchester as better odds 11/ 10 (Β£500 more than double back) but Mrs T still angry at me for betting so much. Even if Churchill now beaten I am still up.
Tried to explain that sometimes a gamble jumps out at you and Ribchester is CLASS.
But a disclaimer, luckily I had money in my bookies account, do not bet like me.

Ribchester has saved my bacon, Mrs T fuming with me. I am fuming with Ryan Moore the wee d! ddy. Seen Moore do this so many times, get blocked at the back.
Lesson to be learned, do not gamble unles you can afford to lose, I got lucky this time, next time I may not be as lucky.
Bookies are LAUGHING as bigger gamblers than me lost hundreds of thousands.
