Often wondered why sly sports and the national TV stations always use ex celtic players and managers for punditry and never ones from across the city. Yet up
here from radio snyde to bbc radio/TV Scotland and all the rags, we are overrun with ex deadco players/ managers. It would make you think the media up here we're biased. Oh wait.!

I just love it when you see a small team defeat the big boys.

Costa Rica were brilliant. A manager who I have never heard of, has shown great tactical knowledge and a team that worked from the first minute to the very last.

This could be exactly what RD will do for Celtic in the Champions League next year. can't wait to see what this guy brings.

I know Celtic really need a good target man for a striker, if we could clear out Stokes, Balde & a few others, would love to see Yacine Ibrahimi of Granada signed, quick, skillful and can score

He's not a target man. He's not even a striker, and he certainly doesn't score.

That said he is a very tricky player. What about Campbell from the team you mentioned, Costa Rica?

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have made it clear he was no target man.

Campell would be great but well out of our price range

Quote from Ronny that's got me a bit worried, "John Kennedy is a good boy, a young boy who has good use of the football as well " hope he knows that JK unfortunately had to hang up the boots a while ago and was talking about him joining the coaching staff, and doesn't think he's still playing, didn't sound like it though

FFS! Are you a Scottish second rate reporter? The guy is speaking in another language would it really be a surprise if he was slightly off in his grammar?

Agree0 Disagree0

Green jhedi I agree mate. i'm sure his grammar will get better with time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he knows Kennedy is a good young coach, isn't John in his 30's so he is hardly a good young footballer.
I hope we are not going to try to interpret the worse of what Ronnie says at least until the team starts playing competitively .

Wind yer neck in gj, the Scandinavians can speak better English than us

@4 Really? It is not his first language so you don't think a mistake could be possible you would rather jump on it to criticize? Says more about you mate.

Afternoon Ed, can you clarify something for me please surrounding the Strachan era. Was Strachan told not to play big bobo in the hope that he would leave and get another club or did he just not rate him?.

Thanks

{Ed007's Note - Between injuries and a loss of form Balde ended up so far down the pecking order under Strachan the player said the manager and Lawwell told him he was SIXTH choice CB at the club. There was also fall-outs with team mates behind the scenes and Strachan felt some of his actions were detrimental to team morale.
Balde priced himself out of a move to hometown club Marseilles and turned down moves to Sunderland, Birmingham and Middlesbrough even though CFC had given him permission to leave on a free during his last couple of seasons. Throughout his last 3 seasons here he played in a total of 14 matches and never made a single appearance during his final season.}

I heard that he would get a £500 fine every time he showed up to training lol.

I remember Gordon Strachan talking about Big Bobo with Jinky shortly before his death. Jinky as using a electric chair and operating it with his foot. They were both laughing trying to imagine Big Bobo trying to operate it with his first touch not a wall left in the house.
