Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

20 Jul 2013 23:15:33
ed do you no get the feeling we are going be left short of numbers and quality this season, sooner or later we need a marquee signing, do you no agree that with the bank balance being as good as ever this should be the time? {Ed007's Note - There is still over a month to go in the transfer window, I'll wait until then to judge it.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lenny said there wasn't going to be a marquee signing at the start of the window mate. I'm kinda hoping we still interested on Doyle. If he discovered hos best form up here with us then he would be a dangerous forward to any opposition. I think he would retire here if he proved himself. Are we still interested ed?

THE FINAL FAREWELL
Celtic can take comfort from the fact they lead Cliftonville 3-0 on aggregate going into the second leg of their Champions League qualifier on Tuesday. However, the game will not only be a chance for Celtic to rotate their squad, but it will also be the final time Gary Hooper plays for the Hoops. Many thought Hooper had kicked his last ball in a Celtic jersey, but the Englishman has knocked back QPR's offer and is now set for a move to the English Premier League.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gary Hooper deserves the Premier League. Anything less would be an insult to him and Celtic and the SPL.
He also deserves a magnificent send off. Three good years service, cost £2m and goes with our blessing for £5m.
Thanks for all the goals, cups and titles.
To put it into perspective; cadette, van Hoiydonk, di canio and viduka all gave one season except one who gave two.

According to a Celt at the game today there was chanting mocking the death of Lee Rigby, the soldier killed by a lunatic in London. If this is true it is a FKN DISGRACE. Quite apart from disgracing our club what kind of human beings are these people? What are they thinking? This young guy, who left a wife and young family behind, was killed in the most horrendous way.For someone to think a song about it was acceptable is awful. I would hope there was CCTV footage and the complete ******s are identified and barred for life from Celtic Park. I am totally disgusted by this. green jhedi {Ed007's Note - More nonsense from the twisted minds of The Rangers/Sevco hordes started by one of them on Twatter I'm afraid JG. I would have thought you would have seen through it. Funny nobody knows the tune or the words that were allegedly sung.
File this one beside the Dundee 'riot', the Islam CSC flag and the 'fact' that we used to leave the CP floodlights on to help the Luftwaffe during the war.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

ED007: Yeah, sorry mate. It was the fact that a Celtic fan tweeted it that got me.Went searching for more facts and it seems it was an EDL organised piece of garbage. The Brentford fans were raving about the whole game and even the police and stewards did'nt seem bothered by the pitch invasion.

It seems that attention loving graham is putting it about as well, that and Celtic fans torched their bus! Graham of the yard perhaps?. green jhedi

Very, very bad taste if it is indeed true, which unfortunately I wouldn't be that surprised if it was. {Ed007's Note - Until I see or hear any evidence I'm not wanting to get bogged down in it. Look on Twatter and you can easily find who started it. It says a lot more about The Rangers/Sevco fans that they need to make this stuff up, and lets us all on here know what you are like with that statement. Bit of wishful thinking on your part.
I have spoke to people who were there over the phone and in text messages, no such thing happened. Read what Brentford club officials have said. Send in any proof of it happening that isn't just some wee bigoted mug on Twatter and I might take you serious about it.
And let's be honest, what gives The Rangers/Sevco fans the right to take the moral high-ground over anyone?}

This is the kind of allegation you do not make or associate yourself with unless you have 100% proof and heard it with your own ears.

As you said GJ, a young guy lost his life in the most horrific manner and to use this to make yourself twitter popular actually makes me feel ill.

I don't know who this Graham guy is but he is a sorry excuse for a human being and certainly no football fan ~ Mrs E

Lets hope that this wee fandan gets a chap at his door from the the personter police. I am getting really scunnered how these fans of a new club are trying to poison the whole of the scottish game. Is it not enough that they have been let away with murder and the SFA have broken every rule to accomodate the cheating/lieing/city wrecking/tax avoiding/racist/bigoted/thieving etc etc persons.

Pistol Pete should be at Sepp's front door demanding answers as he certainly wouldn't get an answer at Ogilvies!!

Well let's see the police get in there and make an arrest maybe! let's face it, these sort of comments are designed to cause trouble and unrest of the highest order!
There has already been arrests with regards to tweeting on this topic so let's see another one! If there isn't any action, I think people need to be asking serious questions as to why not?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Once again Ed007 you have proven me right. I posted a message stating a differing opinion to yours, nothing wrong with it, yet you take it all away with "***" and make it look like I have said something against the rules. So if you could clear up what it was I said for future reference that would be appreciated. You are clever, I'll give you that and I appreciate the job you do as you know your stuff. You are excellent on the wrestling page, but on the Celtic page you are totally different. You are beyond arrogant imo. I take it you were not there today, so as you say (and as I said in my post, which you decided to take away) it is all hear say.

GRD {Ed007's Note - I edited your post because it was just full of malicious lies that you had read on Twatter, it's as simple as that. If it wasn't you I would have deleted the whole post and blocked you from the sites. Your opinion of me is neither here nor there, I prefer to take a responsible adult approach to things, you should try it sometime.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If it had been in any way true, it would be a big story. The fascist element try to use social media to spread their hatred all the time. However hard they try, it never works. The vast majority are too well brought up to be fooled. Unfortunately they only ever succeed to pass it on to their own children, thereby making them the real victims of their twisted minds. You must remember people pay to join these organisations and foolishly line the pockets of the organisers. They have to lie because the truth destroys them.

Agree0 Disagree0

There was a very good piece on news now guys. Detailing how a sevco fan started this. Should still be there so go have a look. Should clear this horrible mess up. Our fans were excellent down there Brentford fans were raving about us one said he was walking alone through crowds of us and the only contact received was several cuddles lol. Even there manager loved us. I don't want to talk about why this twisted sevconian started this because that is giving the degenerate exactly what it wants.

Folks, the following is my opinion. You don't have to agree with it.
I wish to hell that certain Celtic fans would stop using this site as an opportunity to have a go at the goings on over at Sevco 5088 Ltd. Why are you so consumed with their behaviour? It has nothing to do with us any more.
And please don't use the "it's wrong what they're doing" card. If you're so concerned about the morals involved then take them to court yourself.
I'm just a wee bit fed up with reading a load of bollox about THEM. This is a site about us, not them.
By all means, let's have a laugh at their antics and if something special comes along then let's all have a chat about it but please please please, spare us the boring ramblings about why rule 2.3, subsection 4.87 should be applied.
We are Celtic fans at the end of the day and if you're totally obsessed with their behaviour then please keep it to yourself. We don't want to know. Keep it in moderation and everyone is just fine with it but go over the top and we all just switch off. I prefer to be passionate about the team I support, not the team I don't.
Like I said, just my opinion, but I think you'll find that there are more trus fans who agree with me than disagree.

I'm just going to keep watching the goings on and highlighting the injustices that are happening to be honest. That post didn't sway me personally in any way at all. The one's with your attitude will be questioning years from now why we let them get away with it and didn't question the footballing authorities after someone writes a book about it or the wrong doings inevitably come to light and too late to punish them for it.

Why don't you just ignore the posts and comments about them if they bother you so much Chris?

Just incase you hadn't thought about it, do you ever consider where we Celtic and its supporters would be if the shoe had been on the other foot? We would have been refused entry into the league for a start and no one would be allowed to say we are the same club, I mean I could go on all night but just consider it. They need watched mate, without a shadow of a doubt.

In the mid July heat down Govan way, a new bromance flourishes strong. Alastair and Craig we are reliably informed, by? the man in the know who likes to blabber, enjoy sharing beers together, and sharing pies? They have intimate long chats into the balmy night, possibly discussing imaginary transfer targets, imaginary budgets, imaginary hair restorative products and compare notes on weight loss plans.
Alastair finally has a soul mate, someone to fill the lonely void of the last two years. Someone who understands, someone who cares.
The day of reckoning is a distant thought from an angry time. Nothing could be further from his mind in these perfect summer days of golden pre season. A happily ever after beckons.
But as the sun sets and the light fades, Craig M pulls off his rubber mask to reveal, shock horror, old flame Craig W. the nightmare goes on.

Green was even worse, Ally was taken in by his strong, big hands and promises of big contrcts. He had been a fool, but he knew this was the real thing. Craig moved forward and tried to slip his hands around Ally's waist, they laughed together as they both knew this was impossible. It was perfect.Craig gently wiped some pie crust from Ally's lips, leant forward and whispered what Ally wanted to hear. i know this is not a rumour but is every one as fed up as me with players and their silence why can't guys like gary hooper not just come out and tell the fans his position with the club whether he wants to be here or not

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because that makes no sense from his point of view.

If he comes out and says he wants to stay, then someone offers him double his wages and he takes it, he looks like a mercenary.

If he says he wants to leave but nobody appealing makes an offer for him then he has to stay having upset the fans who know his heart isn't in it.

Paper saying HMRC are taking the oldco to the next tribunal and the figure is £80m. So EBT figure wasn't £47m as previously reported.
BDO saying the RFC debt is currently £128m with this tax dodge at £80m makes it a possible £200m plus.
Absolutely incredible.
Sdm's group accounts back in march declared debt of £98m magically kept below £100m. Incredulously shocking figures, how such circumstances are allowed to develop beggars belief.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And how much debt was actually accrued before admin? Roughly £15m of debt when CW bought the club, ten add on ticketus but oh wait they've claimed whyte to be solely responsible for that, and if you actually did some research you would know the potential tax liability was always around 75 million. So you figures are misleading and written with an agenda, see if the DR will employ you

Why is there a thread of Ambrose hate in Celtic fans? Is it because of the Juventus match? Everyone harks back to the days of Bobo and Myallby, but they had their moments in defense but its easy to forget that. Ambrose is much more techincally gifted than either of those two, the guy is quality.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion but it seems unjustified to me.

Quack

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have backed Ambrose but you are right a lot of fans seem to love to hate him. Sopotcelt

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally do not rate him at all, think we r stronger when he isn't on park. I hope van dijk can be the CH we desperately need to kick on. As for ambrose I think he is absolutely murder, I can think of many more mistakes than against juve. killie at home for one, I worry when he gets on the ball, I never worried when big johan was on the ball, but opinions can be different.

Rbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He looked good when he first arrived and was comfortable on the ball and even scored a couple of good goals.
But he has become too comfortable and lazy on the ball and dally's in possession and every forward in the SPL knows he will try to beat them or turn his man and are wise to him.
His complacency is what fans don't like as he never learns from mistakes, thus causing goals or goal attempts.
His back-heading and overhead kicks at Solitude caused havoc.
The Juventus game was a shocker, but most fans blamed NL for playing a man just back form winning the ACN, who was physically/mentally drained.

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's what we need, world star international who brings creativeness to our defence. Bit sketchy at times but he'll only get better. Gandalf the green.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has only been here a season and is still developing and adapting, he had far more good games than bad and yes he can get caught in possession but I think he can become a good player for us, after all people wanted wilson shipped out but he improved, also the balde I watched wasnt immune to lax play and **** ups too .,,,,,, deep river bhoy

Only jestin buddy, like you say your entitled to your own opinion I just think he's a nightmare. No concentration in a defender spells danger. He's an accident waiting to happen. Done well against Cliftonville though, no f*nnying about and cleared his lines, first time he dallied on the ball in the second half he lost it and we nearly lost a goal so that tells you all you need to know.

Lenny needs to play the psyche game smart with all opposition, fergie was a master, mourinho does it.

Mo Bangura is out on loan for a reason, whether Elfsborg play him or not won't matter. Celtic are a far superior side end of.

However, Lenny needs to push the issue. We own the player.

Historically what has happened in similar circumstances?

Shouldn't there be a paragraph in his loan contract stating he doesn't play against Celtic? Just like spl loan deals?

It just doesn't feel right a player running out in the most important competition against his own club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bangura is hopelessly conflicted and cannot play against his own team in such critically important circumstances.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no UEFA rule and there clearly was no agreement between the clubs when the loan was agreed so it comes down to Elfsborg and Bangura at the end of the day.
If he sees a future at Celtic then he'll not play. But to be honest, it doesn't look like he has a future with us so he might play in the hope he has a future with Elfsborg.

Presuming all favourites get through the next round of the qualifiers, Celtic would be seeded for the champions league playoff draw and face either Austria Vienna, Victoria plzen, dinamo Zagreb, legia or partizan. As I said, presuming everything goes to plan

Is NL justified in making comments about Bangura? If true I think he is leaving himself open. The questions are not about Banguras willingness or otherwise. Its about do The Swedish team hold his registration. All be it temporarily and is he eligible and fit to play. If so what has it got to do with Celtic. He is not our player for the period of the loan. He is Elfsborgs. They paid for him for a period of the loan. Quite frankly NL comments are not very classy and it amazes me we give a hoot about Bangura given he could not score in the SPL after more than a dozen attempts. Fate says he will score well that's the risk you take when you loan players out and don't include a clause. But we should have more than enough to deal with the Swedes without potentially threatning behaviour. It may not be against Uefa rules to make such declarations but I assure everyone it is against european employment law. It may be NL has been misquoted but many many news outlets are reporting his comments almost word for word. Imagine we had a player from say Chelsea or Barcelona and drew them would we want and expect our player that we paid for if only temporary to play or not. Of course we would and we would scream bloody murder if they tried to intimidate the player and our club. A proper foxes paw here Neil. Sort it out please. Sopotcelt.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2013 11:33:24
Cant agree sop, he is our player and Lenny only stating the obvious, imagine he scores and puts us out then comes back after the loan, how would we the fans react? If anyone needs to show class its the Swedes(he is our player and to put him in a bad position would not be fair) Nothing to see here, its a no brainer and Lenny is right the boy should not play

Dannybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He shouldn't have done it through the media he should have just contacted Bangura and told him in private that he didn't want him to play in these maches and seen what his reaction was. If he continued his willingness to play then tell him his Celtic career is over and on his return he'll be training with the youths until he's moved out again or released at the end of his deal. Bangura shouldn't even be interested in playing in this match, his head should be telling him he can't play against the club who own him. Another example of the modern day football showing no loyalty. They say you should never bite the hand that feeds you and I think if Bangura plays he will be doing just that. I fully understand Elfsborg are paying his wages during this loan but it doesn't change the fact he is a Celtic player at the end of the day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with sopo lack of professionalism on our part, it is bog standard to have a clause inserted for just this reason.they should now let the boy. Ghreengo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure the same thing happened with David Fernandez when we loaned him back to Livingston. No clause in his contract but Davie Hay who was manager of Livi didn't play him because celtic were good enough to loan him to them. Elfsberg should do the same no matter if they are paying wages. Do celtic have an option to cancel the loan agreement? That might be another option if they don't play ball

Agree0 Disagree0

OP - Lenny is stating the obvious. He rarely evades a question. I think he is right to answer the question the way he has done. Good on him.
