very (very) impressed with Henderson.contribution in last 2 games superb

surprised by his confidence level.seems quite intelligent (in interviews) and crucially in terms of "playing" intelligently.

one of few midfielders who receives the ball and looks forward and actually hangs on to the ball driving forward as opposed to popping it back 10 yards (as many "modern day midfielders" seem all too happy to do)

ED, I know he was on the scene before and then dropped away but do you see potential in Liam Henderson or was it more a case of weak opposition allowing him to "look better" than he actually is?

I am all for signings but if Henderson was to emerge, then why not? Money saved and a "hungry" player with a lot to prove

Im getting "Henderson" printed on my my Celtic pyjamas :)

{Ed007's Note - I like Henderson, he's a bit rough around the edges but bearing in mind he's still only 18 I think he could have a future with us. It doesn't matter that's it weak opposition, you can only beat what's put in front of you and at his age he's banking experience and learning.}

True ED re "you can only play what's in front of you"…18 …I thought he was older

very impressive as an 18 year old …he has that surety and cockiness about him …but plays as though he is older

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I just double-checked, yeah he's only 18.}

I hope he is coached wisely and used intelligently as McGregor seems to have went backwards since being played and relied on too much earlier in the season.
Forrest is another example of 'burn out' after initial hype and early pressure.

Was Henderson not voted the best 17 year old prospect in world football or something like that by UEFA, last season or season before I think ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That was Calvin Miller back in 2013 (might have been 2012).}

My theory on macgregor (not his fault per se) was that he "scored" in his early games without playing terribly well and this prolonged his "spell" in the team

i did nit disagree when he was removed but I wouldn't write him off …long way to go for him (whether at CFC or elsewhere)

The loan to Notts County wouldn't have done him any harm in terms of being in a state of preparedness for CFC start

Hi Ed, is there any more news on Tonev leaving as they're was meant to be French clubs interested. Also are there any source to the rumours that Leeds want Stokes on loan with view to buying him after there transfer embargo is up? Or the departure of Kayal?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Leeds are under a transfer embargo.}

Hi all can I ask if we do bring in Armstrong who do you take out the side to accommodate him? I do think he is a decent player but is that not the position that johansen is playing just now? if so I would take johansen every day of the week

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Biton, Armstrong can play anywhere in midfield and would allow Johansen to stay forward, they could also switch positions during the game

Agree1 Disagree0

Think he can play anywhere man. cam, lw/rw or even cm so take your pick

Agree2 Disagree0

Commons leaving accommodates this

Agree0 Disagree0

Be great just to have him as an option. Squad rotation, injuries etc. A competitive squad means players have to perform to get a place and to keep it. He can play anywhere in midfield though.

So John mcglyin has joined Celtic? Why would we employ him after everything he has said about us? The guy is a total rectom tbh

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Agreed. His behaviour when managing hertz towards us, and in particular Lenny, was very poor.

Agree1 Disagree1

Think John McGlynn has been there for a wee while either scouting or coaching iv seen him at the training ground at the start of the season
