Strathclyde Police figures recorded by officers earlier in the campaign showed that the number of people attending the first three league games of the season for Rangers were lower than publicised.

This is because clubs publish the total sales of tickets, including season books, rather than the actual number of spectators who physically attend.

Police numbers showed 6, 944, 9, 071 and 11, 060 fewer fans attended Rangers' Third Division fixtures versus East Stirlingshire, Elgin City and Montrose than were credited in figures given by the club to journalists.

-------From STV article over a week ago. So inflating attendances by 7 to 11 thousand each match. So even the biggest match at 46,000 was really only 35,000?!? Given its mostly half price season tickets (money received and spent) freebies, concessions,. i'm really interested in analysing the accounts. {Ed001's Note - you do realise that every club HAS to publish the figures for tickets sold and not the actual attendance figures, don't you? It is because it is the figures they are taxed on that they are publishing. It is exactly the same with Celtic's figures, or Kilmarnock's or Liverpool's, Arsenal's etc. STV would know that as well, so it seems that the article is mere mischief making.}

Curiously there's news out that Rangers new rangers have settled with Rapid Vienna for the outstanding Jelavic fee.
No amount of money is quoted as changing hands and Rapid are quoted as continuing to chase old historic rangers in liquidation for THE FULL AMOUNT.

Any reasonable reader would have to summise Green's Rangers didn't pay anything.

This cuts across the SFA license agreement that Green's rangers would PAY IN FULL ALL FOOTBALLING DEBTS.

Rapid Vienna chasing oldco is a breach of agreement for SFA license surely? Green is liable not oldco anymore.

So it seems that Malcolm Murray has been asked to stand down in the best interests of the club. Concerns about his personal conduct and aspects of his behaviour, allied to indiscretions about club matters, had been raised at two previous board meetings after complaints from a supporter. Hmm. Makes you wonder if those rumours of him requesting a meeting with Mr Desmond were true. I wonder if this might get messy? You would think Murray would have to answer these cryptic statements to preserve his good standing in business circles. Or chuckie will have to dig deep for a pay off to ensure a confidentiality around this. green jhedi

Celtic got fined last year 21,000 for the Uefa banner AND setting off flares. Watching the Arsenal game last night against Bayern, where the German fans let off so many flares the pitch was in smoke for the first 5 mins. Do you think they will get fined for that? Naw, don't think so either.

Taken from the Sydney true blues website.

Green said "Craig Whyte has approached us and said he wants 6 tickets in the directors box plus a payment of £1 million. I said that we should offer it to him but let it be made public that he is back in Glasgow. I’m sure if we told people Craig Whyte was at Ibrox we would have the biggest attendance ever. Everyone is now looking to steal our success and people are looking for huge entitlements. "

So green is telling people whyte wants seats at ibrox? Why on earth would he want that?

I'm sitting here reading the article in this mornings herald about Malcolm Murray being asked to step down and can't help thinking that he's being asked to step aside because he's telling confidants around him
What most of us in the sane world can already see.
Okay most of us accept the share issue was a success for the larger investor and raised large amounts of cash for CG, but why the unrest among the board at this stage?
Does Murray suspect "Taxi for Green"?
