I live in newcastle, had a season tocket for 6 years.Im gutted we didn't get long. Looks a natural . I'm one of those who lives in England and I'm fed up of thosecallung the Scottish league. Im nearly , and it was nearly I said wanting rangers to win. The disregard for Celtic or rangers for that matter is poor. I wish they'd realise how big we are. It's ebarrssing what I have to put up with. We are Celtic and we are unique , let's be proud of ourselves, we play against crap and you still turn up in your numbers. Newcastle v arsenal 48000 Celtic v Dundee utd 50000 . They don't know what a big club is. Keep the faith Bren

Hello. I come in peace. Just thought I'd pop in and visit, because Bond(Ed007) is always on about how Celtic is his first love. So, Bond, who are the jokers on the site. Who's the Blair Mayne of this site? Any Rainfish's? Is ther a financial whizkid like Sydney?

As an Irishman, Celtic was always a team I liked. Although Manchester United is my first and only love(in terms of football). So, here's to Celtic winning SPL and United winning EPL.

G.A.G.U.S {Ed007's Note - Welcome on GAGUS, another very good friend of mine from the Man Utd site, there is WUMs on here GAGUS, but same as Utd mate, you get the respect you show returned. The name thing is still a bit of an issue on here though}

Welcome G.A.G.U.S to the Celtic site. Go onto Celtic News and read Wee Pat meets the Pitts, if you understand it you will be an official BHOY LOL timalloy

Timalloy

Yeah, Bond posted a link to it on the United site. Had to read each sentence 3 or 4 times to understand it. Here's something that you will like:

What's the difference between Glasgow Rangers and a bucket of sh*te?

the bucket.
:-)

G.A.G.U.S {Ed007's Note - Whoah GAGUS!!!! You can't say that, AF always tries to look after Rangers lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't quite feel the same way as Fergie towards Rangers. Whatever it is about them, I just always got an air of arrogance. On Sky text page 459, where they show e-mails from fans, one Rangers fan said they were like Barcelona, "more than a club". Seriously? LOL. Comparing Rangers to Barcelona is like comparing Susan Boyle to Cheryl Cole.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha GAGUS, but our Ed007 tries to keep us politically correct but here is what I say if the bears see this joke
Friends come and go but enemies tend to Accumulate
When i go on gers site if i cant convince them I just confuse them and finally
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you DO criticize them you are a mile away and you have their shoes LOl Timalloy (Ps posted little message on man utd site for you will tell you answer tomorrow if you cant get it)

Hi ed I know that this page is for the hoops but cant resist this one,Bartley to be recalled by Arsenal as they dont have enough cover at the back and the dark side are in bother with Uefa because Bocunegra was ineligible to play on thursday due to incorrect paperwork

Wheres the prove on the darkside in trouble ??? {Ed007's Note - The prove is in the pudding.................

Just a few things 1. As or gaffer said the performance against Sion was not Samaras's fault the whole team was poor. People were shouting at him when he headed the ball forward and his nearest teammate was 20 yards away. Not one player got passmarks Sammy is the onlt striker we have with pace the ability to run by players and height and getting on his back everytime he puts on the jersey doesnt help a players confidence. The boo bhoys in my eyes are disgracefull and not what you expect from what we say are the best fans in the world, its what i would expect from the otherside of Glasgow.
2. Stokes is only good against mediocre SPL teams and Hooper sometimes struggles against good teams especially away from home and most most of their goals were scored against the weaker sides and at home.
3. People wanting us to sign Adam Le Fondre and other average players get with the times he's a league 2 player and will just be as effective as the average strikers we already have.
4. Unless we spend money on decent players we will continue to struggle in Europe and against better sides an example is we could have got Shane Long for £4m at the start of last season but refused to pay that he has now scored against Man Utd and Chelsea in his first two games for WBA which makes £4 seem it would have been a great investment.

On the previous post, I think that it is def possible that ki OR kayal could go IF we don't get to the group stages of the europa - this would fall in line with the Mc Geady sale last year. However the board and lenny could convince both to hang around if we get to groups and then push on the league this year- the carrot being automatic champs league. If ki or kayal go I can see a midfield of Commons on the left, brown and led in the middle and forest on the right. We do badly need another striker folks and being honest I'm not sure where to turn (we say we need a target man then surely mc fadden , skip or bellamy don't fit the mould?) Or lenny could be of the opinion the Hooper / Stokes partnership doesn't have a target man so its only backup required in which case Skip, Faddy or bellamy would all help Ps Brown out for tomorrow? #HH

I know Samaras gets pelters and I have spilled a lot of beer jumpin up and down losin the rag wi him. But I have just watched the first half of Arsenal v Liverpool and Kuyt and Carroll cost £40m and they look really average to me. wan canny pass the salt and the other spends more time on his backside than Ironside. Anyway I have calmed down a bit after Thursdays rant but I do insist we need a couple of additions like - Lambert, La Fondre, Bradley Wright Phillips, or John Daly and there must be a centre half like Mjallby or Balde out there??

Jinky Fan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree Jinky Fan Carrol and even Torres how much did that pair cost and on their recent showings, Big Sammy not that bad. Agree wee Lee Fondre would be good signing, but have feeling Lennon is holding out hope of Bellamy still coming. Hail hail timalloy

I read on here some fans trying to take the piss out of rangers getting beaten the other night. The difference is thy have the away goal and will go trough, we have a terrible record away from home and I think we are out

Also a bit concerned about our chances in the spl, they are starting to add a few decent players and fear they will get a boost if they beat Maribor, also they are adding more.

We need to get rid of dead wood. Also don't thnk stokes or sammy are euro class. This is a disaster for Lennon. I think he needs to win on Thursday. If we don't that is us knocked out of Europe in the first round two years running - not acceptable no matter how unglamorous te Europa is

Believable3 Unbelievable0

You don't go through with an 'away goal' when your 2-1 down Still a chance Sion game will be irrelevant if UEFA boot them out... But, would prefer a win. However, interesting that you seem concerned about Rangers signings, wouldn't have any of them Our troubles at the moment are very much the injuries and with every SPL team, you cannot get a quality player to sit on the bench...

Agree0 Disagree0

If you actually read the primary poster's writings properly you would have seen he never said you go through with ahn away goal if you're 2-1 down.

Rangers fan . I could,nt help notice the headline
yesterday The old firm defend the scottish game etc
where mcoist and lennon are actually
in agreement for once.Strangely enough
Ive been saying for a while also that the scottish game is in decline, apart from the cost to the supporters which is over the top in
my opinion current inflation in the cost of living etc means we all have to make choices.Im tired of seeing the majority of football fans and clubs in denial of these basic facts I just wodered what the celtic supporters think about what Im saying because no way is your fan base filled with
with high earners that can support your club no more than ours can support our club do you think way in the future there might be room
for the 2 clubs to become partners and put their differences aside? {Ed007's Note - Have you ever thought that they have been partners behind the scenes for years to maximise each others financial income?}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Original poster yes editor I do think along similar lines but my problem with that has to be the exploitation of a religeous differences in what appears to be pure and simply pursuit of profit Im not a religeous person at all Im probably closer to being an agnostic so I dont care what colour you all wear I just like the sport side of it -what I cant get over in both sides of this coin is how stupid in general both sets of fans have become instead of looking at this rationally its just the usual mindless rubbish.I know both sides of that coin and theres no higher moral ground .

Agree0 Disagree0

Game has been in decline for many years..I watched Jimmy Johnstone story recently (Bhoys Life) & Jinky was saying just after the European Cup victory they asked for more wages as Man Utd were on a good bit more back then as well..hence the reason Denis Law never played in Scotland. With the exception of a couple of players, the only reason they come to SPL is to attact attention in England. Old Firm fans have been kidding themselves for years...you only have to look at Barca v Real Madrid to know we're not a patch on that kind of atmosphere or game. Its time to get real.. It is what it is guys

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah ticket prices have been a disgrace for a number of years. I understand the clubs need to make money, but there are ways it could be made more fair. I'd like to see more deals on *individual* match tickets and lower prices (and ones which benefit the lone 18-25 fan and not just parents with kids - my kid getting in for a fiver isn't a good deal, as guess what, I don't have a kid). Season ticket prices are expensive but I guess there are deals (OAP, no OF, student etc.) and payment options but my point is that not everyone can go or wants to go to every game but cheaper deals might entice this type of fan and make it seem less expensive (have a season ticket this year but last season didn't and went to 3 home games but I'd certainly have gone to more if there were better deals).

The problem with this is that deals with tickets are hard to do with so many season book holders who'd gain nothing from them. I guess it could be balanced up with cheap cup games or if European games were an option (e.g. half price for season ticket holders) but clubs wouldn't want to lose out in games that will sell.

I guess in the clubs' eyes if people can and will pay there's no need to drop prices. But I think games that don't sell and that are all ticket out should be cheaper (I'm talking a tenner for adults, not 20 quid as I paid for a game last year) to encourage more people to go. There's nothing worse than empty stadia and no atmosphere which is often what you get at cup games against smaller opposition and are the types of games neutrals would go to due to large ticket availability and slightly lower prices. Does nothing to sell the club to potential supporters and nothing for the reputation of Scottish football.

as much time as i have for the legend neil lennon he is really frustrating me at the moment when he continues to back samaras and stick up for his under par performances. this has got to stop and enough is enough. the guy has to go now. if had had went in whole heartedly for the rebound off maloneys free kick he would have scored instead as usual he goes in half heartedly worrying abount ripping his tights. there is no place for this type of player a parkhead as he epitomises everything that a celtic player shudnt be and everything neil lennon wasnt as a player. while daryll murphy isnt blessed with ability the guy gets 10 out of 10 for effort and is always willing to get hurt n put his body on the line which is why i would never boo or fault a guy that at least trys.

I've said it before folks and I'll say it again........Scott McDonald is the man we need. He has been here, did the business with some style and never really wanted to leave in the first place.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Mowbray was an idiot to get shot of Wee Scott, i'd have him back in a heartbeat

Samaras showed on thursday why we NEED another one maybe two strikers

DazzaBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumours are rife on Facebook that Skippy's going to Rangers....not sure of their source

Agree0 Disagree0

It was Peter Lawwell who forced McDonald out. Certainly Mowbray wasnt a huge fan - he said as much about the whole team but ultimately it was McDonald out or no Robbie Keane. The dreamer did well whilst here but it's backfired longterm. That said, not sure McDonald is the player we should go for now. If we can only get one striker he should be imposing. McDonald and Hooper too similar IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never He wouldn't go near ibrokes

DazzaBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I liked McDonald even though he moaned a lot, but agree it would not be viable to have him, Hooper and Stokes (Maloney) in the same forward line. Ricky Lambert or even the big guy Daly from Dundee Utd

Agree0 Disagree0

The McDonald to Rangers rumour has been going for a few weeks but definitely heating up this week.

Not sure he's what we need. Too similar to what we have already.

We need a target man type striker with a physical presence that'll win crosses in the air and hold the ball up. Probably get pelters for this but IMO Fortuné who we had under Mowbray would've been a cracking partner for Hooper.

Evening Ed
Just need your opinion & everyone elses if poss?
Should we be concearned with the wholesale changes & new faces over in the Dark side of Glasgow? I know its frustrating when you see them putting a bid in for a different player everyday or are they just doing what we did last summer? I know we dont need many new faces but i feel we do need just something a little different for us to get excited about & giving out trials really i think is not the answer.

thanks

Ro. {Ed007's Note - I'm not overtly worried about what Rangers are doing, obviously McCoist needed to freshen things up and try stamping his mark on the squad/team.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

McKay and Bocanegra? Not quite yet mate but we need to make sure our signings are good
Kevbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fan here, we're in a worse off state than we were last season with no owner, lots of debt, no squad etc So I'd hardly worry about our current ''Signings''
