Rangers director of communications James Traynor has left his post with immediate effect.

The Ibrox club issued a short statement on Friday announcing his departure, saying: "Rangers today announced that director James Traynor has left the club."

A spokesman for the Rangers board told TV: "The directors at Rangers are looking at a range of cost-cutting measures. It's fair to say James Traynor's departure is part of that."

Needless to say King has failed and Jabba is sacked. {Ed007's Note - I heard that as he was kicked down the marble staircase (no pun intended) he could be heard murmuring 'but the history did die, I told you all that'.
I hate hearing about normal people losing their job, but that piece of pond-life is very far from normal. It couldn't happen to a nicer 'man'.}

Give it a week and he will be back with the record and radio Scotland with his tail between his legs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Booted ignominiously out into the dark wet cold street without the merc. He had to hail hail a taxi.
Security passes handed over. Unemployed. Services no longer required.
He always appeared to have a foot in all camps. Kinda difficult when there's three or more. He and his sidekick KJ perception peddled to fools for decades.
The easdales will become the new force for many years to come. I expect McCoist to get the shove at the next opportunity too. It's all the Easdales vision from here on in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jabba the tur* changed his opinion 180 degrees regularly in the press.
Disingenuous, made up nonsense, Noddygate, down right fibs, bears must hate him for the deceptions he pulled.
Telling them get behind Whyte get behind green, Ahmad, mathers, Stockbridge, easdales, .

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll await to see who he joins and then ignore it. Never to listed or read his trash brand of crap hack junk.

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be a day of reckoning Jim. Lol. Jokes on you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are they saying they need cost cutting measures? Only last week Stockbridge was saying money wasn't a problem!

Agree0 Disagree0

Discarded like an old used nude magazine. Lol. Irony of ironies, his sacking used on the day of King's big release to deflect.
Jabba: we need a deflection story, I'm really smart.
Easdale: yeah we've been saving a fat juicy one, you're fired, hand in your canteen vouchers on the way out.
Sally: tough one jim I'll comfort you outside the door. Can I have your lunch vouchers?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jabba hounded those who claimed sevco had no money. Now they've sacked him claiming no money but have only two directors on payroll. Lol. And have advertised for CEO. Lol Jabba treated like a total fool, he HAS to spill the beans.
Clearly he was temporarily used to shut him up on dead club stance and promote shares with WS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing but a yes man.YES, YES, YES, GOODBYE

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read Traynor's article in Record. Hard to establish what point he is making, or what exactly are all the good memories he mentions.

Agree0 Disagree0

The TV guy unveiling his emails to Craig Whyte for editing and approval before publishing next day, begs the question did he do that for SDM for decades. Everyone used to joke his articles read as though they were written by SDM. He's now a busted flush. Are fans now interested in him or his opinion? Like everyone else in this debacle he's trying to keep fans on his side. Deady bears really are deluded if they don't realise he was part of the machine used to separate them from their money by a succession of bandits.

Agree0 Disagree0

Succulent corned beef. Lol

@ED007 "your patter cannot be any worse than Timalloy's".
Just for that here are 2 Halloween (albeit a day late) jokes.
What are witches favourite group?
BROOMSKI BEAT.
A dog gets chased out of a pub and the landlord slams the door catching it's tail which is chopped off, causing the poor dog to die.
Later that evening the ghost of the dog goes to the pub in the early hours of the morning.
Startled, the landlord asks the ghostly dog what he has come for, and the dog says "my tail"
"Go away, says the landlord, "we do not RE TAIL SPIRITS after 11 oclock". Timalloy
PS 007 any more "insults" will result in my old joke book being taken out of mothballs lol
PPS or I may ask everyone to send you all their corny jokes {Ed007's Note - Corny I can handle mate, your jokes are so bad Frankie Boyle is funny next to them, well maybe that's a bit too far.}

Best wishes to Fernando Ricksen. I really hated him as a player but I never knew him as a person. I'm sure he is a right decent spud and I hope he can cope with his illness.

Hail Hail

Surely rather than playing the 3 champions league home games at murrayfield we and UEFA have the chance to do something special. Why don't we play the games in the USA. The NFL play at wembley each year to gain publicity and promote American football worldwide. Surely this would be a huge publicity generating machine for the Champions league and ourselves and would allow supporters abroad the chance to see a meaningful game rather than the insipid lacklustre friendlies they normally get. We regularly sell out American venues so there would be no problem with this.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Then you can be the one who asks a club (possibly a club already playing domestic football) if they would mind the nightmare of heading across the Atlantic rather than down the road to Edinburgh

@Rangobango UEFA have put kibosh on playing qualifiers outside Scotland.
Here is my idea, instead of fans having to travel to Edinburgh (Murrayfield) why not play games at closest SPFL ground, Fir Park Motherwell.
Yes I know ground only holds about 18,000 but these CL qualifiers rarely attract the 50,000/60,000 crowds anyway.
Benefit to fans no long journey, guaranteed full houses and good atmosphere. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

@2) The qualifiers don't attract 60,000 but they get in excess of 40 and the final play off round usually almost sells out so a lot if supporters would miss out. I don't think fir park is the answer personally, not big enough. Ideally it would hold more and with it being so close it would be perfect. I think it has to be Murrayfield

Aternoon Ed007, Timalloy could'nt agree more, using other grounds to, such as tannadice, maybe not popular but tynecastle and kilmarnock spreading the distance for travelling fans, I would like to think the board could make a gesture of reduced prices or kids free and use murrayfield .be gentle it's only a suggestion lol {Ed007's Note - Hi mate, happy Friday.}

@ (4) cheers Ed. Lol, i'm, begining to think I've convinced you I am ' a nugget ' I'm trying my best to get involved with the posts, I won't get involved with the petty or point scoring stuff I'm not clever or witty enough with the banter I'll leave that to the pro's on here, keep up the good work . {Ed007's Note - Your patter can't be any worse than Timalloy's though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I know uefa have put the stoppers on a venue outside of Scotland but I feel this is wrong and a mistake on their part. We could play the first round in somewhere like USA and really publicize Celtic but also the Champions league maybe an end result of more viewers in an emerging market for football. If its the first leg we could tack it on to the end of tour if the second it could be a beginning and have a money spinning glamour friendly after it

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but how is your average die hard meant to afford three trips to the us.of a in such a small space of time or is it alright to forget the true fan for the sake of the global buck which with t.v and the like dictating the game is just a step after the step too far
HH Thommyj

Agree0 Disagree0

One would be good for the club preferrably the first one Peter lawell is out in China trying to promote the club something like this would be a godsend to him and could result in millions for the club in sponsorship and investment I for one would be happy to miss the odd game for long term stability

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 Sorry Rango bango but I want to watch Celtic live, why should Celtic take these game's away from their bread and butter fan's

Thing is about the usa thing is that its the european(europe)cup and don't really think usa is in europe, although i'd be all for it, great idea, ., .

Agree0 Disagree0

Israel is hardly europe either and London certainly isn't the home of the NFL but regular season game is played each year there

Well if this were to happen, if CFC did go tto the U.S. for a game or two, I think UEFA could foot the bill? Why should we promote their corrupt competition for them? pea

UEFA set the precedent of us being allowed to play in author country when we had to play rapid"cheating diving barstewards" Vienna at old Trafford.gona be something that suits everyone at UEFA and on our board, more likely old trafford but the aviva was packed for the Liverpool game, can't see it being anywhere else bar those two. {Ed007's Note - The only worry myself, and probably Greater Manchester Police, would have about playing at OT is that our fans would be infiltrated by Chelsea supporters intent on causing trouble. We have to remember that in 2008 all of a sudden every single Rangers supporter who spoke with an English accent was actually a Chelsea fan in 'disguise'.
They estimated that 250,000 Rangers fans descended on Manchester but when the dust settled and they worked it out it seems that Rangers only had 37,500 fans, the other 212,500 were (English accented) Chelsea supporters only there to cause trouble.
At least it helps dispel the myth about how many Rangers fans there actually used to be.
That shows that Chelsea were better represented in Manchester 2008 than both of the finalists combined, with more numbers than Chelsea have ever had at ANY of their own games and over 10 times the amount of England fans who travelled to South Africa for the last World Cup.
With figures like that they will soon be pushing Man Utd as the most followed club in the world (659 million).
I've often wondered (and had the question blanked/avoided) if the fans who travel up from England to watch The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub are still labelled 'infiltrating Chelsea' fans by their fellow fans and their new club?}
