What a great second goal every Celtic player touched the ball including Gordon without a Dundee player touching it before brown tucked it away 😊

Yes Fab1 our second goal was wonderful, the perfect team goal but I have to say I was very impressed by all five goals , each one a thing of beauty , so rare when a team scores five . The first a brilliant cross from Izzy from the touch line and a fantastic jump and header from Griffiths , The third a brilliant controlled chip on to the in running Fisher who was downed immediately after he controlled the ball on his chest. The Rangers Madden had no option but to give a penalty . Mind you he had no option but to give a penalty in the first half after his friend Thompson fouled Johannson but he managed to not give it . Fourth goal beautiful break from defence and Commons gave Forrest a beautiful pass which James took in his stride and buried it. Then there was Bitton's brilliant finish from about 28 yds . What a great Friday night of football.

The curse of enjoying a gamble means I can't appreciate bittons goal lol , as I had a fiver on Griffiths and 4-0 at 30/1 😌

A great all round night but Biton's goal topped it for me. More like 40 yard side foot. Goal of the season by a mile!

That game was packed with some good football and special goals, but I have to agree with Chris about Madden.
It's so easy to criticise these 'Honest Mistake' merchants if we lose or the decision changes a game - but the biased is there for all to see in too many games.
Anyway, it did not detract from a Champion performance and a classic team goal - that will probably never get the plaudits and recognition it deserves.
Forrest took his goal superbly and that will give him a boost, while Bitton will never hit a better shot and Scott Brown must be having the best ever season of his career.

You win 5 0 Chris and you still talk about a referee being a rangers fan, must've been a conspiracy for you not to win 6 0 this game eh?

Madden was , is ,and will be a cheat of a referee . Just because last night he was only able to delay the goal rush doesn't take anything away from his bigotry and cheating . Madden is such an important clog in the Scottish referees cheating agenda , he had a role in officiating at Tynecastle today , less than 15 hours after the game finished at Parkhead .
I wonder why?

Think u were rite paradise, big biton had a few sloppy passes in that 1st half! Think he was on top form in that 2nd half but,and topped it off with a peach of a strike! Really good performance tonite, and Browns goal was quality! Best we've played in a while.been doing well but that was a really encouraging show tonite! I for one hope we need to get a result against Adeen next week! Be good to give them a good humping and win the league up there!

I wonder who told Bitton about Paradisewon's criticism as Bitton finished up with him been a contender for man of the match . His role in the third goal and his strike for the fifth were out of this world .

Just paper talk of course but pleasing to read RD wants a good colonic irrigation of the playing squad. Something I feel RDs first full summer needs to really get the ball rolling on his plans. Too many either not conteibuting or some that do are nothing more than average SPL players. One rag sayin 9 could leave. Heres my 9:

Ambrose
Stokes
Mulgrew
Boerrigter
Zaluska
Wakaso
Tonev
Balde
Pukki

Easier said than done but that's a decent wage trimmed and a few million in the bank. let's hope it doesn't stay there.

Jim mostly agree, think he will keep Big Efe as he had played every position in the back 4, not very well at times granted, but still great versatility. He may keep Stokes as well but either way I would not be crying if any of the 9 went. Hail Hail

The only one I would keep is big mulgrew.hes had his injury problems lately but when he's fit and on his game he's a good player to have in the squad! As for Ambrose,he should be one of the 1st to go! If there's any sort of money offered for him in the summer then take it! Never mind versatility, because he's woeful in every postion he plays! The rest are dead wood and hopefully we get shot of them! I'd add scepovic to that list to.its obvious he has no desire to be here and he looks like he rather be anywhere else but here!

JIMTIM you forgot about Denayer and Guidetti also leaving and possibly VVD so there are a possible whole team leaving, but I also think Stokes will stay one more season as he links up well with Izzy down left and Ambrose (although not my kind of player) will probably stay also. Even if we only moved on 5 of the players mentioned and maybe extended loans of 2 more that would free up enough space for some decent players and a couple of up and coming young players. In addition if we could get both Lustig and Mathews fully fit what a difference that would make, so a good rest then a good pre season is vital not just for those two but the whole squad, only upside of not making cup final is players get an extra weeks rest.

To get rid of Ambrose, Stokes , and Mulgrew without having replacement players in and given five or six months to prove themselves would be extremely stupid and dangerous. Many of our least informed posters have been wanting rid of Ambrose for a long time . They don't seem to want is best for Celtic. Most of this season especially this year Ambrose has filled in well in every position I the back four . We would have had serious problems if we hadn't Ambrose . Stokes is inconsistent , but when he is good he is very good , I appreciate that Stokes doesn't deliver often enough . In Mulgrew's case we don't have a notion , how he has reacted to Deila's first season at Celtic . He may react well or may not , what is the rush to get rid of the player in one of his last games before injury was probably the best for Scotland against the ROI.

Jim great shout on all I just hope we have got players lined up to come in Quick for the CL qualifiers because we will not for sure qualify if we don't strengthen before then Just my opinion

Some decent replies. First and foremost, none of those players are irreplaceable. Far from it. Stokes does link up well with Izzy, and can pop up with something special but not often enough. Ambrose and Mulgrew are versatile, which I like, and can be important for a small squad which is what RD wants. Ambrose though, only has pace and is clumsy to be quite honest. Mulgrew, again versatile, good delivery and range but doesn't have the legs or technique to cut it at CL level for me. Not in CM. Chris, like RD shouldn't be, you can't get sentimental over players because they've tried hard or put in a few decent performances, not least for a different team. RD needs to be ruthless, if there are better players to be had, we need to go and get them.

JimJim I think most of us would accept that none of the players are irreplaceable but you know as well as I know that Celtic will not be paying anything like £20m for four or five players . We cannot have great confidence of all the players we buy on the cheap or sign as bowman' sorry even as loans will come here and be able to produce their best when called on . Undoubtedly some will , but we don't want to be in the same position as we were in the Cup semi final and have to pick the equivalent of Tonev , because of injuries or suspensions . That's why I counsel patience in moving players on , sometimes the devil ( back-up ) we know is better than the devil we have yet to meet.

Not sure what you're saying chris fella. We should just stick with some of our squad because we know them? Because we know they're not contributing as much as others might?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2015 22:14:44
Jim Jim until we know that we have replacements in who are better , I don't think we should be pushing any out.
For example if we don't lose either of our centre backs , and if we buy a versatile back four player that can be back up and can put pressure on the existing defenders ,
surely we would be foolish to sell Ambrose and find the newly bought defender not as good as Ambrose
