I know Lawwell has his faults but you cannot argue against the fact that he is brilliant at negotiating transfer fees and has got us top dollar for many of the players who have moved on.

Personally, I would like the club to explore the possibility of him staying on in that capacity, as it would be a blow to lose that expertise.

What does everyone else think?

we have already seen what happens when you don't keep control of the purse strings.
PL was just too involved at times but he kept our finances solid and as said, was a good negotiator.
However, football has changed and its time for new strategy and ideas.
As for NL? He might not be the sharpest but the players (especially) and the Board let him down very badly this year.
Lennon will carry the can but a large mirror needs to be held up to the players so they can see who let us down for the 10
Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Lennon at work, I actually think he doesn’t get value for players . I can’t think of many where we actually got a good deal for players. 25 million for tierney was a massive under sell . Even if you think of Armstrong, van dijk, both players undervalued. He has missed out on quite a few players by not spending an extra half a million / million that has gone on to make big money or at the very least would have contributed to the team massively.
His time has well passed.

Does anyone think Celtic will need to rest McGregor especially with the Euros he is not going to get much rest before the start of next season when we need him fresh. Young O connell could do a job there?

I reckon the Premiership will finish early on the 1st and 2nd of May, if this year’s Scottish Cup campaign is cancelled.
The Scottish Championship is due to finish on Friday night 30th April before they start their playoff games.
The last game of the split was already brought forward by 7 weeks when Celtic played Ross County.
The first game after the split will probably be the first week in April and the last game will be the first weekend in May.
It means no midweek fixtures will be needed.
It will also give the Scottish based players a couple of weeks rest before they meet up for the Euro’s.

Agree Bhoys, I think CalMac looks knackered and scunnered TBH.

As WGS said at the weekend, senior pkayers (Brown and CalMac) are looking for others to step up and take some responsibility during a game as opposed to it always being them.
