While i am desperate for BR to bring in some new faces I think we have to give him time to assess who he wants to keep and who he wants to get rid of ( and there's a few) and clear up some wages to hopefully be in a position to bring in some quality rather than the quantity at present. I can name at least 6 that I would get rid of and realise about 60-80k per week.

Hi folks what do you think of Neil Lennon becoming the new Hibs boss. I would like to see him doing well.

Is it definitely a goer? I'd like him to do well as long as he doesn't beat us.

Reckon Hughes will be nex Hibs boss and think he would probably be better suited.

I'd like to see him do well too first and foremost.

No disrespect to Hibs, because I have a soft spot for them as well but to end up their such a short time from being at Celtic is a bit of a fall from grace.

Bolton was a terrible career move from the word go, that bad in fact, in order to restore some managerial status he's now at a side that have just been playing in a division below his club previous to Bolton, the League Champions. To put it in perspective a bit, Alan Stubbs sees it that to further his progress, he's now went to Rotherham. It's a long way up for NL now after taking on the Bolton gig, but good luck to him.

I think he is hoping to be considered. So it has a fair bit to go yet . N L doesn't seem to be as well thought of by club's boards, as he thinks, or indeed many of us when he managed us.

Best of luck to him if true least we could send hibs a few fringe players on loan.

I would be delighted if it happened tomorrow. That way he can stop talking about how Rodgers beat him to the job and everything else celtic

Wish him all the best and hopefully can develop a few of our younger boys also.

Think Hughes will be the next Hibs boss, think the bookies will make a bit of money out of NL.

can see lennon in a position in the far east or something along those lines.

Personally I couldn't care less who Hibernian I ploys as manager and although I was very fond of and loyal to N L when he was employed bu us as player, captain and manager, it's definitely time he moved on and we moved on too.

Would we be better concentrating on markets in Eastern Europe rather than trying to buy championship/ league one players?
I would have thought there would be more chance of securing better quality players in the 3 - 4 million (if that's out market level? ) rather than the inflated English market?
Can we invest more in the youth academy and try to make Celtic a brand for European youngsters to develop at Celtic with a route to CL as an end result?
I would like to see 2 - 3 signings (and a clear out) of decent first team quality and our own kids supporting.
As fans we must let the talent learn on the pitch and not berate them/ loose confidence if they make a mistake.
KT great example- let's build on this.
For me a left winger and a striker (or two) is the priority this summer.

I think we shouldn't tie ourselves down to any particular market but concentrate on getting the players that Brendan Rodgers feels we need .
Of course if the fans get restless and berate our players who make a mistake, this causes individual lost of confidence that can grow into whole team loss of confidence.

does anyone think like me that this season we might see the wage budget increased, can't see BR wages being 45g and there will be no movement on players wages, also they must have bust they're arses getting barton (must b on at least 20k) so i don't think that will sit well with DD ( if he's more hands on) opens us up to a whole different field if we up it.

No idea if we will revise the wage cap but it's possible?
However, we are currently off-loading as much deadwood and surplus players as we can and that will make funds available to either improve existing deals for top stars or help attract more quality.
As for the tribute act, long may they over-stretch and burst their budget on thugs and clowns and maybe we might just have 'Jelly and Icecream' party no 2.

Would we not need to get Brown to remove a clause in his contract that makes him top earner at the club if we were looking a changing the wage structure?

I really would like to see changes in the salary cap, three or four good quality players on good money, will give us a chance in Europe, and let us not forget in the cups, which are also really important given our track record over the past few seasons.
But my question is to anyone who knows, where is the clear out that everyone is talking about? Real time I see only Scepovic has gone, even then not sure that this is 100% Cole can be/ will be bought out and CKR maybe off, the rest I think is speculation? Does anyone have a realtime update?

I doubt that celtic would insert a clause in any players contract that they would be the highest paid player at the club as far as i am aware celtic run a wage tier system of bronze silver and gold brown being in the gold tier on 25kpw the max but joe ledley was also on that amount

Rodgers is probably assessing the squad. It may be that he may give players a chance that didn't perform under the old regime, he might think he can do something to improve these players.
I've no doubt that we will sign players, but I would have thought that a big part of his remit is to try and improve the players that are here already. Our club doesn't like to spend any more money than is absolutely necessary.

Why do so many of us think we are mind readers . I haven't a notion what Brendan Rodgers is thinking about our players but the one thing I think is that the transfer market is very quiet just now . I reckon in many cases, Managers and buyers, agents and players are grabbing their holidays now when the market is virtually dead . If
B R was running around demanding answers when no one else seems interested he might be seen to be a tad desperate and not in our interest .

Hey all.

First time posting.

Just a thought, usually when the powers to be are quiet and the daily ranger has nothing linking us with players, usually means something is happening. I really hope it is someone else to get us excited about.
