i really think deep down wanyama would accept a contract extension if we made him a top earner. think about it it, he has never been quoted as saying he is unhappy or wants to leave, its just agents stirring a lot of crap and trying to get bonuses for themselves which has really lit up this saga. I think wanyama would be thinking that by having just turned 22 and the opportunity to play in europes finest again will spark a dramatic u- turn and sign a new deal if we offer him the terms. I would much rather use the money to offer him a bumper deal rather than bring someone else in for centre mid. we, ve got plenty of money and I would be particularly disappointed if cfc don't offer him 1 b4 the window shuts and also the fact he hasn't been quoted saying he wants away, if anyone proves me wrong then feel free,, just my honest opinion.greenbhoy67

Hi Greenboy, I do agree with you that in an ideal world he would stay. As 1. He is happy here and 2. We do have the funds to make him a top earner. The fact is however, that Celtic are just as keen to sell him. NOW. Let's be honest.all this talk of Man Utd, Arsenal etc is rubbish. The FIRST team to give Celtic over £11m AND meet the players demands WILL get him. Although his agent/s is/are certainly holding things up, wanting his/their cut. persons! HH YNWA!

If the money comes to the table then we will sell him to the 1st club that offer it. We will make at least 50% profit off him been great but 6 good games in Europe won't keep a player at Celtic park. Wanyama has never done the club wrong in anyway and all I can hope for is he goes to a respectable club down south and really gets a name for himself. Agents are a agents, it's nothing new they stir things.

Over the past couple of days we have been given the perfect example of the blatant inequality in reporting by the Scottish mainstream media . 3 players have left Scottish football over the weekend, one from Celtic and two from Sevco, all three moved with no money changing hands, Thomas Rogne moved to Wigan too reports that Celtic had missed out on a fee for Rogne, but when Bocanegra and Goian left Sevcovia it was a great bit of business that saved the Tribute Act millions of pounds! typical Scottish journalism .

Mate the worst bit is after the rags giving it the big one about Goian an Bocanegra going is 2 million savings for sevco it turns out Goian is being paid £500k to cancel his contract. No news on Bocanega yet but its just pathetic biased journalism. It can't be perceived any other way as its so blatant.

At least when we call biased about the media we have the information to back it up, its absolutely embarrassing the amount of imbeciles over on the dark side calling the Lawwell godfather of scottish football card with not a single iota of concrete evidence or information to back it up exept paranoid sh*te they've read on sc*mbag media or porkies they've been told by there bitter mate at work.

Were you not a tad deluded when you though RFC were financially sound enough to 'pay' £4m for Jelavic even though your Club had well publicised debts and had been up for sale for years? Why did you think you could afford a £4m luxury?

Celtic show nothing but respect to other Scottish Clubs, they pay them if they owe them money and do not encourage fans to boycott grounds or turn up at part-time Clubs in some tacky, over the top bus.

Celtic fans have seen their certified accounts and if they want to speculate about loan players knowing the Club can possibly offer CL football, then why is that deluded? ~ Mrs E

Mrs E I did not personally call you deluded and when Rangers signed Jelavic I was only a 17 or 18 year old lad finances did not worry me I admit to being one who thought the club was too big to die. Plus we sold him on for a profit even though that went into Craig Whytes pockets which is sickening. I would have loved Rangers to have offered a Respectable CVA & survived that Admin but I strongly believe this was a Craig Whyte Agenda to liquidate the club Duff & Phelps must be the worst Adminstrators on earth be honest the whole thing was a farce & there was only ever going to be one Consortium who got there hands on the Club & that was Charles Green.
I didn't say Celtic as a club do not show there fellow SPL teams respect but for your fans to think it's funny that one of us said the team would need determination & guts as the competition would be stronger all I simply stated was that teams need to show respect no matter how much bigger & better they are than there opponents some stray results from both teams last season proved that just turning up isn't 3 points. Players like Black & Samaras need to get that into there heads but anyway we get poked fun of at every angle the Sinclair & Adebaypur rumours I found funny let's face it you get them on every site & it's highly unlikely theyl move to the SPL for a crack at the CL but if there clubs were looking to loan them out they probs wouldn't want to loan th to another EPL team so there's a small chance. All in all the players was just a wee light hearted joke & sorry you took offence to the Deluded part I took offence to our fans being called a knuckledraggers the other day but hey ho such is life like I've said thick skim is a must in this country.

It's only snide when I try to have a bit of banter on here after suffering many a torturings from Stevo, Green Jehdi, Mrs E, Timalloy Shammy . Should I go on? Braw fishing weather here on the dark side. The thing is I may not be as smart or as well punctuated as The likes of Mrs E but I wear my heart on my sleeve just like you guys all are now. Football is all about opinion, I've been slated on here as well for stuff others don't agree with. I've well and truly put myself in it by saying I do not think there will be a German team in the Champions League final next year and I will be sticking by it. I'm watching these big gun transfers very closely and was glad to see Isco go to Real Madrid.

Rangers have been spending huge for a long while, £12m for Tore Andre Flo? Celtic have never spent anywhere near that on one player. They absolutely rubbed Scottish Football's nose in this wealth so you can maybe understand why it was amusing. Also, can you imagine the outrage if Celtic had not paid Her Majesty their taxes? (Please try to imagine this one given how all things British and Royal your Club's fans are)

Celtic Football Club are in no way disrespectful to other Clubs but fans from both Celtic and Rangers suffer badly from 'big Club' syndrome. As you said yourself, you thought Rangers were too big to die. Thankfully in 1994, Celtic fans were a bit more realistic but we also had a Stadium issue as well back then.

To be honest, I really thought what Charles Green done last season at Dundee Utd was humiliating for your Club particularly as he took the gate receipt money (giving it to charity was neither here nor there, CG still took the money). ~ Mrs E

Larkybear, the facts are that queen of the south romped that league on about £250k tops. You lot are spending millions here, why? Because you've got an inept manager who can't manage, tactically useless and have to bring in these mercenaries to ensure you get promoted. It is a joke ok and I stand by my original post. Don't compare us with ure 1 yr old team playing part timers every week, slight difference son when we're juggling European games, domestic cups and playing in the top league in Scotland.
