Monkey bhoy, your right, Commons has become our main guy for goals these days, we also need a good penalty box striker with a a bit of height. Still, an excellent all round performance today.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Commons is such an important player for us. Creates and scores goals from nowhere, tactically good and a quick thinker, bit of a leader as well. Hasn't quite been his best in CL but same can be said of a few. We're a much better side with Brown and Ledley in too though. Biton can play, perhaps over the next few months we might get to see someone starting to resemble Wanyamas replacement.

Played well today great result. Hoping for you lot in the draw tomorrow personally!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All the lower league clubs want to play the big teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Me too omr, another routing will be coming your way. any zombie follower that thinks "the rangers" stand any chance of winning needs to seriously tuck their teeth back into their trousers and stay off the glue

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not too bothered who Celtic get OMR.

Suppose Dundee Utd are one to watch, Jackie Mac has them playing some lovely football.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 2

I don't doubt you would beat us, so you should as well.

@ Mrs E

Dundee United are looking very good, I like McNamara as a manager. His team are playing some lovely stuff as you say.

01 Dec 2013 19:15:35
Thats who well probably get then mrs e lol think we can bank on another away tie anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

I fully expect Celtic would beat Rangers comfortably should they be drawn together in the next couple of seasons, as they should do. I would like to see it this year simply because it would be something to look forward to. It would also be very interesting to see the reaction the draw gets and the build up to the match. I imagine there would be quite a few upset Celtic supporters due to the guaranteed, widespread talk of it being the first Old Firm game in a couple of years. That is certainly how it will be advertised, you can bank on that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry omr but I'd like anyone but the rangers, simply I find the old firm tag ofencive as do many others, we wish to stand alone seperate from you'we feel you have dragged us down to your level (not you personally) and wish no part in forming a new bond with the club you have chosen to follow after the demise of rfc. We also would prefer not to give our hard earned cash to the so called spivs in the same foolish manner as you lot have done
HHThommyj

Agree0 Disagree0

For me and the majority the sooner newco/oldco/sevco/rifc or whatever people want to call them get back the better attendances are falling like a stone, atmosphere is dire and only when we are pushed in the league will fans return and it will help attract slightly better players. I might get shot down but be honest when will we ever fill our ground for a domestic match in the current situation?
Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

Attendances wer way down when rangers wer still alive at both celtic park and ibrox

Great display today, against a very poor Hearts team it must be said, 7 magnificent goals but not one by a recognised striker. Stokes very quiet, and I don't think Pukki knows where the goals are, kept going in opposite direction. Commons now seems to be our main striker by default. Hope new signings in January will give us striker we can rely on.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was commons played as a striker today if so a striker scored, his movement was good he isn't scared to shoot and has two good feet. A here what your saying he's not really a striker but could we not give him a run as a striker see how he does after all he is our top scorer.

Monkey bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearts 0 Celtic 7 and what do we get, fans greeting because a striker never scored, there's just no pleasing some fans.jimbhoy

Thank you Neil Lennon and Celtic for cheering me up after a CL nightmare and very sad weekend in Glasgow.
At last the team got it right with slick passing, great movement and organisation and very good finishing.
Europe is gone for now and if we tackle every domestic game with the same attitude and professionalism, it will more than compensate for our CL disappointment.
I have been critical of certain players (2 never played today) and the way the team were playing but that was more like it at a difficult venue with a notorious referee who pointed to the ball every time a Celtic man was fouled (the wee rat) - soft penalty though.
Not even going to mention Stokes not scoring oooops!

I posted a week ago our strikers were having a lull but Celtic goals can come from anywhere. We won that game but no goals from strikers. Today 7-0 but again no goals from strikers curiously.

I see Steven Gerrard put in another world class display today to drag his team down to a 3-1 defeat to Hull Tigers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When the 2nd half of the Liverpool game was on, Celtic were running riot at Tynecastle so never seen it.

I'm sure the spoof is amusing but not as funny as gubbing Hearts 7-0 :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

On the ball with your reply mrs E, like it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I did see the first half Monkeybhoy but obviously not the 2nd.

Just glad Neil Lennon got a reaction from the players today! Some of our passing and movement was superb

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah played well. Half to laugh guys in pub "why didn't they play like that against AC" slightly different class of opposition.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2013 16:18:26
Their record stuffing is 7-0 by Hibs. We have to beat it!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well looks like Hearts have gone back to where they were first Jan 1973, over 40 years ago. But they've gone totally bust (admin is going bust, broke, oweing about £50m). They're reaping their punishment for their unethical profligacy. Lucky to be playing at all, I don't understand how their achievements can still stand when they didn't pay the bill for the previous success. It's just plainly wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Not you again ffs! How hard is it to understand the difference between administration and liquidation? The only ones who don't understand it, or won't admit they do, are The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub fans so are you one of them by any chance?
Maybe you should talk about actual football, you must know at least some stuff about that, 11 men in a team, kick a ball to try and score a goal....is that ringing any bells?}

Obviously if he is a Sevco fan, he'll only understand it as 11 vs 10.

{Ed007's Note - Touche.}

Ed007 good morning,

I don't know what triggered it, but what a
nightmare last night, this is a summary of
It .
(1) Hearts and Rangers SC final
(2) Lenny walked and Craig Levien took over
(3) We got point deduction, finishing 3rd no europe
(4) and the wife left me for wee Pat fae posso
The real dissapointment was I came downstairs
and there she was in all her splendour, putting
Her teeth in, telling me to give the toilet a miss
Ahhh. She's a wonderful wummin really .

Haha, I'm so happy, I hope whoever gets Rangers
puts them out, I don't Want to ever have to let them in
Parkhead ever, really liked the look of Biton, we'll
probably get Aberdeen or Dundee Utd away at some
Stage and Rangers will probably get the next two ties
at Ibrox . cheers.

Totally agree though the boy looks really comfortable on the ball just hoping what I've been hearing about the young icelandic boy is correct and we may have our striker problem solved was thinking one of they 2 myself or ict think its a certainty itll be another away game as per usual would be good if we could get someone different maybe a wee trip to albion rovers or someone like that instead of the usual places

See that sevco played 10 men again.i would love to know the stats.i remember a season when barry ferguson was there, every week they got a pen and a man sent off against them.he had about 16 goals by xmas.i would love to kno in the last 10 years how many men have been sent off against them, and how many penalties they have had, then the average that the other teams got.i would reckon these stats could look truly embarassing for the sfa.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wrote to the SFA and spl about five years ago requesting penalty statistics. They both stated they didn't record them. The SFA stated their refs didn't report penalties in their match reports. Just goals and cards awarded. Old RFC were getting penalties at the time in a close run in season.

Agree0 Disagree0

This was a topic last night between myself and some newco friends so I checked on it today.

during last season 55% of league games for sevco red cards and penalties awarded against opposition teams however this was when games were level or they were trailing unlike this season when they are winning they have had 1 penalty and 2 red cards before yesterday game so do the sums

Agree0 Disagree0

That season we went to Seville and in the first 10 games oldco had nine red cards and 8 penalties it was unbelievable that year they won a treble

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 it is when you get penalties that matter do not think collum would have given that today had it been 0-0

Agree0 Disagree0

A minutes silence at the game today, I sincerely hope it is observed impeccably by both sets of supporters, saying this more in hope than expectation given the opposition

@ badbhoy .
Hopefully the drunks and the halfwits
can keep quiet for a minute, nine times
Out of ten, its the fans saying shuush that
makes it sound worse . NL needs this one
More than ever with what's gone on last week
it's only a game afterall . 3-2 the tic

Condolences to all affected by the tragic
accident on Friday .

Well u got the five goals right by half time!

Don't know if any of you read Barry Ferguson's column in the Daily Record, but he made an interesting point about the rest of this season in Scottish football. He said with Celtic out of Europe, we now have nothing really exciting to look forward to as a Nation. It's a valid point, there is nothing left to shout about this season and we are only in November. He said he thinks the only thing that would now bring something to the Scottish game in 2013/14 would be Celtic and Rangers drawing each other in the Scottish Cup.

What are people's thoughts on here about that? Something you want to see? Ed007?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed007's Note - I've really no interest in anything Barry Ferguson has to say. I grew up with him and he is an ar$ehole, plain and simple. He always has been and always will be.
It would be a financially fantastic game for The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub getting a chance to play against Scotland's most successful current club at our fantastic stadium for the first time and the TV money etc could really help them out the way things are looking.
The visiting players would feel as if they were in the CL running out at Celtic Park. I like seeing things like that, when wee diddy teams get drawn against big teams and the players just enjoy the experience of it all knowing they have no realistic chance of winning.
It would just be a draw against another lower league team for CFC, I don't see why it would be treated any different to us drawing Hamilton or Dundee, even Morton. I don't see the big deal myself, I'd rather it was Hamilton Accies at Celtic Park to see the Accies getting the money.}

Lol! Cheers for the reply Ed007.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're welcome.}

Yet another big push to convince everyone that 'the game' needs sevco. I do wish they would just enjoy their journey and leave us out of this nonsense. And would some one please explain to barry, not the sharpest tool in the shed, what liquidation means.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He used to struggle to write his own name and I swear he thought he won a game of 21 (pontoon) with an ace and an 9, up and shouting about it the lot. I seen that with my own eyes....now he has his own 'column'. The mind boggles at times...

01 Dec 2013 07:13:57
whos barry ferguson

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would any celtic fan care what Barry ferguson writes.
He's basically just undermining any trophies he won with the old rangers, if come the end of the season winning the league and Scottish cup means nothing.
In fact just shows what an bawb*g he really is when there's not even been a cup final played yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ MonkeyBhoy

Given the amount of talk about Rangers on here constantly and the amount of CFC fans who comment on his colums on the Daily Record website I find that a very ironic question you have asked there.

Good point about discrediting the trophies won, in some ways I agree with you. However I do think it is a good point he makes too in some ways. With the lack of competition in two of our four leagues, it is valid to some extent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree 100% re BF ed, I can't even bring myself to type his name, a waste of oxygen, a despicable poisonous hate filled excuse of a human being.BF can't think for himself never mind write an article for a newspaper

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 did you live near Barry & his family I take it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No. My parents took turn about dropping me off at random places in Hamilton instead of sending me to school.}

Never read barrys latest "see me" column perhaps I should the guys got vision.
as he says in a previous column WTF does paul le quen know?when he tried to introduce a healthier diet and have the players in earlier to do double stints.
barrys view! that everybody knew no even to try and talk to him before 11 oclock cause he wisnae a morning person, and ask anybody that knows me but A always eat 4 packets of pickled onion monster munch for ma brekkie and its no done me any herm so far.
apart from pickle his brain.FUD

Bennybhoy

A didn't know he had a column in record av never seen any1 mention it on here till today. You've asked a question and u seem an awrite 1 of them so it's polite to answer.

ED007 I have had the displeasure of meeting both Barry and Ian Ferguson on several occasions, both are from the same cloth, very poor material.
Both men are arrogant and egotistical words they could not understand never mind spell.
Anyway, what about wee Albion Rovers at Celtic Park in next round to give them the money. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That would probably be a tougher game for us Tim than playing Scotland's newest club, there is always the chance Sevco players would be star-struck playing against us at our stadium.}

Read it till he got to the bit, they are the same team.don't like people who don't tell the truth.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Ed007 nice one, was a bit of a daft question I suppose I deserved that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed Barry stayed in Bellshill an went to brannock high school as I was year below him so why mention Hamilton he played football there with mill utd that is all

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I know the Ferguson family and Barry's wife's family very well, I grew up in the same scheme as Margaret. I really don't need to explain anything to you so maybe Barry's own story will clear up your confusion, they only stayed in Bellshill for a short time before returning to Hamilton... oh and I am also extremely friendly with JP McBride and his extended family:

http://goo.gl/Z72Dtl

01 Dec 2013 22:03:28
@ (13 ) Ed's correct once again, he stayed in Little Earnock, believe me he is and was a bigot as are his hanger on freinds, toodles

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I wasn't sure if it was Hillhouse or Little Earnock, they left one and moved back to the other.}

@13 Ed you did not tell everyone his father inlaw is a mad Celtic supporter
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I thought everyone knew that about Margaret and her entire family. I used to get the supporters bus his father-in-law ran from Docherty's before we outgrew (banned from) it and started our own. Barry and Margaret's oldest child went to an RC school as well (which seemed to upset a lot of pathetic Rangers fans, even in our own area), but that is going into people's personal family business so I'll end it there. It just gets on my wick when you need to explain something to some wee anonymous smart-ar$e that anonymously tries to make out that I don't know what I am talking about. I can't wait for the site to go registered users only, it will be a Godsend and something I have argued with the other Eds over for a few years now. It has really improved the quality of the sites that it has been implemented on, we started with the sites that were getting the most garbage posted into it and it has mostly put a stop to all the virgins that get their kicks by trolling.
People might not agree with my opinion but 99% of the time I can provide facts and figures to back it up, although it is still only my opinion, and the 1% I am wrong I will hold my hands up and apologise.}

@ (15 ) Tambhoy, he and his biggoted pals thought
They were the beesboz running about hamilton,
Don't believe the tosh about him staying in, he
Loved the Main man act, he got away with murder

Ths.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Just for clarification and to save any confusion that wasn't the murder that took place inside Ibrox in 1999 that was covered up. Ths is speaking hypothetically about Ferguson's behaviour in and around Hamilton.}

02 Dec 2013 01:05:02
@ 16 again your corrct Ed
I meant as a spoilt brat gets away
with things not actually the act of
murder itself . I take it your talking
of a chap falling down the marble staircase
anyway i'm off to sleep now, sleep-timer on
tv, reading a book and the gentle sounds of
the waves lapping the shores, feelin drowsy yit
lol g/night and god bless . Ths.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Night mate, sleep well.}
