So apparently after yesterday's game "the gap has closed" as "Rangers matched Celtic and were unlucky to lose" Last year they were getting beaten by 5 goals but this season only ONE goal margins.
Where do I start? First, to the game itself, we were all over them first half then a combination of complacency by us, fatigue from our international players and half fit players caused the "evening up" am I worried the "gap has closed" NO
I am actually looking forward to NEXT season, as surely we cannot be as unlucky with injuries to so many players as this season, I also think the Rodgers situation has affected the team more than we think. Bring in some new players, give our existing players as much rest as possible and I would even tell our players to tell McLeish where to go with his two games in June during our close season, our players need the rest.
Regroup and start afresh next season hail hail.

There are similarities to when they won 9.
They think they are better than they actually are.
But going back to when it was us, we believed we could beat any club on our day, which we could, but like them we were good one week and imposters the next.
In our favour as long as the lying king is there we have nothing to worry about because he is not a Fergus thank god. Unless they have a sugar daddy we are going to make history. Which is sugar sweet for the fans like myself who put up with loadsamoney and the rest. I love Timalloys posts because during their 9 in a row my dad lost thousands to betting against their glory years because he would back his team to the hilt. As they say love is blind. God bless Celtic and GBNL.

I thought yesterday was the first time since roughly mid December we had the makings of a quality midfield playing and until NtCham understandably faded, our midfield 3 were quite outstanding . To me it was no surprise that Eddy was so outstanding as our midfield dominance meant we could play the ball up short to him and he really took off on several strong runs . Our two goals were both superb and remember McGregor had been switched to left back and he intercepted and gave Eddy a brilliant pass in the one move . I was disappointed as I thought we could smash them, but then I remember in the1990's if we got beaten by them 2-1 we would nearly have celebrated . Our team are spoiling us.

Just got back to England today after yesterday's game and just watched it again Brownie wound them up whole game and they all took the bait now he is the guilty one in the press and slippy is blaming him yet his lot were out of control and when they beat us in December they reacted like they had won the league l think it was airfield who did a Broonie but yet again our magnificent captain did not react but just remembered that the league is not won in December well done Broonie and send Halliday a photo when you lift the league trophy.

Great post Paul.
Broony took pelters for months, it was time to put the Broony imposter in his place.
Scotty bhoy had 3 months to plan revenge.
Our captain picked on the 3 weakest characters in their squad.
It will be known for years as the BROONY3.

Positive words from Oli Burke about wanting to make his move permanent. Hopefully we will see a bit more of home between now and the end of the season. Not sure why Lennon put Rogic on before Burke at the weekend? Strange one if you ask me.

Not so long ago it was Lenton who was the target of their venom, now Brown. The media are anti Celtic and have run this campaign of denigrating anything that happens with the Champions. Pathetic pandering to the Knuckledraggers to sell their papers.
In Brown and Lenton, indeed many before have put Celtic first. I for one salute them for the job they are doing for our Club.

01 Apr 2019 21:32:04
His hold up play for the second was outstanding. I said previously that he hasn’t done enough to justify the £9M price tag and I still think he hasn’t but he shows signs that he could develop into a player who’s worth a lot more than that. Would love to be able to keep him but I imagine he’ll move on at some point and we just need to hope we get a decent fee when he does. When all is said and done, he’s not as good as Griff.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2019 00:47:05
If have said for months he is an outstanding footballer, just feed him the right ball and let hI'm run at defence, he showed yesterday he can fire home a shot and he can pass.

He is and will be head and shoulders above Griff, that is reflected in the money we paid for him compared to the likes of LG. Problem is we will not be able to keep him after the 10IAR. But like any walk of life, nothing is forever. Hail, Hail.

I see our captain Scott Brown has been following my advice on dealing with seething sevconians, fekin LAUGH AT THEM.
THAT more than anything else is upsetting them. "Unsporting" "Gloating" is all we have heard, it seems our sevconian brothers can gloat and snigger at others, ala last Ibrox game or up at Pittodrie, but nobody is allowed to laugh and gloat at them, that is unfair boo hoo.

So during the last game at the asbestos dome

sevco supporters had a good go at Broony throughout the game. (not to mention the numerous tackles on Celtic players)
Broony kicked in the nuts.

Sevco players surround Broony shouting and taunting with Garfield in particular screaming into his face.

Now here at Parkhead.

Morelos had a nip at him, Brown gives him some back and the animal elbows him in the coupon. Rightly is given a straight red card

Kent wants the ball back. Brown drops it smiles, (so many examples of that in football) . Kent punches him on the chin. Referee and assistants do not see it

Brown celebrating in front of his own fans as well as theirs. Halliday mouths off and tries to rip strip off Brown and Bain.

Apparently, it is ALL Broony's fault these things happened

Might even chuck the blame on him for Brexit failures, knifings in London. Jack the Ripper Killings as well.

Why did Madden blow whistle at Brown Kent incident if he never seen it? Camera angle shows that he did. And if Ajer plays like that consistently we have a real player- as good as VVD at same age?

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Apr 2019 16:30:58
If Scott Brown has done that to Kent do you think the bbc would of reported it as a shove? It’s a joke. Ajer is progressing amazingly and can become a world class player if he continues. Build the defence around him and Tierney for years to come.

I am sitting here today basking in the glory of yesterday and am considering the following.
Is Scott Brown one of the greatest players ever to wear green and white.
It is a shame we have not achieved more in europe and I hope the next manager can take us forward in that department.
I would love to see SB in a european Semi or final. Then we could truely say he was of the greatness.
In past midfields he would be fighting amongst the best for his place
Behind Murdoch and Auld or with Hay and Dalglish or Macstay and Collins now that would be a midfield 3.

01 Apr 2019 15:28:18
I love him and he is the best of his generation by far. A great in terms of domestic dominance and a brilliant captain no doubt and he punches above his weight thro determination and will to win. When he steps up a class (Europe) he has struggled a bit, possibly due to lack of support tho - and bad tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2019 01:03:04
European football is tainted, it's no longer a true test of a club's ability to build itself into a European Super power . Money mostly foreign money very often laundered money is used to grow an elite group of super clubs . These clubs have no financial restraints to prevent them buying star players from anywhere in the world .
Financial Fair Play give lip service to those who have not only broken the rules but smashed them into smithereens .
I certainly don't spend any sheepish nights over our moderate success in Europe in recent years, we are just about the standard we can expect, qualifying for Champions League about 50% of the time and getting to last 16 once every 10 yrs . Unless we can come up with some big money makinng deal, for example £100m TV deal, by playing diff league, we are where we are . No manager will really change that.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2019 02:02:02
That is exactly, word for word, how I would describe European football as well, OMC. The people responsible for this sham should be ashamed of themselves.

Evening Times headline:
"steven-gerrard-i-feel-for-andy-halliday-i-probably-wouldve-gone-for-scott-brown-myself"

Surely he must be cited if this comment is correct, IMHO it shows a real lack of class from a manager, his teams disciplinary record is terrible and he is now condoning and encouraging his players to attack opponents.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Hail Hail King Broony.
What a majestic leadership performance from him yesterday. Who else could get 2 Sevvies sent off (and probably a third retrospectively - Kent) .
If Broony had been born in the changing rooms at Paradise and was the son of Mr. Seamus O'Celtic and his wife Roisin O'Celtic he couldn't be more committed to our club than he already is.
Outstanding.
Brilliant and definitely Captain Fantastic.

Can't believe some of the negativity towards Lennon. Did anyone else see the draws against Murtys mighty rangers at home!? Or was that ok because it was Rodgers.
We've played crap most of the season, not just because Lennon took over. Rogic looked so off the pace yesterday so not sure why he was put on, but i'd honestly prefer to play our players rather than developing other teams. Come the summer when some deadwood and loan players have left. We can make some quality additions and give our youth a chance to step up. I personally think Lennon would be more than capable.

We dominated for 65 mins and had ntcham and Sinclair scored we'd have been comfortable it's not lennys fault they missed gilt edged chances or who was to know boyata is going to get injured cut the guy a bit of slack.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Apr 2019 13:00:29
He took a lot of risks with KT, (that backfired) Ntcham who hasn't played this year and the same with Rogic and we nearly blew it.
In three of his five games we have had to win with late goals, with our only win by two clear goals against Hibs in the Cup.
The team have been struggling to find their best form since the upheaval and maybe things will settle down now with such a lead and players boosting their confidence and fitness? We will see.
There was only one real candidate after the BR turmoil and the players have shown fantastic mental strength, while struggling for fitness and form, but have responded well to the challenge.
However, as much as I appreciate NL and all that he has done for Celtic over the years and hope there's a role somewhere for him;
I think if we want to progress, we need to look forward instead of back and that goes for Clarke as well.
However, I have a feeling the Board will have no choice if he delivers the 3 x 3 trophies.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Apr 2019 16:28:28
The teams form has nothing to do with Rodgers leaving, the form under Rodgers this season has been bad. We scraped past hearts with Neil Lennon in charge, they beat us 1-0 at tynecastle with Rodgers in charge. We beat Hibs in the cup 2-0 with lennon we got beat 2-0 by them with Rodgers. People say we hit form after the winter break but we were under performing prior to that. Since the turn of they year Rodgers team beat Airdrie, st mirren, st Johnstone, Hamilton, Hibs and Motherwell all at paradise. Kilmarnock and st Johnstone away from home. I can’t imagine much of us expected anything but wins in those games. I appreciate some people don’t want Neil Lennon and he wouldn’t be my first choice but considering the form our team have been in I don’t think we can criticise Lennon for his matches. Ed007 have you heard anything else on the manager front? Please rule out David Moyes for me.

Do you think we've been good this season DRB? i think we have been total pish, its only because everyone else is so pish that were so far ahead! And just because Lennon has come in and won all but 1 of his games in charge including at easter road which 'the messiah' couldn't do, i won't stick the knife in.

Yesterday, after Morelos took the bait and was rightly sent off, Celtic fans got a real insight into why Lennon should be nowhere near Celtic park next season. Absolutely horrific game management and, as we seen from his first stint in charge, an inexplicable drop in tempo and urgency almost turned a commanding position i.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

01 Apr 2019 14:53:03

Was at the game today so didn't get a good look at the incident near the end of the game. Celtic player had burst clear with only 1 rangers player to beat.

From where I was sitting it looked like rangers player took him clean out and ref was close to incident but didn't do anything.

So was wondering if it was a foul and rangers player should have walked?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was another one of that rat Madhun's honest mistakes and was a definite foul and another red card. Add that to the Kent incident and you can see why the Lanarkshire Mafia are always so keen to appoint him, Collum or cheatin Beaton for these games.
A shining example of the hurdles and obstacles, we have had to overcome to make our total domination and success all the sweeter.
