No wonder we are paranoid when we see comments like those by Mcleish and others in the media. Trying to sell our best players and change the rules to handicap us.
Other countries would celebrate having a club playing such skillful and beautiful football. They would be questioning the coaching and commitment of the other clubs for not producing similar skills and style. There have been 7 scots playing in most of our games this year so you can work with players and make them better.

Look at the Scotland game against Canada with no Celtic players in it to the next game they returned says it all really.

The full establishment and media are hurting badly as Celtic will dominate for decades!

So Big Eck says Celtics dominance is embarrassing for Scottish football. Away and do one squint nose your face has more bends than a race track .

Tell you what will really be embarrasing? Big Eck having to sell everything he owns to pay his tax bill and still not having enough!

If Scotland ever won the World cup, they would probably say that it counted for nothing if none of their players were in the team.
Their bitterness is almost comical.

Was it embarrassing for English football when arsenal had their invincibles?

Well last night was just a masterclass. Forget who we were playing, and by the way the Jags have toughed it out against us as well as any team, that was just lovely to watch. From Gordon to up top the passing and movement was, at times, unplayable.

Fantastic goals, Paddy's shell into the top corner was best for me, crisp passing and a seamless switch given the players rested was fantastic. Couple of things though.

Griff? What was he thinking? I get any striker wanting to stay on, and he probably thought he might hit three, but this is Celtic. I would suggest this is the biggest club he will ever play for, he is loved by the fans and his manager rates him. Buckle down and sack up this is not about one player.

Finally, the Green Brigade. These Bhoys are something else. Last nights display on the Lisbon theme was astonishing. We know our history. Black mark? The ridiculous singing of some Reb songs. We don't need it. There cannot be a club anywhere with an amount of club songs more than us.

I can exclusively reveal that Patrick Roberts was called into the Celtic manager's office today and given a right royal dressing down.
Here is an excert from the conversation.
Brendan Rogers "feck sake Paddy, we are trying to negotiate a fee with City and YOU are upping your value every time you score, pack it in until contract is signed".

Not only that-Paddy obviously got LG in on the act by throwing a wobbler tae up his feckn price! ☘️.

Looks like £6.8million was put in front of the City bosses within the last fortnight with a large sell-on-clause down the line for a permanent move for Roberts 🙏.

Surely that couldn't have been our first offer. I would expect that perhaps that equates to City's total outlay? Good to hear we're in for him permanently though.

JimTim I don't think City are the type of club to entertain daft bids tbh. The amount of money they splash, they won't be keen on humming and hawing over a million quid or so. Give them something serious and see what they say.

What a signing Paddy Roberts would be. Paddy is class on and off the park, how refreshing it is to hear someone say his time in Scotland has improved him as a player and person. If a deal can't be done and he is to leave he will have a place in the hearts of all Celtic fans and I'm sure we will all follow his career with great interest. Sing his name loud and proud against Hearts and Aberdeen Bhoys he deserves a good send off no matter what the future holds for him. I hope it's in the Green and White.

Great shout Stan
If he stays magic
If he goes let's give the boy the best possible send off - he will remember his time here forever.

What a player. remember we all used to say:
If only we had Lubo as a youngster.

Been saying it since we signed Paddy, absolute gem of a player, wand for a left foot n he always faces defenders up with his first thought how am i going to skin him or them. Fantastic player in the mould of lubo and naka n one we need to get signed permanent, his value will only soar n he would be worth way more after winning trophy after trophy n playing champions league football regularly.
Paddy, new goalkeeper n one more n I'd be well chuffed, with a couple no longer in the plans on the way out.
Here we go 10 in a row.

what a great performance last night from the bhoys, just wish LG could controll himself and understand that it wasnt worth the risk of any knock on him, i also wish after the game was more or less won at 3-0 eboue kouassi could`ve got a run out, but BR has`nt dissapointed me yet in any decisions he`s made well maybe de vries.

I agree re Kouassi. If he was bought with CL in mind as was stated then its not looking likely. When we are coasting at 3-0 and we know what Bitton can bring to the table why not throw him in. £3.8m is a lot of cash for us to spend on "potential". Still the bargains of MD and SS more than make up for it, but hopefully will come good.

Guys a wee head's up, the ET has a nice magazine pull out of the Lisbon Lions in today's paper.
I have bought some to return the compliment to the suit and my other ex bear pals, on what a REAL, tribute looks like.

I wonder if this current team will get the credit it deserves if it manages to complete the season unbeaten.
I get sick and tired of hearing the line (especially from England) that it's a poor league, and that there is no competition, in my opinion it's a tremendous achievement no matter what league you are in.
I've nothing against Tottenham, but they have won nothing, flopped badly in Europe, and generally came up short against the bigger teams, yet they are lauded as if they are one of the greatest teams in history.
I've heard that if Celtic do manage to achieve the feat that it will be the first time it's been done since 1899, I think the team deserve a bit more credit than the lukewarm reaction we are getting on both sides of the border.

In my honest opinion I would rather the currants, sheep and tarts had better squads this season past it's been too easy with no competition. I'll put them in same boat as MONs team when we overcome a season filled with challenges and competitiveness, after all we weren't all that in the CL apart from our ties against city. HH.

Gerryc : bang on the money mate, south of the boarder. ( down Mexico way ) it's a song : they give our league very little respect and even less air time, let's not forget it's all about the, brilliant magical, mesmerising EPL . The best part of 10-12 teams are not even near our standard and the bottom team gets . £45m per year for the next 3 years for getting pumped out.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 May 2017 13:57:20
I don't think that it matters how strong the opposition is, to go through a whole season unbeaten domestically is some achievement.
There is no point comparing different sides, MON's team never reached the last 16 of the Champions league whereas Gordon Strachan's and Neil Lennon's teams did, and they never spent the type of money that MON had to spend.
I'm in no way criticising MON, he was a brilliant manager for us, I'm just saying that you could pick faults with any team.
This current team is a good team, we as supporters should enjoy it, I personally will never tire of seeing my team winning well and entertaining us.

You can only admire Brendan Rodgers and how he dealt with the Leigh Griffiths outburst that many would love to turn into a drama.
The guy is a class act in every way. HH.
