Only one man for me bhoys and girls. Even with a major squad overhaul and not knowing who will be in our first team next season, I'd put my hard earned dosh on Steve Clarke winning us the league next year. Guy from salzburg, guy from man City, even Rafa, I would have reservations on winning league first time. We all know what Clarke has done and at killie and with Scotland got them to places that we didn't think possible. He's also been coach and no2 to some of the best in the game. I'm sick of being powder puff in defence. SC is the man.

His record is pretty good I have to admit. But his style of football do we want to be seeing that at parkhead every other week.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 21:44:55
The style of football is a myth. If you manage killie, you play a way that gets you 3rd in league and into Europe. If you manage Scotland you play a way that gets you to a major finals. If you manage the top team with biggest budget and the killie/ Scotland style gets you European football in March. would anyone really care? I'm sure in his time at Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle he learned to be somewhat offensive.

Might be in the minority but i don't want Clarke anywhere near our managers job.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 22:59:19
Clarke is nowhere near the level we require. As well going for Tommy Wright as we are for clarke.

19 Mar 2021 23:01:33
I'd rather lose next season and build something special.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Mar 2021 00:53:57
If we're winning and not conceding goals. Yes. I'd rather see a winning team than a team playing with flare and losing a goal at every set piece we concede.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2021 08:51:58
There's only one style it's called winning. but sc would have the euros and I think the board have someone else in mind.

BUZZ how long has the Guard of honour been done. And should it be scrapped.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2021 23:15:30
Rangers actually gave Celtic a guard of honour at Ibrox, before a Scottish Cup tie in 1964.Rangers went on to win the game 2-0.
A few days earlier Celtic qualified for the Cup Winners Cup Semi Final by winning in Bratislava 1-0 to go through 2-0 on Aggregate.
Celtic won the Semi Final first leg 3-0 against MTK Budapest but we lost the return leg 4-0 and we failed to reach our first European Final.
Celtic weren’t a threat to Rangers in 1964 because we hadn’t won a trophy in 7 years, since our historic 7-1 League Cup Final win against Rangers in 1957.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Mar 2021 01:00:22
The bellends who keep pushing the guard of honour nonsense need reminding of the C.V. guidence. Players and officials should properly social distance when entering and exiting the pitch. Now unless the players and officials spread half way across London Rd we are going to be in breach of guidence but that's allowed in Scotland. I'm sure Glasgow's finest and the officials will have a wee clap and we might get a tweet from the First Minister reminding everyone to social distance after the guard of Honour. we can't sit in our seats hug our family and friends but these muppets really want us to join in on the fairy tail well done Big Kennedy putting it to bed now show us some fight 💪
HH onwards and upwards.

It's a manufactured lot of pi$h.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2021 18:58:10
Lethepeoplesing quite a few Celtic fans think giving a Guard of Honor is the right thing to do. It’s disrespectful referring to those fellow fans as a Bellen*s and muppets. A lot of fans believe by not doing it we’re just following their parochial and pathetic approach.

Absolutely.

19 Mar 2021 19:17:21
That’s positive news Mally.
Taylor has only ever played 7 minutes for Celtic against Sevco.
He came on with 7 minutes to go in the C. V game in October.

This new manager new dof new this new that is in danger of being a massive let down its building up the more names linked with the job the more fed up i get i have made my prediction which i do hope and as every week goes by i feel more confident it will come true Harkin DOF and Maresca head coach.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2021 17:19:03
If Jesse marsch has apparently ruled him self out then how close or far away must we be from naming a head coach.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2021 17:31:05
Jungle John, I'd say that the individual (s) and I hope it's two (D. O. F. and Manager) are still in their roles with their current team (s) and will be announced closer to the end of the season.

Who would take Moyes for new manager?
personally i think he will be the man.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2021 16:54:03
Realistically would he come now? Stock will be high after a successful season with West Ham. I'd imagine he will stay with them or get another EPL job.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 16:57:47
Rob
There was speculation in 2019 that Moyes was getting the job when he watched a few of our games and I must admit, I didn’t want Moyes.
But now I think if Moyes had become our manager in 2019,then Celtic would be in a far better place than our current situation.
I’ve watched West Ham a few times this season and his player’s always give 100%.
Something the Celtic players have lacked this season.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 17:22:12
I would take Moyes and think he would be successful at Celtic. However, if we want to develop youth and go with DOF, I do not think he would be the best candidate.

That being said I don't think he is a feasible target as I cannot see him leaving West Ham.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 17:33:18
West Ham are apparently going to offer Moyes a new deal and their higher up that table than anyone would have expected. Can't see it happening.

19 Mar 2021 17:49:37
Is there any manager of note who hasn't been touted or linked? I doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 17:55:41
Wee Moira McAdam whose the manager in Home Bargains in Airdrie hasn’t been linked with the job yet.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 18:12:13
Moyes has a clause for him to automatically renew his contract. At this moment in time he has not activated it. As long as that remains i think we have a chance of getting him. I do understand how high is stock is at the moment but IF DD comes a knocking then money talks.
I can live in hope.

Mate sent me a message showing a screenshot that Sly sent a push notification to phones cause we won't give them a guard of honour? Is that some sick joke or something? Kennedy bang on in saying no such fuss was made a few years ago when it was them that refused! HH.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2021 16:19:37
Why are sly all over this. This is not disrespectful in my opinion. A lot of our players have been together for a long time when they refused to do it for us . And pundits expect us to ask these same players do do a Guard of Honour for them.
Well down Kennedy the board and the players. No put them back in their box on Sunday.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 17:25:14
It is an absolute non-issue.

The fact that it is being made into a big deal just shows how much it has hurt them seeing their club die, then watching its reincarnation suffer at our hands for so long.

COYBIG.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 15:06:36
Kennedy, CELTIC WILL NOT GIVE RANGERS A GUARD OF HONOUR. Interesting what sky will say on Sunday about this due to the fact we never got one . Best news from CELTIC all season.

I don’t know much about the managers who have been linked with the job but from his CV he's an excellent fit for Celtic and would be my first choice.

No idea how realistic that is though.

Trpisovsky has now given a tactical lesson to BR and Slippy G.

I don't know anything about his team in Prague but I've read words to describe them like; disciplined, organised, energetic.

Oh what that must be like and I bet their wage bill is a fraction of ours.

We do worse than bring someone like this guy in?

Believable5 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2021 10:23:44
My fear with out board of zero ambition is they are dragging it out so much thst we get so uptight their choice will be accepted was a relief we gave someone. That's a dangerous game as we know their lack of ambition and disastrous leadership has seen a deed club in debt overtake us. They will never be forgiven for that, or should be. They need to get off their feckin knees, stand up and rake the fight to they cants. They owe us that. They owe us more than that.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 10:34:08
You're right Magicpole.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 12:13:28
It's going to take a very decent candidate to not only recover and rebuild from this season, but to re-establish the dominance quickly. I remember MON taking over in 2001 and we had just finished second, 21 points behind and the rest is history.
I'm not saying Sevco are anywhere near that team, but even allowing for their good fortune, our poor decisions, bad luck and problems, they have found a winning consistency and have the upper hand in head-to-head games recently. We need an inspired appointment IMO.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 17:35:59
I think that we have got the new manager and DoF already sorted but have to wait on their contracts running out I hope so anyway I would be pissed off if we haven't got them sorted by now.

19 Mar 2021 07:58:34
Allegedly a Slavia Prague Player was attacked going down the tunnel after last nights game at ipox, Sevco saying one of there players was racially abused during the game, There is no need for any player to racially abuse another player, but unfortunately Sevco have made comments like this on a few occasions when they have lost a game.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 10:37:12
I've never understood the whole racial abuse to the opposition when your own team has black players too. It just all seems like deflection tactics to me so the focus isn't on them being outplayed and the disgusting kick in the face by Roofe. They can't take losing and are acting like entitled brats.

Agree4 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 12:46:30
Rangers bringing the Racist card after losing the game. Nothing about how they were trashed last night. If true then there should be bans for Prague players but I just don't believe it. They can't accept defeat and bad attitude comes from the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2021 13:19:19
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but Glen Kamara has lost important games before without accusing opposition players of racial abuse. The guy clearly shouts something in his ear while covering his mouth so I'm inclined to believe there was something sinister in it. There's no way of proving exactly what was said but I'd be interested to see if you were as sceltical were it one of our own players Bravetart.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Mar 2021 22:55:05
Slavia manager as dark horse for us? Since 2017 he has won 2 national cups 2 leagues and are leading the league this season . they are a well organised good footballing side
. his cv reads a lot better than most of the names being touted.

After tonight’s results
Scotland have finished ahead of Ukraine in the Association club Co-efficient points table.
It means the winner of the Scottish Premiership next season will go straight into the CL group stages in the 2022/ 23 season.
Hopefully it will force Celtic to get the finger out in our rebuilding process for next season, with a guaranteed £30 million to play for.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fully agree buzz. I don't expect Celtic to go crazy but at the same time l don't want to see a load of 300 k players and a few 2m. The prize is too big and they know if the finish first what the rewards are. There is no excuse now.
