I've got to say that this YNWA being played by us from Paradise is a bit cringe. I know this won't go down well but there's a time to be quiet and this is one such time. What are we trying to achieve? It's all a bit look at us for my liking. Are we putting money into a fund or what? What's the point?

I find it strange as, in my opinion, it will cause people to gather at Celtic Park to join in.
Admirable but not quite the intention.

Have to laugh at Hearts, threatening legal action if they get relegated. looks as though that option could be null and void if they get docked points for yet more financial trouble at TynecastlešŸ˜’.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cant see anyone being docked points due to financial difficulties brought on by this situation.

What hearts would need to consider is that it is against UEFAs rules to sue your association or uefa UEFA itself. Check out how they hammered sion after they involved outside courts.

TBF Kev the season has only been suspended a week this tells me that there has been financial mismanagement at Hearts for while and it's not as though it's the first time either!

Just heard the English season will be suspended until April 30 and extended indefinitely to play to a finish, so I expect we will be the same? Hopefully we will have a fully-fit squad raring too go and we use the array of Sevco bleating and sniping to motivate a quick conclusion and double celebration of our dominance and the end of their 8 year lifespan.

3 wins and that's it shut the sevco luvvies up.

I really hope our governing body do follow. Null and void would be criminally insane. Finalising the leagues as it stands wouldn't sit right with me. We just finish it as and And organise next season as things develop.

19 Mar 2020 17:33:32
I agree. We should just wait until games can be played again and finish the league. If that means next season doesnā€™t start until September or October then so be it.

Surely in this day and age some scientist or research facility can produce some sort of self testing product to let you know if you have Covid19 or have had it. Screen all players and backroom staff, officials crews, cameramen for live games from both teams then play behind close doors.

Can't see the situation changing much by April 30, maybe June 30.

UEFA have helped; by postponing the Euros. Working back from that event, we have to play at least the games before the split. If by the 3rd game and we are out of sight and Hearts are rubbish, which they are and relegated, Dundee Utd are champs and thistle go down. SPFL declare a knockout and halt the season then.
Last few weeks of the Season are now free, SFA finish the Cup, they badly need the dosh. we win, they moan, go bust (again) . we make it 10IAR. More European fixtures. out sight and get stronger.

Report saying rogic and arzani back in oz to self isolate how did that happen thought flights were cancelled.

OZ national team interfere far too much when it comes to players that play with them. They are owned by the club, not Australia. Don't see OZ paying their wages.

They've been self isolating for 2 years anyway.

thats why we need to win the league legitimately in order to shut him and the rest of the orcs up.9iar.

He should be more worried about Rangers ability to stay afloat. Wages and Loans need paying and they have no income from games or merchandise. They stated 10 million was required to get them to the end of the season but it will be a lot more now. Retail court cases and memorial wall case all going thru the courts.

Celtic are cash rich whilst they still remain in financial problem. A lot of clubs have had to live by their means who won't implode due to financial mismanagement. The deluded will watch it all crash and burn then blame others for their boards failings.

The Sevconians need to play before a crowd at home, otherwise they would have to repay all their season ticket fans for the 4 or 5 games they couldn't watch.

I notice that on the various Celtic websites I visit, the "Splash the Cash" and "Get the Chequebook out" brigades have gone quiet.
Maybe big PL and our financial plan is not so bad after all.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2020 09:19:48
Why would the splash the cash or get the chequebook out brigade be even mentioning stuff like that when 1 the transfer window isnā€™t even opened! And 2 weā€™re not even playing football and are in the middle of a global pandemic! Really strange comment to be honest. has absolutely no relevance to anything thatā€™s happening right now!

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Mar 2020 10:08:23
I think the transfer window may be the last thing on peoples minds right now; although the club will have an idea of what's required.
We may also be negotiating new contracts, extensions and other potential business during this emergency suspension of the season for all I know?

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2020 10:21:20
Maybe he was meaning that the ones that always complain abut us not spending enough during all the previous transfer windoww, during the shut down and whilst other clubs will struggle financially, we will be good because of the sound financial footing PL and the board have got our club in.

You've really missed the mark with that post TinyTim.

I'd be more hopeful they spend better as the have recently rather than demand the cheque book.

19 Mar 2020 13:35:14
you are spot on Johnbhoy. That was my point exactly.
Every time there is a window there are the same old voices crying for spending. Very quiet now.
The financial structure we have in place has meant we will not be as desperate as some.

{Ed007's Note - Nope - I still have absolutely no idea what the point you're trying to make here is.}

Yes our financial strategy is paying off right now. BUT why would there be voices about spending at this present time?
We are not in the transfer window and not even playing football due to a pandemic.

I think he meant it is better to keep something back for a rainy day rather than splashing the cash on a marquee signing as some people are always demanding.
