No rumours - Just would like to say
the Irish have a saying for times like
this and it has surely has come.....
Lennon my hero but making comment on on players and managers leaving
due to alleged cheating of Rangers - what about the fans who could not stomach losin take losing the league on the final day and never knew why they no had chance. Going into your work was bad enough but some fans left the club because of wearethepeeple mentality throwing it down our throats with scottish media support.
Neil think out the box and think fan perspective . Players lost out on medals and money we lost out as fans and as part of a club family.

Oh FFS, quit your greetin' . Celtic at the time had more money to throw at players than Rangers did yet you still couldn't come up with a side that could dominate the SPL . Don't blame us for that. Your board could have made mince meat out of us and chose the buiscut tin instead.... BTW, I happen to think that was a very smart board. VHSS

Really VHSS...lol
Celtic were shrewd, fielded teams they could afford, bought the £650,000 signing that was Henrik Larsson and stopped the team we all now know was way beyond rangers means from beating a record set by Celtic and are still solvent, enough said. Mrs E

For every 5 you spend we'll spent 10 or has that slipped your mind?

Like I said Mrs E... I think the Celtic board were very smart. Maybe you should read all of my post before commenting.
10 for 5...lol. Rangers were paying down the debt from 2002 and fielded some absolute rubbish teams
VHSS

VHSS....your 'post' is very contradicting. Rangers spent the money to dominate £12m Flo ? and now Rangers are no more and having to start again.
Of course the Celtic board was smart but you used the 'biscuit tin' in a having a go way the added a BTW...Mrs E

Think you'll find that I try to be as practical and honest as I can be. That may confuse some .
Rangers spent stupid money during the Generals era. After that, Murray decided it was time to start paying down the debt. Even with the use of EBT's they were a rubbish team. MON's Celtic were already a very, very good team who needed a goalkeeper and a few good defenders. If the money had been spent on those weaknesses, I happen to think that they would have walked the SPL and qualified for the last 16 in the CL at least 3 times before they managed to get it done under Strachan. It's too bad they didn't because there would be no talk of Rangers tainted titles...just the use of EBT's

ed looking at the teams in the spl who do you think will be our strongest competition for the title {Ed007's Note - I don't see any team keeping up a sustained challenge this year. I think either Hearts or Dundee Utd will come second, maybe an outside chance of Aberdeen.}

Hi Ed, since the draw for the Champions League is due, I'm a bit worried that we won't sign anyone before the deadline. I was just wondering if you think any deals will be done beforehand? KT {Ed007's Note - I think there will be a signing before the deadline, I am just hoping it will be a CB.}

What you think Ed ?
Michael Ciani ? And if you had a realistic guess who would you want as a forward ?
Jason {Ed007's Note - I have never thought we had a realistic chance of signing Ciani, Jason. I still think Rhodes could be a realistic target if he decides to leave Huddersfield.}

Dont you think that we should boycott rugby park and banish them to 3rd division where the Kille Boys could be with their beloved Rangers. I remembere the day we leathered them at their own ground only for them to celebrate at end since we lost the leage that day !

Leave the boycotts to the zombies, after all, theyve had all the practice. Killie were entitled to vote as they did. The season starts as normal for us lets enjoy it.

Right bhoys .... over the past few days all i seem to be hearing from the buns is " bring it on ... div 3... then 2.... then...1 then back to the spl!!!!.... new club debt free and far stronger....." fiair play to them i say i admire there ambition! ......any way i can only see positives from this ... we are all resolved to NO old firms for at least 3yrs ... However... if the buns are gona be so strong then surely they will be having a good cup run campaign "possibly" taking them to the final where possibly they will meet no other than ...the green machine.. and remember 2 cups= possible 2 old firms....thats bid be happy enough wae that tae be honest so lets all keep the faith !!! wee run in europe n a couple o old firm games naw too bad eh!! wit ye all think !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm willing to bet the "square balls" come back out the cupboard and Sevco and us will meet in both cups.

There is no old firm anymore. One half of the old firm are out of business, therefor there is no chance whatsoever of the fixture coming back in 3, 4, 5 10 years or in any cup games

Name one company that has gone into liquidation and come back fitter and stronger. Your right there isn't any. Newco might look like rangers but it is unlikely to be the same force it was for a long long long time.

Hi ed been on newco sites (sorry for my sins) they seem to be going into overdrive regarding celtic using ebts roy keane robbie keane bellamy juninho lennon anything to be concerned with. {Ed007's Note - No, it has been covered a hundred times. It was only Juninho that was paid this way for a very short time, all the details were contained in his contract then CFC stopped it and paid all monies due when they realised it questionable methods, it was Juninho's agent that had set up the payment method. The two Keane's and Bellamy's contract were subsidised by Dermot Desmond, it was still all in the contract and there was no tax evasion what so ever and is perfectly legal. NL invested in a scheme using money that he had already paid tax on. Brian Quinn, ex-CFC Chairman and Governor of the Bank of England made sure all CFC's finances were legal, above board and running smoothly, he has actually been appointed to the Investigatory Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) who will decide if clubs are complying with the FFFP regs. It's straw clutching and desperation from from fans who have lost their club, think how you would be feeling if there was no more CFC?}

hearing rumour from reliable source that 2 of the names on the ebt list that has not came out yet is dallas and thompson if true this is very very bad and that is comming from a blue to the bone that has been right on most things from his source scary
looks like the police investigation is going to open up a HUGE can of worms...for the the "establishment" and the former " institution"

This MUST be true - espcially in Thompson's case. Rnagers must have paid him to give you lot penalties against us in crucial league deciders not to mention booking Jelavic for diving and rescinding a blatant penalty decision in a national final............hmmmm

Liam, i said a few months ago that referees names had been found as being on the payroll, though i'm not sure that dallas and thompson are among them.....think back to the days of syme and mcluskey;)
appartently there is rock solid proof....but will it ever be aired? i doubt it

Good Morning ED007, all those fans that kept asking for Lawwell to make
a statement have their answer in today's Daily Ranger in article by Spugh Keevins headline is "Lennon wants Rangers stripped of titles".....
Our unbiased reporter then "quotes" Neil as saying above. This article is
just another way of making all the ex bears angry again at Lennon, but
hey if it sells some more papers, who cares about any threats?....
Shameful reporting by a shameful man GBNL Timalloy

It makes me so bloody mad this second rate reporter is trawling round Germany with us.I really hope we offer him the very basic in player contact,press conferences only,as he is no friend of Celtic.I would have banned the record and the sunday mail years ago,we really dont need them......green jhedi

Why are people hitting agree?
"Lawell to make a statement"...
"Lennon wants Rangers stripped of titles"?
Has NL morphed into PL?

Seems like most media outlets running with the same story with the same quotes, i fail to see your point sorry. this time we cant blame the papers for quoting what someone has said.
Agree0

The media like Lenny cause he's honest. If he is asked a question by the hacks he answers it. If Danny Lennon said the same thing it wouldn't be news. If it upset the orcs even better, it's there fault Lenny is being asked those questions. Take your anger out on Craig Whyte or David Murray for allowing this too happen. Not Lenny for sharing his (and many supporters) opinion on the matter.

POB you know fine well point I was making was that no matter what spokesperson from Celtic says anything plebs like Keevo, Jabba would twist it around.
Other people had suggested taking away titles, heck even Green tried to use it as an negotiating strategy, but Record sent people to Germany to ask Lennon his thoughts, Why? just to stir it up. GBNL

This is NL's viewpoint.

If it is proved that there was 10 years of cheating going on should have been in front of that headline ...and if there was NL is 1000% correct and he doesnt stand alone ..........TTTS

POB...if they are found guilty of breaking the rules and using duel contracts, then why shouldn't NL have an opinion on the subject. He played in the same league as them at the time and is perfectly entitled to have a say. Mrs E
Agree2
Disagree0
Ok POB, let's ask you same question...
Should ex club be stripped of all titles and cups they won during the EBT years?
Follow on to that is do you award them to second in league or beaten cup finalist.
POB do you accept that ex club tried for several years to gain an unfair advantage over every other SPL club.
My own view is that Celtic should not be awarded any titles, but that the records should be recorded as Title Not Awarded
Timalloy
POB on another thread guys are talking what song should be played as team runs out..
If Celtic run out to "It's a GRAND old Team to play for"..
surely Sevco must run out to this song
"It's a TEN PENCE new team to play for"..
PPS good to see you still follow me avidly on here should Mrs T be worried?
Agree0

Don't know about Mrs T but you worry me Tim!
You are self contradictory from one post to the next.
Nothing has been decided yet regarding EBT's. Therefore i cannot possibly comment. Your manager should not be commenting about it either until the full facts are known.
He could be accused of trying to influence the outcome or at the very least inciting more ill feeling.
He should have stuck to his original statement when he said "I don’t want to comment on it until all the results and all the findings are out. But if it has had a direct effect on me in my playing days, I will come out and say something at that time." This was in February this year the day after RFC went into admin.
Classy guy eh?
P.O.B.

Well the ceasefire didn't last long did it . NL is asked straight question and gives an honest answer so starts the " Let's get tore into NL campaign " again . Its funny when NL answers honestly it's " ill feeling " but chairmen and managers have been commenting for weeks now on all things Sevco but don't get the crap our manager gets.........DH
