Romance of the cup wee Wigan just beat city.

I never seen any Man City fans running on the pitch to protect their players.

20 Feb 2018 09:47:15
I know we have our defensive frailties, but considering the vast amount of cash Guardiola has been given at City to spend on his defense since he arrived, they are very soft-centred at times.
Stones and Danilo flatter to deceive while Otamendi has had his moments earlier in the season and Kyle Walker is definitely much better going forward. As for the Wigan fans; I cannot understand why supporters are allowed onto the pitch in any game considering the army of stewards and police that are paid to prevent this?

Ed any idea when Roberts and Griffiths are due back?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I thought Roberts might have made the bench yesterday, he was down at City last week getting a final check from their medical team and to get the OK to start playing again so maybe he'll make the bench this Sunday. LG was said to be out for a month so he's still got a couple of weeks to go yet.}

20 Feb 2018 01:07:43
Appreciate the info mate! Think Griffiths will be back for Ibrox or is that a tad too early?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He should be fit by then.}

20 Feb 2018 12:39:32
What about Compper Ed surely he isn't too far away?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I heard that Compper had broke down in training last week but I'm not sure how true that is mate, sorry the info's a bit vague.}

19 Feb 2018 20:48:51
Not been on in a while, just catching up on the posts. Lots of people having a pop at the manager and team.
I'm not saying some criticism isn't justified as performance levels have been well below last year, but lots of the posts seem to be overly negative.

Remember:
Treble winning manager
Mental unbeaten run and record that I doubt will be broken in my lifetime
Trophy in bag
Still in Europe

I reckon fans get spoilt sometimes and some would bitch no matter what.

seems to be a 50/ 50 split on here. team A. we are awful, team B. but were still on for everything. thursday night etc. the thing is. its 2 different teams. thursday/ heats amazing. random other games dire. i agree fully that our b team SHOULD be smashing the spl but rubbish happens. we have no middle ground due to crazy injuries. its not rotation. its a full swap. im happy to take every point while its happening. right away to sit back on my fence.

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Would you say that was our B team though, Gerry? Look at the players we have out injured, Ralston and definitely Compper would have played yesterday, Armstrong or Ntcham depending on who played the EL game and the same between Roberts and Forrest, LG would have probably started Thursday on the bench but in the starting line-up yesterday and it was Rogic's first game after a 6/7 week lay off. I wouldn't say yesterday was a B team but that it was more a case of Rodgers playing who was available to allow the best possible preparations for the Zenit game.}

19 Feb 2018 22:28:44
Spot on Ed. BRENDAN HAS PRIORITISED the Zenit game. We have loads of players to come back and then we may not need to rotate as much as now.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2018 08:48:34
Celtic have averaged 2.26 points per game in the league this season.
TRIFC and Aberdeen have averaged 1.926 points.

Being generous and saying either team hits Our average points tally then they shouldn’t get any more than 77 points (more then either of them got last season) . With that scenario we would only need 5 wins and a draw (say 6 wins) to win the league.

Nae bother at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2018 12:42:49
There's nothing to say we can't go unbeaten for the rest of the season. Or win all of the remaining games. We done it last season. Think wits the players coming back that'll give us more options. If we beat Aberdeen and Rangers then the league is in the bag. As we aren't going to slip up with that big a gap with the other 10 games.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2018 22:03:57
totally agree 007. my point was mostly that wee seem to have a flair team for bigger games and a workhorse team for the grind. as the injured come back i think well see a much more even rotation. Hail Hail.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 20:32:02
BR is only giving Tommy wright a hand to beat the drop that's all, so don't worry we will do them all in the games to come.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Feb 2018 18:33:47
Is It just me or does any one else feel that br was out of order questioning st johnstone players over only showing up on the big occasions, when I feel that's exactly what our team does.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

19 Feb 2018 18:50:32
No the question asked to him was answered the way you would expect him to answer it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 20:13:02
Well i believe he should be concentrated on our team when they do exactly the same thing Ie zenit, anderlect (away) , compared to killie and st johnstone games, our team seems unchallenged, over confident, bored even at domestic level.

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Feb 2018 20:31:21
The team that played against St Johnstone was exactly our first eleven . Against Zenit we had over half our best players missing through injury and B R correctly, in my view rested 7 for St Johnstone game . So we don't know how our best players would have reacted to the Saints .
It has to be frustrating for Brendan to see the St Johnstone team play like men processed against us and as soft touches against most teams.

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Feb 2018 21:00:54
Fair point chris but we had a full x11 against killie?

Apparently according to my ex bear pals the "title race is wide open"
and now hearing that the Hibs manager is giving the same guff to the media.
Did I miss something?
Are Celtic not 9 points clear with only 11 games to go.
My ex bear pals keep looking into their Sevco crystal ball and their predictions are Celtic lose at Pittodrie, then at Ibrokes, gap is cut to "only 3 points" then "game on"
Even if that somehow came about, Celtic have both the huns and the sheep at Celtic Park after the split, so have the opportunity to rectify any points lost.
But my two ex bear pals have already placed bets of Sevco winning the league at 80/ 1 ( admittedly both only "risked" a tenner each)
I told them to bet at the Timalloy bookmaking emporium and I would have given them odds of 250/ 1.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

19 Feb 2018 19:43:10
Have they erased the memory of wee lenny pumping them twice at the crumbledome Tim, and never mind coming to paradise they've to go to Easter road never easy place, and the mighty Hamilton put 3 by them and if the Hamilton keeper was up to it they might have drawn.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 20:33:05
I wouldn't get too stressed about it, opposition managers can hardly say anything else.
They have to try and keep their players motivated till the end of the season.
I would hope our manager would say the same if the roles were reversed.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2018 08:48:48
Rangers are rubbish. A bit better than the utter rubbish they were, but still rubbish. I have absolutely no worries about extending the gap and beating them at Ibrox and at home. The same for Aberdeen. Rogers will focus the top team to start giving teams hefty tankings.

Sunday was just too many changes and relying on too many players out of form or back from injuries. The fact we created next to nothing confirms this. Those players should have had more than enough to deal with a team of journeymen.

It was a reminder that if we don't focus we can drop points. Two draws at home with St J just isn't good enough. We need to play in the same way we did against Zenit. If we do then no one can or will get near us.

Let them delude themselves. They are in a league of their own on that score. Their pain will only be made more acute when reality calls. I will enjoy that very much. It's coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 13:44:44
Yesterday was a good smack of reality after the buzz of Thursday's performance and result. Granted it was far from our strongest 11 but that was unacceptable yesterday. 50000+ turnout to watch that. We've 20x the budget of St Johnstone but we were playing at their level.

Rodgers is too blame for that yesterday. Got the starting 11 wrong and there seemed to be no tactical plan. As an attacking force we have been so poor in so many games this year. We hardly create anything.

The supporters out there saying 'we'll still win the league by a country mile', that attitude stinks of complacency. If yesterday was a one-off fair enough but personally I have been frustrated with our performances all season - the tempo has gone, no creativity, nothing!

Can I just add. I am not comparing this season to last season or any other cause that's not the way Brendan will be or should be viewing it. It's about the here and now, and they better get firing soon. Only 11 games left, been waiting all season for them to get out of 1st gear.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

19 Feb 2018 16:52:10
You must have missed a lot of games this season if you have not saw the team get out of first gear.

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Feb 2018 17:34:17
Do you think we will loss 3 of those games and Aberdeen or the rotten mob win every game? We will win the league by double figures.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 18:45:49
The team have been missing several vital players at different stages of the season since day one - and some have hardly played at all; but we are still leading the race comfortably, with a trophy already bagged, a quarter final home-tie in the SC and a chance of getting into the last 16 in the EL?
Of course we have not played our best stuff consistently and have dropped more points than expected, but no other team could possibly have attained our points total with nearly a whole first team absent through injury for large periods.
Roberts, Armstrong, Griffiths, Dembele and Rogic have all missed a large part of the season and the goal threat they carry; plus injuries to other players like Gordon, Ralston, Hayes, Commper, and Boyata and now Biton have also put limits on matchday choices.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 21:03:03
NC 67 what qualifies you to know that B Rodgers was to blame for yesterday's draw . If he had played 10 of the team that beat zenit and won one nil and if Tirney, Ntcham and Dembele had picked up injuries and were now going to miss the game on Thursday would you be happy .
We can all be smart using hindsight, but B R isn't given that chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2018 09:15:15
Sorry I ain't happy with drawing games. Or the fact we haven't scored a goal in our last 2 games against St Johnstone and Killie.

BR made too many changes. Players brought in did not do themselves any favours either.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 11:33:56
What is the most important game. russia or Aberdeen.
If you were offered a a win and a lose I would take the win at Aberdeen and the lose in Russia.
The reason I say that is that we are clearly not the same team as last year and I don't think the team can be trusted to take full points in our remaining games. so we must take them off our closest rivals.
If we went further in Europe then there would be more games like yesterday were the team is weakened.
Fans criticising other fans for saying the league isn't over should remember the 15 point swing when Lennon won it.
The attitude that it's over is complacency. until it's won then it ain't over.
As for the injuries, these players ain't going to hit the ground running the minute they are back. they have been out to long for that to happen.
Imo it has to be the strongest 11 every game.
No more gambles. this is our best chance for 10 we can't blow it.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - If someone offered me a win and a lose I'd tell them to pi$$ off and give me the 2 wins that I know we're capable of, or a draw in Russia at the very least.
So you think Aberdeen and TRIFC can go the rest of the season without dropping points - even though they've still to play each other - the same Aberdeen that were beaten by Hibs and the same TRIFC that shipped three goals to Accies at the weekend? We're 9 points clear with 11 games to go and anybody that thinks we won't win the league is talking total bollocks, that's not criticising them btw, that's just a fact.}

19 Feb 2018 11:53:47
Ed I have been trying not to comment on the people who are saying the leagues not finished because I couldn't be bothered arguing with the panick merchants. But you just hit the nail on the head there mate.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - It's nothing but negative twaddle, Kev.}

19 Feb 2018 11:55:04
I never said we wouldn't win the league but the next 3 league games will tell us how comfortable or anxious the run in will be.
We win them and it's done we drop points and it who knows.
We are dropping points regularly now so you can't say for certain that trend will not continue.
I will make judgement on if it's done after the next 3 games.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I never said you said we wouldn't win the league, it was you that brought up the fans that are saying it and I addressed that.}

19 Feb 2018 12:29:48
Well I can make my judgement now. It's done and was done before we even kicked a ball this season.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I'll even go as far as to say we'll win next year's league too, Kev (yes)

19 Feb 2018 12:51:09
Ok. once you two are finished with your crystal ball can I get it for the lotto numbers. 🤣🤣.

19 Feb 2018 12:51:48
I'd take a 2-1 loss in Zenit. Although would rather we won both games. Just hope the fitness levels are there on Sundays conveniently arranged fixture and we don't have to put up with foul play tactics from the sheep shaggers.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 12:59:57
So the scenario to ‘blow’ the league.

Lose 3 of the remaining 11 games and draw another.

Let’s look at Aberdeen, bottle crashes in the pressure games. They just can’t win the games that matter.

That leaves the Sevies as the most likely ‘challenger’.

11 games and they’ll most likely need to pick up maximum points, having to win against us at Ibrox and Celtic Park.

Unbelievable nonsense to suggest anything other than a 7th successive title for the hoops.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 12:43:35
Jungle John you do realise we can still qualify if we lose in Russia?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 12:57:40
ha ha ED007 I was waiting on you biting back at all those nay sayers, and this "are you a season ticket holder" to justify their point of view is nonsense.
We all know Sunday was poor but most fans put it behind them and move on.
I am looking forward to next season already, as when all the injured players are back added to our new signings and returning players like Christie we should have a full squad able to interchange with no dropping in performance, I hope.
Can these negative posters not understand that Brendan was looking towards the next 2 games Zenit and Aberdeen, and needed to give the likes of Tierney, Simonovic, Lustig etc some down time to avoid more injuries or exhaustion.
People seem to forget also that european games takes it's toll mentally and physically, so the players need to be protected. Travellling to Russia playing a hard game, travelling back then having to travel again to Aberdeen will tax our players. Trust Brendan and our medical staff to look after our players.

Agree1 Disagree2

19 Feb 2018 13:12:25

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 15:33:38
I would take a win or a draw in Russia every day of the week. We have 2 games against Rangers and if they ate to get close they need to win both those games otherwise they have no chance. They might get 1 point over the 2 games. Do think they will finish second. Aberdeen won't get close.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 17:36:55
9 points clear, 18 to play for i think, sheep and servco need to win all 6 to get to 70 points, we are at 61 points, tic need 10 points from 6 games. chillax, no squeaky bum time yet. win by 1 point or a 100 points, its a win win. but would be nice to do it in style as always. lol hail hail. Zenith will be a different team on Thursday, our away record not so good, but as long as we get the formation right again and hopefully steal a goal, we can't concede to many obviously. take a draw or as bravetart86 says 2-1 would be nice. h. h.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 20:37:45
doh. forgot the split. still won it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 11:08:44
Ed what's your take on all the negativity on here? We are top of the league by 9 points. Have won a cup and are on track for treble and are still in Europe. I think that's it and BR has to go according to some. I mean EVERY team is stronger, there is and higher calibre of manager in the league now. No matter it's just not good enough to be doing as well as we are. Have an opinion fair enough but some of the comments on here are out if place even full if the wine.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - As I said on a thread last night, Kwaj, there's always a bit of a negative reaction when we don't win easily by a few goals. Even though I think a lot of it is an over reaction everyone's entitled to their opinion. I'm more a glass half full type of guy and can understand why Rodgers made the changes he did with the squad flying out today - AND even though it obviously didn't work out the way any of us wanted I think all the talk about not winning the league etc is ridiculous.}

19 Feb 2018 09:57:30
I know a draw at the weekend isn't the end of the world, far from it, but i can't get my head around why the players on the park at the weekend almost seemed happy with a draw, youd think they would want to go out and prove a point to Rodgers, they proved a point to him it was just the wrong one. Hopefully we get the squad back to as close to full fitness as possible over the next few weeks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Feb 2018 21:12:15
Eq93, why do you think the players yesterday didn't want to show BR that they were good enough to play for Celtic and to prove a point .
In the season 66/ 67 Dundee United beat Celtic 3-1 home and away . Do you think Celtic players didn't want to show J Stein they could beat Dun Utd especially in the second game .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 08:40:35
To put the minds at rest of all the panic merchants who have went into a frenzy after yesterday's draw you do realise we only need 5 wins and 6 draws from our remaining 11 games to secure 7 iar 🤔🤔.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

19 Feb 2018 08:43:25
@Stevie that is far too positive a post for on here, it will never catch on.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 09:39:15
Stevie and Tim you could take your head out the sand and realise we haven't played enough decent matches this season. I doubt either of you are season ticket holders because if you were then why would you justify performances like yesterday which is the norm at Celtic park in far too many domestic matches. It also becomes tiresome reading we were spoilt last year etc I don't think it's too much to expect yesterday's team to beat st Johnstone, hand on heart is there a st Johnstone player that you think is any good? do you think we should be scraping past partick at home? Our domestic form since way before hearts has been poor and it's time Brendan addressed it properly. I don't believe our injury list is unlucky anymore I think it's poor management because there are just too many guys out for too long and what was the point of a mid season break when the players came back with more injuries and saying they actually worked harder?

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Feb 2018 10:18:57
Stevie. I am not in any doubt that we will win the league that isn't really in doubt.
My concern is about the level of our performances in the league games. I think that with the players we have we are capable of so much more. Opposition teams seem to be able to nullify our strengths far too easily lately.
I am certainly not panicking about anything, we are still in a great position to hopefully win another treble, but I still think we need to find an answer to the tactics that teams are employing against us.
Next season we will have even more games as we have to play an extra Champions league qualifying round. We will make life far easier for ourselves if we don't get bogged down in games like we have so often this season.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 10:50:20
@Jim firstly I am a season ticket holder for 22 years and probably missed 10 games in that time, to judge anyone if they are a season ticket holder or not is pretty poor, are you trying to say that anyone that can't get along to games for one reason or another shouldn't have an opinion, secondly I don't expect to win any game of football just as I don't expect us to lose any game. What I see is a team struggling for consistency mainly down to a crippling injury list and a huge amount of fixtures (more than any other team in Europe) but i also see a team that's got a 9 pt lead in the league and is still in another 2 competitions with one trophy in the cabinet. Results like yesterday will always happen, Rochdale drew with Spurs yesterday after them getting a great result in Turin it happens. Anyway seen too many bad times as a Celtic fan to cry about 2 domestic defeats in nearly 2 seasons. @ Gerryc can't disagree with too much of your post.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 11:20:55
They drew and could have won. A cobbled together team with 7 changes. Any team would take time to click. I seen some performances that were pleasing and others not do. But what did you expect. They did okay considering that. If he played his core players and the hackers of St Johnstone and Beaton poor refereeing cost us to lose players you would be moaning about that. Judge if you must at season end for the moment try bring supportive of what BR is doing. If BR decided to leave what then. Do you think our next manager will only manage to lose 2 games over the course of nearly 2 seasons?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 11:39:37
Stevie where did I say you can't have an opinion? And yes I do think it matters if you go to matches because you are seeing the whole performance and paying for it over someone relying on TV or radio telling them what's happening. I am fully aware there are reasons for our lack of consistency but some of that is in Brendan and the boards control. I expect people to have different opinions and the first one is that i expect us to win every domestic match but I can accept defeats or draws on occasions as that's what can happen but we are not getting a good enough level of performance in domestic matches this season. I heard on the radio last night on the way home that last season we were 27 points ahead of Aberdeen at this stage, now last season was special but don't you think we've slipped too far back to the pack for some people to claim we're making progress?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So folk watching games on TV can't see anything themselves and don't see more of the game than people sitting half cut in a corner at Celtic Park? Do people who pay SLY Sports subscriptions get more of a say than someone watching a stream because they pay for it? I've never heard so much garbage in my life.
And then you finish off by talking about something you heard on the radio!}

19 Feb 2018 12:12:36
Jim stop talking crap, are you trying to say you get a better view of the action sitting in your seat than you do watching on your 55 inch UHD telly? Where do you sit? in the directors box with a telly in front of you? I sit in the Jock Stein lower and struggle to see exactly what's going on at the other end. I suppose you were one of the boo boys at f/ t yesterday or were you back in the car listening on the radio by that time .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 12:20:29
Oi hope you weren’t referring to me there ed I’ve seen at least 2/ 10 games in n my corner 😂.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Exactly my point though, to say that you see more of the game being there is crazy talk and the old "I'm a season ticket holder so have more right to.." is borderline Hun behaviour.}

19 Feb 2018 12:56:42
Yer def right even sober I only see so much of the game most of our section is based on showing support for the team so with all the flag waving jumping around etc we don’t see most of what’s going on. I’ll watch many a game later just to see what I’ve missed.
As for slagging folk off who aren’t st holders wtf is that all about I had 17yrs without mine as work and family commitments were more important and I supported the team just as much then.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2018 12:41:47
Stevie I left at 90 minutes gutted and i've never booed but I fully understand the reason for them booing can't you? Ed I do think I see the bigger picture of a match at the game regards movement and positioning of players over a TV or radio. yes I may not see some aspects clearly such as handball offside but I'd still rather be at the match to make my own judgement. I also think fans who part with hard earned cash to attend the matches will in general be more critical of what they are seeing. That doesn't mean that those not attending don't support Celtic any less like you are trying to infer I'm saying.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Just because you think something doesn't make it right though, stick to the facts and your own opinion instead of guessing what other people are thinking. Obviously you'll see more than someone listening on the radio but there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that you see more of a game being there than you do on TV, how many replays and camera angles do you see from your seat? Where do you sit because I've stood and sat in every stand at Celtic Park over the years and I know that's just not true?
And you can understand morons booing young Celtic players off the park - really? What happened to the Best Fans in the World, or is that only when we're winning? Two defeats in 18 months, 4 trophies in the bag and another Treble on the horizon and a better chance of the Last 16 in the EL that most people - including a lot of our own 'fans' - gave us and you can understand some cretins booing KT, Kouassi, Ajer, Hendry, McGregor etc off the park? I can't, and never will, understand the reasoning behind it so maybe you could explain it.}

19 Feb 2018 13:27:07
I've never claimed Celtic fans are the best in the world I'll leave that to other I prefer to follow my team rather than claim Celtic family etc. As I said I've never booed and never will but I believe if you pay your money you can let the team/ manager/ board know how you feel by booing or leaving or by using banners if you feel the need. I also sometimes like to vent frustration on this forum. And I'll stick to my opinion it's better to watch a game than rely on streams or subscriptions for matches.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Hopefully the morons do leave and don't come back then, they'll see more of the game watching it in the house anyway, and they can sit in their living room booing at the TV and waving their RODGERSOUT banners.
I wonder if the same cretins that think it's OK to boo and abuse young Celtic players think it would be OK to go to a kid's school nativity and boo the wee ginger guy with a stutter playing Joseph simply because they've paid for your ticket? Just because you've paid for a ticket doesn't give you an excuse to be an ar$hole, it's as simple as that.}

19 Feb 2018 14:16:28
So now you've taken it from the match/ armchair to the Nativity show lol. Ps I wouldn't worry about those poor we fragile footballers too much I'm sure they'll jump in their Bentley's and get over it. 😫.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And I've have thought the grown men would know better than booing young players who play for a team they claim to support, and just because there's other idiots in the stadium that think that it's OK because they've paid for their ticket doesn't mean it is. If they stayed in the house and watched it on TV they'd maybe understand football better.
If you don't think that booing affects players, not just youngsters either, then you know even less than I'm giving you credit for.}

So now your talking about those that booed and questioning if they support their team over the armchair brigade many of whom don't want to give Celtic money? And I'm not talking about those who can't go for financial of health reasons or live far away etc more the group that could go but don't want to and would rather buy sky or go to the pub. ps those that booed and there were plenty didn't do it during the game and didn't direct it at individuals but as a general collective at final whistle which may or may not be right but it doesn't bother me that they did boo.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm saying that those that boo our own players are complete morons that we could do without. Yes I'm questioning their support, unless of course you can explain how acting like a spoilt brat and booing a Celtic team full of youngsters for DRAWING a game is supporting the team?
Those idiots booed off a Celtic team containing players like Calvin Miller(20), KT(20), McGregor(24), Ajer(19), Edouard, Hendry(22), Musonda(20) and Kouassi(20) and you think that's OK? The squad is down to the bare bones with injuries and that was probably the best team Rodgers could have picked considering the run of games we're in and we drew, we didn't get beat and we weren't played off the park, our kids drew an SPFL game increasing our lead in the league and were booed off the park. #BESTFANSINTHEWORLD
Do you want posters to start their posts by saying if they've got a season ticket or not? That way you won't need to read opinions of the armchair brigade that don't go to games, or what about a separate page altogether where all the important fans can talk about things like what you missed during the game?}

I’ve got a season ticket and I tell u what having it and going to the games is for my support of Celtic. Not cos I treat it like a day out to the pictures and expect entertainment from start to finish.
Any fan booing the team is complete and utter embarrassment and needs to take a long look in the mirror. You really believe any player doesn’t try their best?
Those young bhoys yesterday will have been busting a gut throughout their young careers to get to a stage where they can play. Cal Mac been at club since 8 and gets to wear the armband what an achievement. Tierney the same you think these bhoys don’t understand what it’s like to support Celtic then you get tits like u in our support who think it’s ok to boo them cos you’ve no been “entertained”
Shocking post and unfortunately there’s quite a few like you.

You hit the nail on the head Welsbhoy, a lot that go treat it like a day out that they've paid for and must be entertained on and off the park, groan at every backward pass, whinge if we only win 1-0. CL nights are the worst for the I've paid top dollar I want entertained cretins. They expect their night to start with a rousing YNWA followed by a flawless team performance with a 67 min light display and a stadium huddle in between so they can tick the experience off their bucket list, you won't find those cretins in a half full Celtic Park in the 3rd round of the League cup. Give me a scrappy 1-0 or an emphatic 5-0 doesn't really matter, obviously you prefer to see your team win with a bit of style but winning and picking up silverware is the most important thing to me.

Welsbhoy i've said repeatedly I've never booed but I won't condemn others that's their choice especially at the end of games. i didn't condemn the green brigade when they slagged the board for buying inferior players with their display, is that not slagging Celtic players? If everyone acted like the green brigade the ground would be shut and no-one would know the score as you've alluded you don't know what's happening yourself. Im also pretty sure the club value the support who don't cause hassle more than half a section😮.

Who mentioned the green brigade (of which I’m not a member btw) and what’s that shite about the club valuing those who don’t cos bother the club values anyone willing to put money in the coffers but that’s for another day. Do the players value those who boo at them? You say you don’t do it well done but to support rather than condemn those who do to me is just as bad.
This topic really gets on my wick can’t understand anyone who doesn’t give support to the players win lose or draw. Discussions about players having bad games manager choosing bad tactics etc are all prt n parcel and yes everyone is entitled to an opinion. But to vent frustration at players or management by booing is unacceptable.

The booing at the end of the match yesterday was unforgivable but was it as bad as the moans and groans during the match when a Celtic misplaced a ball or didn't control it . These morons are either parents are likely to become parents if they ever mature . As Ed007 says the Celtic park morons wouldn't take too kindly if people shouted abuse at the child's annual school play

If u want Celtic to get positive results support the team, your support will help the players to get the confidence to play better .
When St Johnstone come to C P with 50/ 60 fans the match becomes a home match for them, as their players get a lift from our fans shouting abuse at Celtic players who often proceed to hide.

This league is not over yet. I posted the same last week and nothing has changed my mind. Yesterday was a gamble by BR, it backfired, and we just got away with it.

Russia, Followed by Aberdeen. Bad place to go if the worst happens over there. A defeat there would hurt us. Badly in my opinion.

I also believe we saw the continuation of something that has bothered me all season. Inept refereeing, or suspiciously inept refereeing? On Sunday i watched, again, as a team were allowed to break the game with a non stop succession of free kicks. There were the almost obligatory bad fouls, again overlooked, but most were just blocks and pulling. Why no bookings!

Perfect case is mclean. as we know this guy is no friend of Celtic, but he should have been booked, by the laws of the game FOUR TIMES. Add his teammates free pass as well and you do wonder.

Beaton was a disgrace gave us heehaw and only started booking them in last 5 mins meaning no time left to have yoto send one off.

The biased refereeing has always been there, but it becomes more apparent when the team is not playing well, taking their chances and making their own luck. I have posted several times about the blind eyes and lack of protection afforded to Celtic players all season and they could use this factor to channel that extra determination and fight to their advantage and not give them the satisfaction.

There is an advantage in playing Aberdeen immediately after Zenit away . We know we are playing the 2nd best. team in the League and everyone players coaches alike will be all out keep Aberdeen in their place.
