I have been a celtic supporter for many many years but never been to shocked as to hear Neil Lennon want to claim historical titles from Rangers, we lost the titles fair and square, we were not good enough on those occasions, so to state that he wants those titles is pathetic and embaressing.
Firstly there is no chance of this happening and secondly, why lower himself down to the level of a begger.
I am a die hard supporter but feel shocked by this low dig at Rangers who we do need financially in scotland.
There was nothing fair or square about it, they were using staff they couldn't afford. they were not paying tax they did this country out of £75m , they won 5 titles with these illegal players , titles that we would have won . titles that would have given us automatic entry to the champions league . 5 years in the champions league that would have brought £75m into our coffers.begging your having a laugh mate , they should lose all 17 trophies they won in that period . as i see it we will get 12 in a row this year..billybhoy
To the original poster let me put it this way , over the years dozens if not hundreds of people have had medals sripped from them for cheating , lets take the most famous one , ben johnson olympic gold medalist , medal taken away for drug enhanced performance , now the key word there is '' enhanced '' rangers won all their medals with financially '' enhanced '' perfomance ie they used superior players rather than what they could afford . so is there any difference between cheating with drugs and cheating with money . cheating is cheating..billybhoy {Ed001's Note - the problem is, where do you draw the line? Any club with a debt of any kind is technically spending more than they can afford. That is why it is very unlikely to result in lost trophies, the line is far too fine and could end up anywhere.}
