My wife booked a wee Irish concert for tonight.
The Kilkenny’s. It started @7.30pm.
That’s the entertainment sorted for tomorrow because we get it for 2 days.

They’re a brilliant band.
I seen them live in the Motherwell Civic Centre a couple of years ago.
I missed them last year because the concert clashed with our Treble Treble day.

I hope this small winter break to Dubai has the same positive effect it’s produced the last few seasons, when we’ve went on to win every domestic honour in sight.
I know it’s a long season but I feel Celtic are missing an opportunity to play a couple of our games in hand due to this small trip.
Celtic are missing out on 2 midweek fixture dates due to our trip abroad.
As it stands Celtic will still have 3 outstanding games in the middle of February.
The one rearranged game against Livingston on the 20th January will be wiped out a few days later when our league game will be cancelled due to the league cup Semi Finals.
Ideally I would’ve liked to have seen 2 midweek fixtures either side of the Hibs match and add that to our victory at Ibrox and it’s game on.
Now it looks like we’re going into March with games in hand.
I feel Celtic are contributing to putting pressure on our players and at the same time easing the pressure on our rivals by having this small winter break in Dubai.

They’d better not get stranded.

Ed what do you think about annual awards each year for the punters on the banter page? We could maybe even have separate awards for the live chat? Possibly (1) The Most Miserable Ba$tard Award 2020 (2) The Angriest Fecker Award 2020. (3) The Pi$h Talker of the Year Award 2020. That will be hard to pick and I reckon I'm in the running. (4) The Positive Person Award 2020. Nominations will be be hard to find. (5) Statistician of the Year with Facts the Nobody Else on the Planet Would Know 2020 or just the Buzz Award 2020 if that's too long. We could have a poll to pick the winner. Just a thought.

{Ed007's Note - We can do that.}

Ha Ha Brilliant suggestion JFP.
The engraver can start etching away on the "Statistician of the Year with Facts the Nobody Else on the Planet Would Know 2020 ' just now. Mr lightyear has that firmly in his grasp!

Hi Ed, just seen Pods message on the money raised for the Foodbank this Christmas - BRILLIANT.
Completely agree with Pod, great effort again by you Ed and well supported by the Bhoys and Ghirls on this site.
We all know the foundation that our great Club was founded on and for me you're continuing that work on this site in support of the Foodbank which can only be a good thing, especially at Christmas.
HH.

{Ed007's Note - Thank you, Pedro but it's no great from me mate, it's all you guys that have donated that deserve the plaudits. 👏🙏

Can we settle on a great effort by all? Prediction for tomorrow Ed?

{Ed007's Note - That'll do 👍 I'm going for 3-1 tomorrow.... no make it 2-0 😁

Team for tomorrow
Hazard
Ajer
Julien
Duffy
Laxalt
Soro
McGregor
Turnbull
Frimpong
Eddy
Moi
But he'll go with brown and Christie at the expense of soro and turnbull imo.

19 Dec 2020 14:20:42
Agree Mally, would it be bonkers to think we could start Brown infront of a back 3 with Soro, Turnbull and McGregor in the midfield?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2020 16:28:20
Christie should be in the team well before frimpong.

As mad as it might be l think he will start barkas tomorrow too.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2020 17:57:37
We need width and Christie doesn't give us that and moi ain't a winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2020 19:14:15
I can see him recalling the likes of Brown, Christie and even Rogic because of these players Hamden Cup Final experience.
Personally, I would prefer to see Turnbull and Soro out there as they are full of confidence and the open space would suit Turnbull to a T.
Hazard has done exceptionally well to come in under so much pressure and I would have no problem with him starting, but can also I see him reverting to Barkas - just have to wait and see?
The back four or Ajer Duffy Jullien and Taylor would seem sensible and although I don't think Eddy has been anywhere near good enough based on last season's form - again it's an experience thing and hopefully he will kick-start his season from here?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2020 20:12:13
What does frimpong bring? he's one of the most ineffective player at the club. Christie brings goals and assists. They win games.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Dec 2020 23:36:29
Kev frimpong ain't great but he gives us width and he gets us up the park Christie assists now and again more often than not be over hits a diagonal. but he chips in with goals so that might swing it.

I was bouncing aff the ceiling. Watched it 3 times already. Minute the ship arrived i was squealing who it was.
Going to be loads of tie in and over lapping by the looks of it eh?
Glad I watched the clone wars and rebels cartoons with the weans because they introduce a lot of the characters we are about to see.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yeah I pure Fanboyed out as well. We'll all end up rewatching all sorts as the stories unfold.}

19 Dec 2020 21:19:28
Surprised we ain't seen thrawn yet. Think there is 19 years between the mandalorian and force awakens so be interesting to see what happens to the child in that time.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2020 23:50:21
If you watch Rebels he is a Thrawn is a major part of that series. Think he is going to be heavily involved with Ahsoka series as well.

Holly rubbish Ed, just seen the total raised so far for the food bank is standing at £3050.
I know you appreciate every penny and some can give more than others, but every pound will make a difference to someones Christmas. The £1000 donation, from someone who wishes to stay anonymous, has boosted what was already a massively generous contribution for all the readers.
Well done you! Just goes to show how much the folk on this page appreciate all the hard work you're putting in.

Have a great Christmas and New Year!

Stay safe.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Thanks Pod, I still can't get my head round someone donating that much. As I said yesterday that's going above and beyond and I'd be happy if folk just donated the price of a pint or a coffee.
The foodbank are going to be delighted and that's the main thing 🙏}
