The performance today was very flat. We were getting much more joy in the first half because they were committing bodies forward but they became very defensive and hard to break down after the sending off, which was one of the softest I've seen. Put it behind us and move on to the next one. HH.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I still can't see why Kipre was sent off, Kev.}

18 Mar 2018 22:05:47
He was silly and the ref made an asss of it thinking he kicked brown.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can't see why Brown's getting the blame for it either right enough.}

18 Mar 2018 22:07:12
It spoiled what was an end to end game until that point.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Murderwell camped in for the second half and we just couldn't break them down, at times we spend too much time trying to walk the ball in for my liking when we should be bombarding balls into the opposition's box.}

18 Mar 2018 22:24:10
There were chances for balls to be squared rogic and Sinclair but at the same time carson was good can see why rodgers wanted to sign him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sinclair made the wrong choice there, Sammy. Maybe he was trying too hard to get a goal for himself to boost his confidence rather than see the bigger picture.}

18 Mar 2018 23:34:38
Just seen the highlights Scott Brown had a wee dig at Kipre with his arm and Kipre had a wee retaliation a la Beckham, a sort of backheeler, wouldn't have amounted to much but one of the officials seen it,9 times out of ten, it wouldn't have raised an eyebrow,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's the raised eyebrows we need to keep an eye on.}

18 Mar 2018 22:33:37
Was thinking that myself although I do think Rogic should've squared for dembele as well with correct decisions today dembele could have had a few tap ins.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 11:24:23
I was thinking the initial challenge from kipre was a bad one, looked to go right over the ball, but i think his reputation git him the red more than anything else.

Agree0 Disagree1

19 Mar 2018 13:13:49
i said during the game it was handbags, a bit of big girls blousing by both players and the game shouldn't have even been stopped, its a mans game get on with it its a contact sport, it wasnt a full on boot.

Agree7 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 15:31:37
A good referee would have given them a talking to, and told them to shake hands and just get on with the game, .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 19:46:17
Red card for the kick out and the ref caught it, it's not the ferocity of the challenge, but the intent to lash out, (intent) .

Broony did not help things with his reaction, but if it was the other way round, then the other player would still be rolling about and broony off.

The ref dammed of he does and dammed if he does not, in all fairness yellow each. ( depends who you support ) .

Agree1 Disagree2

19 Mar 2018 22:23:36
If You feel Jozo deserved a red consistency on your behalf would mean Kiprie would have to go this week . Similarly if you thought Jozo was unlucky and shouldn't have got red then neither should Kiprie .

Agree0 Disagree3

20 Mar 2018 16:37:20
Down to the individual ref's interpretation. Personally i thought jozo put his arm up to block but not to inflict.

Again a yellow would have been my shout in both cases, and let the game commence.

Any Ref's out there, or on here, who's know the rules and can clarify.

Evening ED, any idea why musonda never got a run out today? Between a LAN fee and wages d think we're paying Chelsea a considerable sum for a Scottish club yet he can't get off our bench?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know.}

19 Mar 2018 13:14:55
Obviously Brendan doesn’t think he’s good enough, tbh I can’t see him getting in our team, judging on the few times I’ve seen him, strange signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 21:26:03
A was really looking forward to seeing masunda tearing teams apart. He's very small and light, maybe he's hitting the gym to bulk up a bit before he settles into the team for next season. Hope he makes an impact before then tho cos he looks a right talent.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 22:29:21
When Mosunda arrived at Celtic morale was maybe a little low especially among supporters, Mosanda was rushed into match day squad and used in early games, when Roberts came he was held back for some weeks and given an opportunity to train and play with the players . He was better prepared to make his debut .
Hopefully Mosunda will be far more effective when Rodgers brings him back in.

Was a bit disappointed dropping two points against that mob - especially when we had an extra man for majority of the game and at times it reminded me of one of those games after a CL game when we were off the boil and out of sorts in front of goal. Obviously pressing and dominating possession, but missing the composure of last week and our final ball or shot at goal, fell short although they defended like their lives depended on it.
Looking at the bigger picture we extended our lead by a point and a shut-out for Bain was great, while Hendry had a great game looking after the nervy Boyata.
McGregor is no KT, but filled in very well and Rogic had some fine touches, but like the front men had little space or time to make the difference we know they can.
Point gained maybe, but would have preferred three.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Thought it was a poor performance. Rogic was good, Dembele is miles off last season. Ajar and Henry did well as did Bain but no cutting edge. We are average team in a below average league. Have not won 4 in a row all season. That's not good enough. Today is typical of our season. I looked at the bench today. Mousonda, Armstrong, Sinclair, Roberts and yet we can't score 1 goal against Motherwell playing with a front line of Edouard, Dembele, Forrest, and Rogic at no 10? Until the sending off Motherwell had held their own. We should be better than that.

Agree5 Disagree1

18 Mar 2018 16:39:56
So how many games are left and what's the earliest we can win the league assuming we don't drop anymore points?

Sevco? ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Mar 2018 18:32:06
It would be awesome if we won it at home to sevco but they haven't announced fixtures for the split yet and they will not let that happen, I wouldn't even be shocked if they made us play them at Ibrokes again.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Mar 2018 19:36:45
That'll never happen. There would be a riot.

Interesting line up. looks like it could be pretty fluent, weather and pitch allowing obvs. I worry about the tight pitch though as they will try to drag us into a slog in the middle.

Hi Ed, Just been reading about Simunovics international dilemma what's your views on it? Bit harsh on the young guy imo considering he hasn't even played for Bosnia. But in youth you can chop and change when you feel like it like Karamokos situation.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I've not really got an opinion on it although I did like the part where he told them he wanted to concentrate on playing for Celtic, if only more of our players would do the same.}

18 Mar 2018 17:53:50
Do you think the KT injury is legit or is that more of a tactical way of getting him out of international duties?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I did think of that myself.}

18 Mar 2018 19:43:13
He was definitely in the columba club in Coatbridge yesterday at the bar, my cousin sent a picture, maybe he was reeking this morning or maybe he had a couple cos he wasn't playing, who knows.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 22:32:32
He regularly claims he doesn't drink . I suppose that will only encourage some fans to claim they saw him drinking.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2018 08:40:15
Never said a saw him drinking. My cousin saw him at the bar and sent me a photo to get me to come out drinking with him. The photo is just him standing at the bar waiting to get served. He could've been buying a pint of orange juice or a pint of lager either one is fine by me if he knows he's not playing.

Strange to finally get Compper back from injury and he sits on the bench for that error strewn wannabe defender Boyata!

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 00:39:32
When he is cutting the mustard in training he will start. BR's statement about signing for celtic is signing a training contract and he decides if you play. If commper is off the pace still he must still be behind a rusty Boyata. then boyata goes in. Remember he has hardly kicked a ball for a year before joining us. Imo it's money. If boyata is for the off he has to play as far as his transfer value is concerned if the team can carry it - which we can. Who knows.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2018 22:38:39
Boyata was as good as any of our defenders today .
Funny we had another player referred to as " bombscare " Ambrose .
Ambrose is now at Hibs and is regarded by good judges as one of the best centre backs in Scotland, not at Celtic .
Some Celtic fans destroyed Ambrose confidence and it seems they are beginning to do the same to Boyata .
Remember both players have one thing in common ( both centre halves ) .

Young Tierney picked up a calf strain and will be out until end of March.
In a way a blessing in disguise as he has played more games than anybody else.
He will also miss the 2 Scotland games, so will get a well deserved break hail hail.

A hink he injured himself down Coatbridge main Street celebrating St Patricks day. Seen a picture of him up the columba club, av injured myself coming out of there before after a few pints, stairs are an absolute joke. 😂😂.

18 Mar 2018 12:00:33
The team will really miss his presence, as he is involved in nearly every move, but I agree he is due a wee break and fortunately we have almost a full squad back fit to do the business while he watches and sings along with the rest of us.

Agree2 Disagree1

19 Mar 2018 13:10:12
Agree Tim. although it’s never good when a player gets injured, I think KT more than anyone deserves a rest! Get away and recharge the batteries for the run in! Wondering who will come in at left back today, maybe big compper? Heard he’s played there before! Or maybe young miller. like to see a few changes today, freshen it up a bit! My team would be
Bain
Lustig
Ajer
Hendry
Compper

Brown
Armstrong

Roberts
Rogic
Sinclair

Edouard

Think that will be more than enough to pick up 3 points and get some game time for some players.

Morning all from sunny Tenerife, arrived here yesterday and while on the Bus transfer to the hotel my nephew phoned to say Sevco got beat.
Obviously I couldn't stop laughing, but best of all the party next me where raging. One of the guys heard me speaking and said
"I'm no gone oot the night" his wife (could have been his sister) replied " will you straighten your face, am no putting up way this grap, I've had it all week"
Well folks I hope for his sake he stayed in, there where Celtic tops everywhere last night.
A nice wee win today would top off the weekend perfect.
2-0 today, McGregor and Dembelle.
