Former Rangers stars such as Barry Ferguson, Nacho Novo and ex-manager Graeme Souness have been warned they could be hit with multi-million tax bills.

HMRC are extending their probe to all players, bosses and directors who benefited from Employment Benefit Trusts.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It's only logical that HMRC would pursue the individuals in this case for it was a no-brainer that they would get hee-haw from the over obstructed process of the last couple of months,pucker up tax dodgers,and kiss your fortunes goodbye !!

Agree1 Disagree0

I always wondered if this might end up landing at the door of the beneficiaries.Still,there all big rangers men im sure they wont mind handing over the cash for the good of the club?..........green khedi

Green Jhedi, and don't forget Gordon Smith said he would work for NOTHING, let's see how all this "loyalty" pans out Timalloy

all ex bears everywhere ....
The Cry was don't Suspend Us...

Also Mrs T baked me an SPL cake today with NO CURRENTS in it LOL Timalloy

Believable5 Unbelievable0

A dont think it was as good as mine toally , , tedbear

How about...

hello hello we where the billy boys,
hello hello you knew us by our noise,
we were up to our knees in ebt's,
surrendered then we died,
cause we where the silly billy boys.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about you hate our club more than you love your own club , dont kno if its a song but its a fact , tedbear {Ed007's Note - What club is that Ted? My mammy always brought me up not to speak ill of the dead. We will see if this brand new club is going to be a challenge to us, but it has some catching up to do, we have a 125 years of a head start.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly Ed...'We Welcome The Chase' lol. {Ed007's Note - Mind The Gap....

Agree0 Disagree0

Tedbear, you can get your family to study rangers as a HISTORY PROJECT lol Timalloy

Agree1 Disagree0

You can all say it until your blue in the face , oops , the history stays , like it or not , tedbear {Ed007's Note - You're right Ted, the history stays, in history. Did you find any links about Leeds going into liquidation BTW?}

Agree0 Disagree0

The new leeds reformed 2007 ed , the history stays with them as far as leeds and the english fa are concerned mate , but am sure you knew that anyway , tedbear {Ed007's Note - When were Leeds liquidated Ted? It's a simple enough question.....

Agree0 Disagree1

@tedbear; time you cuddled up to mummy bear for a good cry.Its over.............green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed check my posts mate , i never mentioned liquidation once , someone questioned if as a newco they could still use rangers in their name as a newco , a knew leeds had reformed , i never said the word liquidation in any post mate , check it out , tedbear {Ed007's Note - You compared the Leeds situation to Rangers. Rangers will be liquidated, Leeds never were so there is absolutely NO comparison.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Its just startin mate , we,ll no be long , tedbear {Ed007's Note - A wise man once said 'This is not the end, it is just the beginning'. He went on and won the SPL title the following year, watched as his club's greatest rivals imploded into extinction and wrote himself into pub quiz folklore for the question 'Who was CFC manager during Rangers last year of existence in 2012?'}

Agree0 Disagree0

If you find it ed you can bar me mate lol , tedbear

{Ed007's Note - Is this it..........You compare Rangers to Leeds.....

17 Jun 2012 23:32:29

The Rangers FC is now a limited company and not a plc Now this is the bit Im not sure about if Charles Green wants to have a share issue to raise capital will he need to change again to a PLC and if so will that mean another name change

Im pretty sure that there is a law regarding defunct companies trading again with a name too similar to the original company.When you consider same colours(i presume),same ground(again presuming) and a name very close to the original,something seems strange.........green jhedi

Do you mean like leeds utd and fiorentina , who are now called leeds utd and fiorintina , away and lie dooon , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Totally different scenarios and totally different countries/rules.}

Englands the same ed , look it up mate , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Leeds were never liquidated though, look that up, and Italian law doesn't cover Scotland.}

It was a newco according to doncastor who couldn,t understand all the fuss over newcos as it was done at leeds , he was drawing comparisons ed , what about the family buisness you mentioned yesterday , same premises same name above the door but different company , a think it would be a huge own goal still to use the name rangers if it couldn,t be done , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Leeds were never liquidated, Papa Smurf saved them at the last minute. You show me anything that says Leeds were liquidated..... Ken Bates done what Craig Whyte done when he bought Rangers, it was a different company that bought the club, there is no club left for anyone to buy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a comparison , leeds wer a newco and kept their name as did rangers , jedi i think it was questioned that and thats what started the debate on it , anyway an early start the mora so am away tae dream about THE RANGERS , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Leeds are not and never have been a newco, they were never liquidated!!!!!!!!!! Rangers will be liquidated, that is the difference.}

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Ed Wimbeldon were liquidated. perhaps he should read up on them

i do hope spl chairmen do the right thing and dont let new **** in league,as much as i enjoy beating them they have been cheating for years and cost us titles and champions league football.as they say sporting integrity must come come into it we as a club have paid our bills and lived within our means they didnt and must be punished by spl as they have already got away with 50million worth of debt

18 Jun 2012 17:58:43
Desperate for this 'Box 13' - sorry club 12 farce to end and we can concentrate on The Celtic and the Transfer Window going into the new season.
However, with the latest decision to deal with those 'dual contract' shenanigans, it will probably be a while until this sorry shame is put to bed - for good. Assuming the powers that be have the testis to assert proper authority and not pass the buck as they have done with the SPL membership.
I normally don't have much time for Andy Walker (and Nicholas or Provan) on SLY, but he was correct -in my opinion - to call the SPL/SFA a joke for their poor handling of the whole case against 'Te Strangers' and having the remaining clubs do their dirty work. I can see this creating a lot of bad feeling with all the clubs, between pressure of voting for/against and the opportunity to create a power battle within the SPL.
Whatever the verdict, the guilty party has aseem quite happy to do as much damage as possible in their wake without an ounce of remorse or hint of apology for any wrong-doing.
Arrogance in the first degree - your honour.

Jungle JIm

Believable2 Unbelievable0

The SFA and SPL will come out of this whole mess badly no matter what the conclusion. They have lurched from one disaster to the next over the handling of it all. I have zero confidence in them and would not be suprised if a few resignations are 'forced'.

If TRFC would like to be considered favourably for the club 12 slot, the least they could say is 'PLEASE' instead if issuing threats ~ Mrs E

I hear the rangers are looking to call them selfs S Club7. ;) how ya ed? Am hoping Ireland can get abit of pride back tonight. Although we have lost our 2 games I still enjoyed the euros. Great to see our flag flying from houses and cars. Come on you bhoys in green. Bigirishmac {Ed007's Note - It would be good if they could get a bit of pride back, especially against the Italians. I hate their league and national team with a passion.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

ED007, BigIrishMac, Come on You Bhoys in Green.....
Do you remember the Scotland England 5-1 game at wembley, tartan army are like the Irish, friendly, drunk and always singing, on that day after the fifth English goal went in the Tartan army to a man sang" We'll support you up to FOUR" Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Bit before my time that mate. Mrs E went down to that for her 40th I think she said on here.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I managed to sneak through the turnstiles that day, main turnstile was easy but there was a second gate and i had to just run right through it. I put in a lot more effort than the scotland team and was glad i hadnt paid to watch that. alan Ball gave the scotland fans the v and had to run from a hail of bottles at the tunnel at the end. It was a nasty day all round.

Agree1 Disagree0

There for my 40th indeed Ed007 lol. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Are you allowed books in the old folk's home Mrs? You should read 50 Shades of Grey, all the women are talking about it. You will be little Mrs Popular at Thursday's tea dance if you have that sitting next to your knitting ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha, very good Ed...I'm impressed you know of this book. A committee meeting has been called, some of the other residents (not me) have suggested that we have a 'red room of pain'. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - It would amaze you what I know Mrs! But I don't want to step on Wee Pat's toes! If you want to do an audio-book version I am sure a few of the guys would buy that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh the thought of wee Pat's interpretation of it lol

Men should buy it anyway and learn a thing or 10...we'll leave it at that :-) Mrs E {Ed007's Note - I'll wait for the film...... we'll leave it at that :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh No...not the film, they will have to make that suitable for viewing. You will learn so much more from the book. Just saying lol Mrs E
{Ed007's Note - Gee thanks lol. Way to boost a guy's confidence there!!}

were missing a trick here ...we can afford 10million, buy rangers then we can lease the ground back and hold them back financially for ever more. ...Not that they have done them themselves

then they would always be our ...'Bitch'

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Seeing how they had to spend millions and cheat and steal just to beat us by a point or two tells me that they already viewed themselves as our bitches.
i find it really funny in that after spending so much to the point where they had to liq they could one beat us by a couple points,lol, and i think there timing at folding is good timeing for them because it already looked like we were going to dominate for the nest few years to come, maybe liq was there way of saving themselves from us hammering them.
