Cheer for a goal and then oh no wait for a computer to tell us if its a legal goal or not?

The offside decisions are maniacal (if that's a word lol) , how can your big toe, armpit or even your nose be offside?

Look the offside law was NOT introduced for guys to be offside by a toe.
If 2 players (attacker and defender) are running together and both are in line it is absolutely impossible for a bit of their anatomy not be ahead of the other.
No matter where u freeze it one or the other will have a shoulder, nose or toe fractionally ahead, and we WANT TO CALL THIS OFFSIDE?
Absolute lunacy.

Would you got to a show or cinema where they advertise for less laffs, less car chases, less scary bits, ofcourse not so why are we doing it to football.

I think it should only be used where there has been an obvious miscarriage of 'justice', as in that Frank Lampard goal in the south African world cup, anything that happened so fast in real time that the ref or linesman had no chance of picking up on it should be ignored, if the linesman had been doing his job that Frank Lampard goal would have been given it was so obvious, but these offside decisions where we are only talking about inches should be ignored, same goes for questions about if the foul happened inside or outside the box, if its not an obvious mistake just go with the ref, . Don't let the teams call for VAR intervention, let the the VAR monitor person bellow in the refs ear if there has been a mistake, none of this teams calling for VAR,

its not just a computer.
There is a panel of experts (aye right) sitting in a studio maybe 100+miles away making the decision.
VAR I am for but it should be the onfield ref viewing and making the decision.
The review should be shown on the big screens for the PAYING customers to see as well (just like rugby) and the ref then decides
Open and above board. oh wait, this si Scotland and we don't do that up here.

At the least it undermines officials and it can also be contradictory because it is based on human opinion/ interpretation - not just video.
Offside is being stripped down to a bootlace or sock thickness, but it's other aspects like handball, or violent intent where one man's perception can differ from another.
When it comes to the SPL it will create (even more) pandemonium.
