"Daviet, there is no may be about it mate, you are in the minority"

Aye, but the emphasis was surely on my second paragraph! lol

Seriously, there's rivalry and then there's just being a d***. Why wouldn't I want your team to do well? Scottish, co-efficients, and all that.

Just keep reading that second paragraph!

@paddybhoy. LOL!

And I appreciate I may be in a blue minority here, but I ALWAYS want Celtic to do well.

But not TOO well, you understand. I mean, not as well as us. . and not winning stuff. . lol

Benbhoy, there is no way i could want hearts to win the league, they are nearly as bad as rangers, i would choose pumping hearts to the title on goal difference like 86, and showing our charitable side by saving rangers, then later on we could ask for clarifacation on a few decisions, get our lawyers on the case, and get rangers relegated retrospectively,
SIMPLES!

To Ben bhoy & Georgie11, I sort of touched on something similar a while back (Rangers page maybe). If Rangers managed to fluke/ bore their way to a European final and were up against an English side, who would I want to win? I'm not sure I know the answer. I always want the Scottish team to win in Europe (even Rangers. .as long as they don't win the thing!). But if they're up against an English team, I'd want the Scottish team to win. As long as it's not Rangers! But I'd always want the Scottish team to beat the English team. . .Aaaaagggghhhhh! It's doing my head in!

I would always want success for my club rather than than the demise of its rival. I would rather see Rangers win the league than Celtic relegated. It would be funny to see Celtic relegated but I will always prefer to see my team being successful. Also, if either of them did get relegated the spl would be alot lesser off as a result. The old firm games are by far the biggest games of the year; even if teams like aberdeen or hearts are strong the biggest attraction for fans are the old firm games.

Good thought out answer there. Just the sort of thing I was hoping for rather than the usual juvenile pish that starts a pointless argument.
Personally, I'm split. The same as you, I thrive on seeing my team win things. But at the same time, when the old firm monopolise the league and trophys are a dead cert, it would be great to see your boys go down. Even just for a season. Just so we can say you did. Would make some excellent banter. . Unless it was your own team that went down. I would imagine that would be a hellish torment.
Anyone else got any thoughts on it?

This will never happen but stay with me a minute. Picturethe following scenario.
Last game of the season, we're 1 point behind hearts at the top of the table and rangers fighting relegation. Hearts play rangers. If hearts win, they win the league and rangers go down. If they draw or lose, we win the league and rangers stay up. What result would you want. And vice vesra if a win for us meant rangers won the league and we stay up, but if we lose, they don't win the league but we are relegated.
Same question to gers fans
