This is turning into the Scott Brown testimonial match, I hope we let Hearts know.

If Broony starts he will do us proud. Yes he's been off it in games but he has also dragged us through games as well. Captain, leader, legend.

Scott Brown should not start ahead of Turnbull or Soro. He should be brought on as a sub to lift trophy if we win.

I think Broony still has enough in the tank. But I do like Soro totally different player than Brown likes to move the ball quick a lot of touch and go it took Broony a while to master that side of the game. I don't think Soro has or will ever have the engine Broony had in the last 10 years he plays in the centre of the pitch building play really clever player reminds me on Landry Nguemo we had a while back only time will tell if he has the heart to do it week in week out. Id play them both and drop Christie. Play McGregor in the 10 4-2-3-1
onwards and upwards HH.

It's time to phase him out (past it, actually) but he starts on Sunday looking at the groups in training.

19 Dec 2020 10:06:44
i think broony should be shown a lot more respect that has been shown by some celtic supporters, he wold run through a back wall for our club and i certainly wouldn't say he's past it he still has a big part to play this season while i totally agree that soro has lifted the team with his energy he's a fantastic young player and from what i hear is a good character and very well liked among the players i think it was far to much to be asking broony to be playing the games he was 3 a week and that will always show at some point that its to much as for me is showing with mcgregor and he's probably the fittest at the club, so anyway a bit more respect for our captain and my god what a captain he is.

When Sevco play Ross County on the weekend of the League Cup Semi Finals they will both become the only 2 top flight clubs who’ve played in every scheduled league game with no cancellations due to C. V and cup games.
Celtic will have their 5th league game of the season cancelled the same weekend.

This is just one of the many factors that have hindered us so far; but as long as we build up some momentum, confidence and consistency, we can still turn it around.

Good job we've missed 5 games. We wouldn't have taken 15 points.

Celtic won our first and only rearranged game away to St. Mirren.
It’s a start.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 19:14:27
Sevco have a hard run of games coming up. After their Motherwell they have St Johnstone A.
Hibs H
St Mirren A
Celtic H
Aberdeen A
Motherwell A. Whilst we have a good chance to go on a winning run.
Hearts Hampden
Ross County H
Hamilton A
D United H
Orcs A
Hibs H
Livingston H and Away
We just need to chip away at their lead game after game until we can play our games in hand. The League Table will look better by the end of January so plenty patience required.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 19:37:28
Celtic are not making it easy for ourselves by asking for the Hibs game in January to be played on the Monday night because it stops ourselves from playing a midweek rearranged fixture.
Then there’s news that we will have another league game cancelled due to the Semi Finals and Sevco will play a league game that weekend.
That will be us into February and we’re no better off.
Then February starts with another midweek scheduled league game.
It will then be the middle of February and Celtic will still have 3 games in hand.
We will have one month to squeeze these games in before the International midweek games start up in March.
I was hoping that come February will would’ve caught up in games played.
Instead we will still have the same amount of 3 games in hand on our rivals.
I’m hoping it will be our biggest comeback since 1979 when Celtic were sitting 3rd bottom in March but we won our games in hand to claim the title.

Optimistic but we’re still weak at the back! Hopefully we have a good run but it’s hard to see it. Hail Hail. I’m missing going to Celtic park with my boys.

Ed007, do you know if there's anything in the stories regards Man Utd's Jesse Lingard or Mark Mackenzie from the US and A or am I falling for the old click bait yet again.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't be surprised to see us sign Mark McKenzie as we've been tracking him for months along with his team mate Brenden Aaronson who will probably move to Germany in the near future.
I'd say the Jesse Lingard stuff is - like him as a player - a load of muck 😁

18 Dec 2020 13:19:21
Cheers Ed, I'd be happy with that.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's also English & German interest in McKenzie but we've already spoken to Philadelphia Union and the player's representatives during the summer which has hopefully given us the edge.}

18 Dec 2020 13:29:31
The boy Aaronson is a serious talent German clubs are really taking advantage of the MLS market.

Aaronson is away to Salzburg Ed. I remember seeing footage of him when we were linked and thought it was too good to be true. Your prediction of a move to Germany is probably spot on as he'll no doubt be a Leipzig player in a year or two lol.

Ed, I remember you saying on the last day of the window we could potentially go for a RW. With a couple of months passed and James Forrest much closer to fitness, do you think or know if RW will be a priority? I'd like to see it even if Forrest was fit tbh.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know about it being a priority but I do think there will be a RW brought in next month, possibly Atsu or QPR's Bright Osayi-Samuel

No atsu ed but the QPR boy looks the part.

@jfp I know the song well but why wouldn’t you be allowed to say the h-block song on here? I love Derry mate I’ve been over a couple of times myself. Stayed with a friend of a friend and the first time a met him he handed me a key to his house, the people there are the salt of the earth. Stayed next door to the Celtic bar but spent most of our time in the bogside inn. I haven’t been over for nearly 20 years but I’d love to go back and see the place.

Steph I thought the title would be a bit sensitive so danced around it but one of the best songs ever written and ‘the bully taunts the brave’ most be one of the best lines ever penned. Francie Brolly was a teacher and a Derry legend. A great man. We sometimes stay in the Abbey B&B in the heart of the Bogside just round from the Bog Inn which is highly recommended albeit not for everybody. We now usually stay with friends just across the British border in Donegal 10 minutes away. British politicians continually refer to an Irish Border in the context of BREXIT but I don’t know where that is! You’re 100% spot on and couldn’t agree more the people are the absolute salt of the earth despite being forever denied economic opportunities by the powers that be. I often think that’s part of the reason. I was over in West Belfast at summer but I’m really missing my trip over this year but hopefully next year I can have myself a Derry Derry Christmas. You should take a trip over I will do as soon as we’re released from house arrest in Airdrie.

So if Lennon wants to reward the players who got us to a cup which reached last season. So that means he is given players like Natcham, Eduard who have let him and the club down this season by not turning up for games.

Christi who wants to leave the club. For me he needs to start working on his crosses before he moves on. And Brown personally I can't say a bad word about Brown only that his legs are gone. Id stick with a winning team and bring them on if we are winning the game. Loyalty works both ways Mr Lennon.

Ps who will he start in goal Bain is from last year and we can't play him because I bet you Gordon wil outplay him to prove a point Point Hazard must be in goal for me.

Forster was bain man so go with young hazard would be good experience for him.

After he and certain players got us into such a mess in the first place - disgraced in Europe, dropping SPL points and surrendering a trophy - he should be showing appreciation to those who seem to have started the improvement that possibly saved his job.
I have to add that Eddy has done absolutely nothing all season to merit automatic selection these days - best striker or not.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 11:32:49
Who would u play instead of eddy? Klimala is brutal, griff and ajeti need to shift about a stone. Eddy is a big game player who will win us the cup.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - All Eddy needs is his sharpness back and a goal for his confidence. He had a good few chances last week and was unlucky with the volley and then the stramash on the Kilmarnock goal line.}

18 Dec 2020 13:57:53
To be fair to eddy the service he’s been getting has been dire. Christie and laxalt can’t get by the first defender when crossing, his goals will go up if Taylor can replicate his performance v killie and turnbull stays in the team.

Here is my choices for the Ianuary transfer window.
Issa Diop at West Ham not getting a game and played along side Julien at Toulouse. A loan would be great

Moussa Dembele in a swap deal for Edourd and Ntcham I know a huge chance but he is out of favour at Lyon and with some imaginative financing a deal may be possible

With a right winger coming in to help out untill Forrest is fit. someone with real pace

If Hazard is the long term solution to the goalkeeping position so be it if though ne has not been really tested. If not Foster

Any player who wants to leave can.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2020 08:51:38
