Is it correct scottish football are not signed up for financial fair play. I think the smaller nations are not in it due to not as much money in those leagues. Its more for the top 5 leagues.
If that's right you would think the scottish league would get involved due to previous cheating.
Back in 2012 doncaster said all the clubs were going to sit round the table and come up with a tighter FFP plan. I don't think that meeting went well.

The company/ club have made losses year after year. DK claimed their the envy of world football due to their finances😂😂 That's one of his best.

19 Dec 2018 13:09:42
Blow all their income and get loans to pay players wages. More loans than the entire league put together. no chance FFP will ever come in as it's purely to the benefit of one club not having it thay have to cheat to try keep up with us.

I believe they will continue to borrow as much as possible to try and stop the 10 in a row. Once we get the 10 they will go into liquidation.
This time they have been cute, by keeping the club and company as separate entities.
I think what would happen is the club will stay in the top flight and get a points reduction.
The company will go into liquidation and they will start over again debt free.
Scottish football league and association will do anything to stop us winning 10 in a row and I blame them as much as sevco, because they are part of the cheating.
It is a rigged league.

Not Celtic related but I'm really chuffed to see that Nottingham Forest have put out a statement trying to get in touch with the Derby supporter who was subjected to abuse by a Forest "supporter" in order to sort him out with a VIP experience at the next game between the 2 clubs. Top class!

For those who don't know the back story, the scumbag took a video mocking a young guy who appears to possibly have learning difficulties for wearing a Derby top in a certain area. The guy's a total coward and hopefully he gets outed on Twitter soon.

Seen the video disgusting. Belittling the young yin for his own fun.

18 Dec 2018 19:25:35
Yeah mate it was difficult to watch. It goes way by the score and can't be passed as banter. Hopefully the lad gets in touch with Forest and takes them up on those hospitality tickets.

I was brought up not to mock the afflicted. It is happening too much nowadays. God love them all.

So apparently the bold Jose when sacked from Chelsea got a £13m payoff, reports now saying Man United will give him £18m, so £31m for being sh! te at your job, what price Stevie Gee will receive lol.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2018 17:51:09
Not really Jose's fault Tim. These clubs offer him long deals on mega bucks, maybe now other clubs will think twice before employing the wee t! t.

18 Dec 2018 18:54:23
Heard it was 24 million fae man Utd. But thunk it's pushing it to say he's rubbish at his job.

Stevie G has his team top of the league after just 4/ 5 months of football, time to accept there is a title race on and if we continue to be inconsistent then this race will go all the way. Time for some of us to wake up!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 20:03:56
Jazz there is no title race on, don't believe the hype. We have often been in this position at this time of the season over the last 7 seasons. We will win the league again by a minimum of 10 points.

Agree3 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 20:21:29
Sorry Stevie, I agree with Jazz but it’s not a two horse race. Kilmarnock will be there or thereabouts as well. I’m surprised at Hibs as I thought they might be in the mix. Without being arrogant, I think we’ll have enough to win it but we will need to fight for it.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 20:44:06
Correct stevie and there's always someone on here saying there's a title race. I fully expect to win the league with a bit to spare, when our rivals bottle it we'll just keep ploughing on. A couple of key signings in January will hopefully see us compete against valencia and hopefully beyond.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 20:57:49
Steph, go look at the table and you'll see there is title race on and don't get me started on transfer windows, unless you've been in hiding for a number of years key signings and celtic don't marry very well.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 21:15:26
So Jazz did you think there was a title race on in the Ronny years when it was close up until January? Were you wetting your panties last season when it was relatively close in April? If you can't see we are the best team in Scotland by a country mile I despair. The best team in the league wins the league and that's why we"ll comfortably be champions again.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 21:38:17
Stevie, all I see is what the league table shows, if you can predict the future then drop me some bonus ball numbers please. Your probably thinking all will be fine as there is a transfer window coming, the realists know different however and without a doubt in my mind the club will let us all down again.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 21:40:55
Sorry Jazz, you started off ok but now you’ve resorted to talking pish. We’ve won 7 trophies on the bounce so I’m not buying the transfer window nonsense. We’ve got the strongest squad in Scotland by miles so I can’t understand how that happened if we’re as poor as you and James Traynor would have us believe. I do think there is a title race but it’s one that we are well capable of winning if we work hard at it.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 21:55:05
We will win the league, no doubt. As for new signings, don’t hold your breath. A few last minute freebies or cheap imitations are likely- ala Hendry, Hayes, Morgan Mulumbo. No offence to either but Celtic class 1st team players - never will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 22:18:33
Those guys are squad players which we need but what about Edourd and Benkovic? Are they not ‘Celtic class’?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 22:40:21
Along with Scott Alan, Benyu, Doris, Compper, That's 8 for starter's. Im sure over the next 2 windows many will be gone.3 centre Half's to replace Compper, Boyata and Berkovic. A Right back, A box to box midfielder and 2 forwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 23:07:01
Agree with Hayes and Hendry Chinks but still have hope for Morgan he might do a Christie if we put him out on loan for a season, as for Mulumbo don't know what's happened here think he must have an attitude problem. Would add Gamboa, Allan, Benyu and maybe Kouassi (showed glimpses so far) to the list of not Celtic class.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 23:12:52
As stevie says it's been close in December plenty of times an we always finish stronger because we have the biggest and best squad which is why we will win the league. Kilmarnock will hit a tough spell, look at hearts at the start, u can't honestly tell me u never seen their arse collapsing before it did, hibs are good but they can't sustain it which is why they're down the table, Aberdeen are serial bottlers, now onto the huns, they're pish and u know it, they won't finish second as usual.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Dec 2018 10:15:36
Just my thoughts but what a difference a couple of weeks can make before the hibs game we tore the in form killie apart at a canter and everything was rosy now we're back to square 1 but I think we will comfortably win our next 4 games (motherwell dundee aberdeen and sevco) I don't think anyone else in the league is capable of doing this so we would find our selves going into the break top with a wee cushion looking forward to another European night and hopefully bringing a few quality players so I for 1 am planning a very happy festive period.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Dec 2018 12:03:45
I don't know why after every defeat people think there is a serious title race on, once the winter break is over I expect us to wrap up the league without any problems.
And yes I also see us making a few quality signings in Jan, the board won't make the same mistake again especially after Brendan said he wasn't happy with our dealings in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2018 15:30:45
Jazz get the hands oot. taa daa Title race. There is a race for the title but only one team is winning that honour. As for a title race NO! Did you think there was title race when Aberdeen were on our tails or heading the table? They went unbeaten at that start of one season I remember, still nobody expected a title race. So in your eyes you see Sevco as a threat and possible title winners that is what you are saying! You must be smoking some strong stuff if that is what you believe, hey anything is possible this just isn't going to happen. as much as you might really wish it! ;)

Just seen a belter on the Sevie page " see Rapid got Inter in the draw, shame would of been good to see Ronaldo at Ibrox"😂😂 I'm sure the asbestos at the Crumbledome is affecting their brains.

Hopefully it will be good for us to concentrate only on the next 9 league games before we play valencia. Airdrie should look after itself in between.
6 of those league games are at home, so let's hope we can go on a run.
Its been quite tough on the team, having to play all 6 games after europe away from Celtic park.

18 Dec 2018 10:25:39
If we can win the next 9 or 10 I think we'd pull away from the pack.

18 Dec 2018 10:36:51
I said before that the December fixtures could not have been more difficult - if they were handpicked; - not only the opponents, but the timing and schedule of venue.
The injuries have also been a hindrance, but we are still in a great position to go into the break back on top and I also read that KT, Rogic and Christie are all back in training.

Agree3 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 13:03:56
That's just it OAB they was handpicked as they always are conveniently difficult games after the European game weeks. Has been for years.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2018 15:05:54
December is always torture for fixtures coming thick and fast, a nice wee run now for the rest of the month with a bit of style will see us pull away from the rest then we can really stretch our lead in January.

18 Dec 2018 08:22:08
Think it's imperative we get our recent regulars back fit and fresh for the sheep and Sevie games. If we can have Tierney Lustig Boyota Christie Rogic back fit and fresh we will stroll both games. Think Boyota might be only doubt to make it. We should have enough to beat M'well and Dundee in our next two home games without those guys🤞Going to Pittodrie and the Crumble dome with Sunday's squad would have me worried.

Boyata training and boss says he's in contention for sheep and sevco.

Hopefully if he plays he'll be fit and focused. Wasn't he just back in the team from injury when he had that howler against them?

With the whole lack of strikers situation going on just now I would like to see Jack Aitchison come into the squad and get a bit of game time to see what he can do.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2018 13:07:23
Agree or sent out on loan. Rather than send on 3 wingers to change the game why not send Jack on to try get us goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Aitchison is miles away from being anywhere near the level required even for our bench. The Celtic staff were far from impressed by the reports from Dumbarton too hence him lasting about 6 weeks of his 6 month loan.}

18 Dec 2018 14:16:57
Is it his level of play ed or is it an attitude problem or injury prone. The few times l saw him he looked a good young player for the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - To be honest I'm not too sure and wouldn't like to speculate on it - but remember he's a young lad that only lost his dad in January. I was very surprised we sent him out on loan as I thought he would have been better being around his (team)mates and staff he knows etc.}

18 Dec 2018 17:28:33
Cheers Ed. Your are spot on there. Poor lad sorry to hear that. He has time on his hands and hopefully good guidance and support at Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I was 37/38 when my dad died, it knocked the stuffing out of me and I still miss him every day, I can't imagine how horrible it would be to lose a parent at such a young age.}
