There has been no significant change in coaching and tactics, from the 'NL experience' and he is also showing blind faith in guys that are rank rotten and constantly under-performing - even a captain who has one eye on a new job. It typifies the shambles that has been Celtic FC since September last year and the incompetence, disharmony and lack of professionalism right through the club. If I can also add that when a club has a monumental season ahead, why did we bring in so many half-hearted and stop-gap loans and fail to address the gaping lack of quality in key areas during both 'windows' with proper class players? There is no getting away with the culpability of the players in all of this, but things could have been different if we hadn't just crossed our fingers and hoped for the best, instead of prompt, drastic action.

Hello my friends Enrico sat quietly this week hoping for a positive result today and it never happened.
It has been really disappointing to see a great teams run come to and end like this season has.
Watching players leave Paradise Dembele KT Sinky Gordon Foster Hayes Jozo Lustig Armstrong Boyata . Replaced by inferior players or some not replaced at all.
From the days of skelping and warnings of not to fall sleep at the wheel it has saddens Enrico enormously.
My friends you know I liketo stay positive but performances like today's is just shocking.

This isn't this season . our custodians have a long and disgraceful history of letting the support down. its like a dark default for them. every time since Lisbon we go into pole position they give it away . weirdly this season it wasn't underfunding but overfundong on duds which seems to be the new biscuit tin model . and sorry for the guy this offended before but don't be so easily offended . be more offended by the crap our glorious leaders consistently offer us up. from the start of this season with the toney saga to nl burying his head in the sand to the obvious problems . to the boards inaction to correct that problem . this has been a disaster we havw all seen unfold . but no one at the helm seen the iceberg. from a minor tweek to a now major overhaul I hope they get right .

The day for me was the worst defeat of the season because of the lack of hunger we showed in a must win game . I was one who slated Lennon and I still think I was justified to do so but the players need a good look at themselves I couldn't care if none of them are there next season to be honest . Apart from turnbull who do we build around most of the team are either loans or wanting out ? It's been negligence from top to bottom a complete disaster not caring how much standards have dropped because we where still winning while not being able to see what the bigger picture was .

Next season, will be better, the new manager, who ever he is, will be able to pick a team, and set the tactics, and formation without being hamstrung by having to include certain players in said team, just because they have to be in the team.

Hello all, new to forum although I've followed site for a few years now and decided to post.
I wasn't confident about getting a result before game as I've felt as though we have been really lacking in quality in full back positions as well as striker. Then there is all the unstability of constantly changing shape of formation. A standard 4-4-2 would of made a difference today.
Laxalt and Kenny are woeful, once again they were found to be out their depth. Edouard has been too hot and cold this season but I don't think its all down to him. He can't play lone striker, needs someone upfront with him.
Taylor should always start before Laxalt and to be honest is Kenny any better than Ralston?

Welcome dnn38. Kenny was woeful but not as bad as Ralston. Ralston shouldn't even be on the bench. Taylor is a good player but for the standard I want Celtic to be at I would prefer for him to be a backup LB. I would have started Taylor over Laxalt but going forward we need a starting LB and RB who can defend and attack. Taylor has no turn of pace or a trick up his sleeve. Tidy player but I'm looking for more from a Celtic fullback.

I am astonished at what's gone on this season. i can't remember how many times I've said "that game sums up our season " yet here we go I'm saying it again.
Fragile at the back and shockingly ineffective up front . christie has something but just not good enough . Let's face it a rogic with an engine gets on in his place 99/ 100.mcgregor I'm sorry is a shadow of a player we once saw. brown still has quality why an earth we havny tried to coach him into defence is beyond me
, especially when we tried the back 3.we have missed forest and he is guy that has also been posted missing when needed. il buy my season ticket with hope of seeing some decent fresh blood .

With the money spent on Barkas, Duffy, Boli, Ajeti, Klimala we could and should have signed 3 or 4 players that would have made the difference . Missing Toney for Ajeti over £2m - £3m is not on. Broony for me, is the main reason for this shambles of a season, he should have been nowhere near the starting line up, once Soro was signed, and hopefully for the remaining games of this season, he will be confined to the bench, I understand why Gerard was quoted as saying, that he will miss Scott Brown in the old firm games, because he knows what Scott brings to a game these days, and he knows how to use it to his advantage.

The guy is learning his trade and has a good reputation coaching. that's like saying an apprentice is stealing a wage learning his trade. Kennedy has stepped in to fill the void and is doing the best he can under extenuating circumstances. Taking over a job of this magnitude even temporarily for a first time manager while moral is at an extreme low is a thankless task. But it's easy enough to spew out any garbage without giving it a second thought.

Although I read every day I've not posted for several years. (Generally too shy to express opinions)
After today's inept performance I thought I'd have to give it a go again.
My question, How in has it all unravelled so quickly and where do we go from here?
In my opinion we have too many (loan signings) not at the required level too many simply wanting to be elsewhere and the rest regressing when presented with a challenge. The effort and overall display of Eddy culminating in the abject penalty an example.
The decision made in the showers a couple of years back was the catalyst for this decline. To let a club run by shysters overtake us in such spectacler fashion is down to the board with probably DD and PL more culpable.
Anyway, moving forward, our new CEO has a big job on his hands. We need a manager who's going to stick around for a few years and bring some stability. We need new players scouted and brought in ASAP as there is too much at stake next season. We need to get show the mob across the river that this was merely a blip and we're as motivated as them.
I'll leave at that just now but hope to become more involved moving forward. Ranting a bit due to the lager!
Keep up the great work Ed and regular posters. Perhaps I'll pluck up the courage soon to dip into the podcast.

Hail Hail Bhoys, only 3rd post in 5 years but just frustrated. Ok so where do we start? We need a keeper, someone who wins games, we've had 2 in my lifetime and I genuinely think that in Boruc and Forster in 40 odd years. We need 2 full backs and at least 1 centre half, I'd love to keep Ajer, for me he has been the only 1 who has stood up and been counted this season he would be my captain by a million miles. Today, when his shoulder went, if that was Julien he'd have been off, or Moi or anyone else. So Ajer and Welsh who deserves a chance. Turnbull and Soro and Forrest in midfield, not automatic starters by any means but worthy of a chance. I genuinely hope that Calmac gets sold, he has been awful this season and has lived off 2 decent years for me, absolutely overrated I truly believe. I wanted him punted after they beat us on penalties and of course it shows I know nothing, but for me I could count on about 2 fingers what he has done since Rodgers left. Out of our strikers, well maybe Griff but only a maybe. And that's pretty much it. Anyone feel free to tell me where I'm wrong? Maybe Moi if the price is right, nobody French, ability they are 10 out of 10 but fight and attitude they are like the dutch, absolutely rubbish. Get rid of 1st team coaches and start with McKay, then Harkin, then make a statement with a manager and back him. That mob ain't all that, they have been very consistent in the league but they have been up against nothing. So so disappointing. I knew this would end but not in the way it has.

Griff - I don’t understand how anyone can genuinely want this clown to stay. Yes he had issues, the club helped him through and he repaid the club with being unprofessional and out of shape. The fact he wasn’t moved on in July/ August shows how weak our management is.
A good win against Livingston fools no one this team needs 90% of the players moved on and quality signings to work with youth.
We laughed last year at the Rangers collapse, my god our collapse this season is on a grander scale.

Eddy is still by far our best forward player at the club.
It’s been said all season that Edouard is better with someone behind him.
Too often Edouard gets the ball at his feet and there’s not another Celtic player anywhere near him.
Eddy likes his flicks and one two’s but we need to get other Celtic players close to Eddy, to get the best out of him.

After the Livingston game I was optimistic we would win today, but missing JF was not the only drawback as the persistence with Eddy and Christie, while also dropping Taylor were very poor decisions IMO. Trophy-less for the first season in a decade or so, by our own short comings, poor decisions and complacency from Boardroom to dressing room; resulting in far too many awful performances and bad results. There is a lot to be angry about and blame to be apportioned, but with the season dead and buried, the club can make, even an ounce of amends if they appoint the right men for the jobs of DOF and Manager first thing in the morning - or at their earliest convenience. This is even worse than RD's last season and it's very obvious that the managerial appointment should be at least the same caliber as was during that selection.

Kenny was found out big time, was clearly terrified by the occassion, Laxalt was very poor and beaten too easily for the second. Thankfully both are only on loan! Moi was a waste of a jersey yet again, why he's played as a striker I'll never know. Could've played all day and still not scored. A full new back line needed in the summer including a keeper. We are where we are due to poor recruitment of a manager who in turn recruited poor players. But we all knew this would be the outcome so no surprises really!

Why is eduoard still on pitch, why is he still at our club. I agree JFP. In the last couple of Glasgow Derbies, on the whole, I think we've shown we're the better 'footballing side', if you will. And I too, still believe we have the better players. However they, and their manager, have a doggedness. An ability to grind out a result, take their chances and not shoot themselves in the foot. You touch on Kennedy. I think this is a big game for him. My head already says no to him full time, my heart says "he's unbeaten and won't show what he can do until he gets the chance". He needs to show the tactical nous today.
