With Jozo out tomorrow night, I would love for gamboa to be given the nod at right back and have lusting in the center along side boyata! The thought of bitton at the heart of the defense at the alliance gives me the fear! But if that's what Rodgers thinks best who am I to argue in Brendan we trust ๐Ÿ€.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

17 Oct 2017 19:44:31
Gomboa played well at the weekend. He'd be my shout too.

17 Oct 2017 20:41:02
Gamboa gives me the fear can't defend and think young ralstons injured he'd have been my shout.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 20:53:37
Gamboa was decent on Saturday and has the pace to get us up the park and take the pressure off a little bit tomorrow which would be a big help. Bitton at CB is a no no.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 21:31:59
What about Ajer?

Agree4 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 22:06:47
Ajer would be my shout aindoh! Played well whenever called upon apart from Astanta away when he was thrown in beside Biton which was unfair on the lad imo.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 22:13:22
Aye, Ajer would be a fair call too. Seems to have have a big international game, and I know the other weggies love him so.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 23:02:09
Love the fact he dislocated his shoulder whilst playing for Norway U21s last week. Went over to the sidelines had the thing popped back in. Then got on with the rest of the game. Think with him and Boyata at the back you have 2 CBs very comfortable with the ball at their feet but will miss Simonovics aggression and the fact he is one of these players that always seem to be in the right place. Wee Tierney is going to have his work cut out against Robben but he would be my 1st choice to do so. I'll be ecstatic with a draw but still happy with a good performance regardless of result.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Oct 2017 07:39:05
Is big Eric not back training / fit? Was a good solid defender before Brendan arrived imo. Can't understand why he went down hill so quick .

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Oct 2017 07:56:42
Erik would need games before throwing him into this.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Oct 2017 08:17:57
Delbhoy seems the gaffer thinks his lack of pace is a big issue.

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Oct 2017 13:17:58
I'd go for ajer or lustig. I agree Erik won't be match sharp, his pace is an issue and I've even seen him struggle in the air against tall players. I don't think his heart is in it anymore. We have blocked him moving for a few windows now.

My Celtic X1;
Gordon, Lustig Jozo Boyata Tierney
Brown Armstrong
Roberts Rogic Sinclair
Griffiths.
So my question to all is wud
DeVries Ralston Erik Ajer Miller
Ntcham Koassi
Forrest McGregor Benyu
Dembelle
Win the league?
2nd question would any of the sevco team get in our 2nd team?
Maybe Tav as he good going forward but then again can't defend.
Alves? yep a definitely for me but that's it.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

17 Oct 2017 19:47:10
I think they would, Rayman. Benyu's not been featuring lately and I guess Hayes can play there, so yeah.

The midfield lad fae the other side might get in there over Kouasi at the moment, but I expect he'll kick on.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 20:29:56
Tav is a told bomb scare and I would have ralston over him any day. As for avles he was a player bit he's done. The bhoy fae hibs made a right mug of him.

I heard TB speaking last year about his wife asking him what he was buying into at Ibrox with all the sectarian stuff. He said it stopped him and made him think. A good guy for me that gave all for club and country and he will be in my prayers tonight as will his wife and his son. Sorry to hear the news Terry and may your son rest in peace. I'm sure the Celtic family will echoe my condolences. โ˜˜๏ธ.

Hearing jozo is out tomorrow! Really rate the big man but his injuries are a major concern for me! We need a settled centre half pairing and it's a constant problem with him! Bitton at centre back away to Bayern sends shivers down my spine!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

17 Oct 2017 16:48:15

Hi EDs any squad news hearing Lustig may not make it anything use have heard on that or anyother news?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Lustig was rested on Saturday after feeling a tweak in his calf when he came back from international duty and it was decided not to risk him against Dundee. As far as I know he is still in contention to start tomorrow night.}

17 Oct 2017 13:34:40
Cool any rumbles as to what we will do morra in terms of team same as last away game looks good for me what do u think or like to see ED?

{Ed007's Note -

--------------------Gordon-----------------
-Lustig --Simunovic---Boyata----Tierney---
--------------Brown-----Ntcham----
-Robert------------Rogic--------Sinclair-----
-------------------Griffiths-----------

Or maybe Rodgers will put Bitton sitting in front of the defence in a 4-3-3

--------------------Gordon-----------------
-Lustig --Simunovic---Boyata----Tierney---
----------Brown---Bitton-----Ntcham----
--Roberts--------Griffiths-------Sinclair----

17 Oct 2017 14:30:03
I wasn't aware that Broony was in contention - that was a pleasant surprise! Not expecting too much on Wednesday, as I don't remember us many German opponent in Europe, so any kind of result would be amazing.
However, would have preferred the Sunday cup semi final instead of Saturday lunch time - just to give us more recovery time - but there you go.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Brown has trained every day since he returned and today took part in a training session at Celtic Park, I'll be really surprised if he doesn't start tomorrow night.}

17 Oct 2017 14:45:01
I'd prefer the 4-5-1. I think they always seem more comfortable in that set up.

Agree0 Disagree4

17 Oct 2017 14:52:47
Ad go with that ed but armstrong for ntcham ir he might stick bitton behind the midfield 2 and leave rogic out.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 15:48:20
Wouldn't play Nctham, but apart from that swap with Armstrong, I think the best team picks itself.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 16:59:11
I would play Armstrong if he is fully fit, rather than Ntcham.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Oct 2017 18:18:21
Fancy forrest for a starting role tomorrow nite: he's not had much of a look in lately it seems. Big fan of Ntcham, but I think I could be persuaded that Armstrong might be a better pick right now. I hope and pray Ed's hunch about Biton is wide of the mark: it would make for a more defensive lineup than we've fielded recently for sure!

After seeing ED007's appeal for Toys, our resident ex bear Union Jack has hijacked idea and has appealed for all sevconians to donate toys to Ibrokes, a proud UJ said "this is a great chance for all us RRM to donate toys for Pedro to throw from his pram after next few defeats".

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Hoi you - for once I'm on UJ's side after he very kindly made a donation to our appeal so you just leave him alone - for now.
He didn't leave his address though so I don't know where Welshy should send his GB starter kit :)

17 Oct 2017 13:46:18
ha ha ED007 ok I will leave him alone for donating for now.
By the way if Jim White can wear a Celtic scarf on Sly sports tomorrow surely UJ could do the same and back the Bhoys in europe for Scotland's sake lol.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think that might be pushing it.}

17 Oct 2017 04:52:37
@timalloy - it might be possible if I was sedated and in a straight jacket but even then I'd probably spontaneously combust!

Its CL all the way the next 2 days and the scottish rags bereft of anything to write about sevco are going on about the league cup semi that's no till sunday if only they were in Europe. there's always corrie HH.

Got a question ed how come most other fans cheer on the tic in europe except the dark side am sick to teeth that every other team in scotland is to blame for there demise especially us? HHGH.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - for the same reason I wouldn't cheer on Man Utd in any game unless it benefitted Liverpool. What a silly question.}

17 Oct 2017 08:23:19
I know of no supporters of other clubs who cheer us on. I wouldn't expect them to either. Us winning means more resources for us to become even better. Why would they want that.

Why even bother about such a thing? Who gives a flying feck who cheers us on? We cheer us on and hope to inflict additional pain to those who want us gubbed. We already have scunnered them by beating Anderlecht away and all but securing being involved after Christmas.

It is the responsibility of brendan and Lawell to use the resources we have secured, to intensify the pain by improving the team.

Hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later.

I have to admit that I would like to see other teams from Scotland do well in Europe
I'd be happy to see Aberdeen or st Johnstone get into the Europa league group stages.
Other teams from Scotland improving is not just good for the Scottish game but good for Celtic to.

Thought Aberdeen would have done better in Europe this season Kev I was hoping they would have made the groups aswell. Wonder if the qualifying rounds come to early in season for our teams.

17 Oct 2017 13:04:51
I thought that to campsie. But looked like their bottle crashed big time.
I have always said we should move our seasons start to about a month before it starts to help our teams in qualifiers.
