To gtid.
you really do talk some nonsense, you are trying to seperate two things that are linked, on the one hand you are saying celtic should wear the poppys on their top, then in the next breath you are saying celtic shouldn't be involved in politics. You call people vile bigots if they don't agree with you, that's very ironic. I don't agree with the poppy being on a football top, and i will not give money to ex soldiers, some who have murdered innocents, so suddenly i am a charity hater, get real, you are the one who has a closed mind, you come across as a bitter little man who thinks everyone should agree with him, but you have probably been told this many times have'nt you

Bhoys drop all this poppy talk its boring, in years gone by nobody from either side bothered about it. Now Rangers fans use this as a reason to get one over us and the young neds of the green brigade have no idea what they are talking about! Lets get back to talking about football as afterall this is a celtic banter site and celtic are a football club!

i have nothing against people wearing poppies or showing respect to people that lost their lives. i am just giving gers fans a hard time for coming on here and using the poppy to point score over celtic fans. if you want to talk about being bigotted have a look at your own clubs history.

Re: Good to hear, but check the history of this page the only reason that I posted was cos of the tic fans posting on here agreeing/sideing with the protests which is just insane. I can understand them not agreeing with donating towards the servicemen don't agree with them but understand if affinities towards Ireland but to be against what the poppy stands for is just wrong.

what have you got against celtic fans wanting to wear a white poppy? the chinese lost lives in ww2, why would they not wear a poppy? you have not explained it at all.

Re: honestly ur to thick for words . . I aint against the white poppy at no point did i say this . . perhaps u would like to share howu came to this conclusion. No one is on here saying that clubs or countries should HAVE to wear them but when you have them protesting against it is when u need look at yourself! Your lot are literally protesting against people wanting to pay their respects to all those who have lost lives in wars. Typical Celtic fan tho deflect the blame . . you were asked why your against the poppy and all u can do is say "well why don't chinese clubs wear them" bla bla the usual. . You don't like the truth so try to dodge it at all costs. Just admit that some (not all) just the ones like yourself are
A - too bigotted to allow other human beings pay their respect to the lives that are lost.
B - Too ignorant to understand what the poppy stands for.

just to recap so you know the poppy symbol to reflect the dead was created by a Canadian in WW1 after seeing the death stricken battlefields in France. Yes the poppy was originally for the French then loads of other countries followed suit. It is not solely for British troops. . this is all easily available info please read up before embarassing yourself and your club any further.

You just need to ask yourself what is celtic football clubs official stand on this? they are 100% AGAINST the protesters and are threatning them with lifetime bans . . yes even your own club are/were disgraced by ur protests. rightly so

if that`s the case maybe you should ask the chinese to put a poppy on their football tops.
the white poppy does give respect to the celtic players that died. do you know the history of the white poppy and who made them in ww1?
what have you got against the white poppy?

Re: Are you for real?! why am I against the white poppy? i never even hinted anything like that ya tool ?! i couldnt be more for it ?! the fact is that you won't answer the question why are celtic fans against the red poppy wen I have already explained exactly what it represents? lol can't believe u thought i was against the poppy lol your stupidity astounds me!

Sorry for being ignorant, , but if the poppy is a symbol for all those who have given their lives in war, regardless of what side they were on, does that include the republicans in the war in ireland, or is it just certain wars, you, with all your superior knowledge, should be able to clear this up for us uneducated ones.

Re: In short, yes!? . . true none of the money raised from the poppy appeal will go towards their families and such but thats, the difference the actual poppy symbol is a respect to ALL victims of war since WW1. Why do u find it so hard to tell the difference ?! why do u find it so hard to respect the lives given by your own teams players that died?! besides there was me thinking that celtic were a football club and not a political party ?

Paddybhoy=Charity hater . . be very proud thankfully not all the celtic fans are like u
