Tonight CSKA Moscow got beaten if Spartak win tomorrow they go 4 points clear in second and this COULD help Celtic be seeded in CL qualifiers until final play off round.

Guys is there any truth in the rumour that Celtic are going to put the team into liquidation.
They are going to claim the team was a seperate entity from the club and therefore this season does not count and the club will be going for 10 next season or the following or whenever suits really.

Ronnie Simpson was voted the best Celtic goalkeeper in our history by our supporters in 2002.
Simpson actually became the youngest player to represent a Scottish league club at only 14 years old.
He played for Queens Park in 1945 but it was unofficial due to the game taking place during the Non-competitive WW2 years.
Simpson played his first official match the following season aged only 15 years old.
Ronnie won 2 FA cups with Newcastle in the 1950s during his 9 years at the club.
Hibs signed him in 1962 but he lost his place in the team when Jock Stein became the Hibs manager due to Ronnie's attitude in training.
Jock Stein then sold Simpson to Celtic in 1964.
Celtic bought the 34 year old to be a backup goalie to John Fallon.
But Simpson soon became the Celtic number 1 before Jock Stein became the new Celtic manager and he never looked back.
Winning a European cup winners medal in 1967.
That same year he played in his first Scotland game at the age of 36 years old.
It was at Wembley when Scotland defeated World Cup winners England 3-2.
Ronnie dislocated his shoulder in 1969 which forced him to miss the European cup final in 1970 and he retired at the end of that season.

just seems like a guessing game just now ed007 till the board finally announce who it will be there must have been at least 10 names made favourite for the job. do you think the announcement will come before the league season is complete or will it be the summer.
{Ed007's Note - You'd have thought by now there would have been some solid stories/rumours getting out but there's nothing. I just can't see DD sitting there after this length of time and not at least know if it's going to be A or B.
I've got a hopeful hunch that DD knows exactly what he's doing and for one reason or another they can't be announced but their plans are already being put in place behind the scenes.
Maybe there will be a coincidental announcement when the season ticket renewals go out.}

I mentioned Marsch a while back on here and I think he is the exact type of manager we should be looking at . I am pretty sure he did his badges in Scotland and said he had contacts in Scotland . Nothing ventured nothing gained why not ask the question and see if it is something he would be interested in?

Marsch would be an inspired appointment, that's where it falls for me. It should be a guy if his ilk, but I have a feeling it's a Ross or Clarke. Probaby just tryi g to save myself for abject disappointment if we don't get a guy who will move us forward playing great fitba, hooefully he can give 6s a defence worthy of the name. There's always a first time for someone saying, Celtic are really strong defensively. Something I have never ever seen. Always a bombscare or two. We have produced some if the finest defenders but never a unit in my time.

Patrick's day in New York for the wife's 50th, 2014. Brilliant few days but Jesus, 5th avenue felt like the coldest place on the planet, even though TV coverage was estimating the crowd at 2.5 million people. The bar's afterwards were absolutely bouncing, great craic.

UI, the article I read implies to me that he was being polite and respectful when asked the question of apparently been 'linked' with Celtic.
Unlike many 'candidates' (Keane, Howe, Lampard, Wilder to name a few) who've been 'touted' for the job, the difference is that this guy is under contract and seems very happy where he is.
I wouldn't read anything into this personally but agree he would be a great choice.

I've been reading a lot of stuff like scouting reports on him mally and it looks like this team play the perfect set up and tactics for him. He plays in the middle of 3 CBs and does a lot of the organising, in there he doesn't get pulled out wide as much where he seems to struggle at times.

I genuinely thought there was a maybe a player in there and certainly hadn’t ruled it out. The club were too quick to right him off particularly when you see the repeated opportunities afforded others. He was just a young laddie taking a big step up. Another Taylor for me that fans just choose to scapegoat.

My understanding is that Hendry's next move is totally out of our hands. The deal agreed with Oostende is written in a way that says if he and Oostende want it to become permanent then we cannot refuse and cannot call him back from the loan deal.
In theory he and they could come to an agreement to complete the transfer then they could sell him immediately to another club for a profit that also benefits him financially. There is nothing we can do and we cannot refuse to complete the deal.
It's our own fault for letting him go under those terms and there were many fans here who said they were glad to get rid of him and he had been a waste of money. Looks like we might just have to suck it up. HH.
{Ed007's Note - Hendry only has one year left on his Celtic deal as well, Besty. Would the people wanting him back take the risk of giving him another 3/4-year deal here? I certainly wouldn't plus Hendry has no intention of coming back to Celtic and hasn't for the past 18 months or so.}

I have always had a feeling that it will be Keane, I am very intrigued with the Maresca talk though especially if he comes in with Harkin as DOF, probably because they will already have a very close working relationship
If we named a DOF first I think it will probably give away who the new manager will be although I think they will probably be announced together.
I would really like them to announce it right before Sevco game like what happened with the Rodgers appointment that took away the shine from the cup final where they then got beat from Hibs.

I was kind of against the Keane idea at first but it might not be the worst option. He definitely would bring up the fitness levels of the team as I'm sure I remember some of the man u players saying he influenced them in how to eat and train properly (i might be mistaken though) . Its all guesswork just now but I hope they do have some sort of progressive plan in place.

I’m not too happy with the build up to the game.
Playing with only one recognised striker and also playing with Brown in midfield.
I would’ve preferred going into the match with either Ajeti of Griffiths getting a regular game and the same with Soro.
It looks like we will have a worse lineup, to the one we played at Ibrox.
