With the Nimmo smith tribunal supposedly sitting a week on Wednesday, I'd like the stripped titles rightfully handed to the runners up. Otherwise the old dead historical rangers will have achieved their aim of depriving honest teams of winning those titles.
Stripping the titles isn't punishment, its just setting the record straight. There has to be punishment for wrongdoing. Since Green accepted his new Rangers club would accept punishments in order to get an SFA license to play association football ( no legal implied link to the old dead club) then Rangers club should be punished as well as titles stripped from the dead club's record.
It would be appropriate to hear some public apologies also.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Mate, stripping of titles would be enough. F*ck they're tarnished, tainted titles. Let those years sit in the history books and AND VOID. So a hundred years from now when someone looks and see's it they will dig and see what a bunch of cheating bast*rds they are. Not that a hundred years from now our children and grandchildren won't still be reminding the c*nts.

Let me just warn you now though, I would not be in the slightest bit suprised if they got off scot free with this. You know the society we live in, you all have seen first hand the help they get. The media are back to being frightened to say anything against them after a few bouts of bravery before the real Rangers rode the white horse into oblivion. They will pay through the nose for decent lawyers and some loophole will be invented. I would hold back on the stripping of titles party until the verdict is made.

Agree5 Disagree2

They are not tarnished titles. celtic did everything by the book and if they are stripped of course they should be awarded to the real champions. can't you just see the cheaters seeing what you said as a victory ? it would take about 2 minutes before they started laughing and saying, well at least they didn't get them. wake up.

Agree3 Disagree0

If you can't win them on the park you don't deserve them. The Rangers players won they titles farely, they didn't cheat. Receiveing an EBT didn't make them better players. Celtic weren't good enough. End of!!

TTG

Agree0 Disagree0

@3. you obviously don't understand any rules at all. the players weren't properly registered and shouldn't have been on the field. but we can see how worried you are about celtic having their rightful titles returned from the defunct club.
take the titles, their ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 You can't even spell FAIRLY correctly, never mind win anything FAIRLY, I for one don't want the title's, IF and I repeat IF they are taken off your dead team, I want it on record that your dead team lost them because your dead team were cheating Bstard's

ED007 what is the procedure when Celtic sign young players like Gershon and Rogic.
Are they simply put in a hotel or are they roomed with a player?
I would guess for very young players, homesickness would play a part, and if they are in a hotel on their own this is when the problems will start.
It would make more sense for a club mentor to look after them, any thoughts? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Gershon is only on loan so he will probably stay with Kayal until he rents somewhere or the club give him a house to use. Younger players will either stay in a hotel or move in with someone from the club until they are settled enough to stay on their own. A lot of young players share buying or renting a house.}

Hey Ed, how's it going? Not been on the page for ages but back again today.

So, I'm just curious here bhoys and ghirls, the general consensus amongst us all in the summer was that we needed a keeper, a cb and a striker.

What does everyone think now?

I'm curious as I've heard differing opinions on this, with no real general opinion amongst the support.

Personally, I would primarily like a fast, Left sided play that can play full back/wing back/wide midfielder. We need cover and pace on that side as I feel only Forrest has that burst of pace needed to stretch teams in the wide areas.

Opinions?

Good to be back!

As a junior, Rogic played for Tuggeranong United FC. As a 16-year-old, Rogic moved to his first senior club, playing two seasons with the ANU FC in the ACT Premier League where he won the Coach's Award in 2010 as a 17-year-old. In 2011, Rogic turned 18 and moved clubs to play one season with Belconnen United in the ACT Premier League. He was also selected to join the Nike Football Academy after winning The Chance, a competition which he won therefore officially declaring him as one of the best eight young footballers in the world.

In my opinion if any celtic fan sells their spare ticket over the face value then no one should buy it so they have to sell it at face value or better still they will have egg on their face trying to rob a fellow tim

Believable3 Unbelievable1

What is a Tim? always wondered what this means.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tim stands for The Irish Migrant and was used in the general media when the Irish came over after the famine for short !

Agree0 Disagree1

It was a racist generic name for irish immigrants, timothy molloy, accompanied usually with a drawing of a neandrathal looking character, used by scottish newspapers, if I remember correct there is a chapter on this in the book the glory and the dream the history of celtic,,, deep river bhoy

Where are you all week in week out?
Dont give me the same old excuses,

Celtic are for life not just for europe!

Spicebhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Spicebhoy, i won't be there, no ticket . i have however been in celtic park this season 3 times when the crowd was less than 15,000 and the entire upper tier was empty, where were the 40,000 season ticket holders on those nights . celtic are for life but apparently not crappy first round league and scottish cup ties .. shammy

Tambhoy {Ed007's Note - He has been in it three times when the crowd has been low I think he means......

Agree0 Disagree0

Well shammy use the 49 and attend a cpl of league matches. There is the odd exception mate but the majority of people moaning wouldn't go to a game in league if ye gave them a tkt. As for my mate that I got a ticket for... He goes every week with tkts bought by himself or loaned to him. He tried to buy a half season tkt but there are none this year. In previous years he attended matches by halving tkts with mates. As I said there are exceptions but some folk need to remember there are league and cup games too. Not just Europe. (Sorry bout spelling my tablets keypad is broken)
Spice bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tambhoy. 3 cup ties, 3 european, 5 league + tickets for hearts game and 2 friendlies .. that is all the games i've been able to attend because I work shifts, and the reason I don't have a season book. so a bit less than half, but that doesn't mean I love celtic any less than anbody else

ED007 I saw your replies to the posts last night about French players and must say I agree.
Also I heard Redknapp criticise Hughes for giving players big contracts and he does the exact same with this French player £70k and a 4 1/2 year contract, (what if QPR get relegated)
also this player publicly stated QPR "were too small for him" now he signs when big money offered.
The reason QPR are facing relegation is (mostly) foreign players on big, big deals but short on work eithics, in an relegation battle you need British players who will give 100% effort. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I can only hazard a guess that there will be some kind of relegation release clause like Demba Ba had at West Ham. There is always a bit of a stench regarding any deals Redknapper is involved in and with good reason. A lot of foreign players are only in it for the money and I expect to see Ba leave Chelsea in the summer, he was signed as nothing more than a stop gap until Chelsea can bring in one of their main signing targets in the summer, possibly Falcao.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

To be fair Timbo, Remy is actually a half-decent player from what I've seen of him, Hughes gave long-term contracts to people like Clint Hill and Anton Ferdinand !! My guess is that's what old 'Arry was referring to.

And Ed007 is right, he'll have a "relegation clause" as will any other fool who's daft enough to sign up for Arry's relegation battle bonanza. With a small % of all earnings going to 'Arry's dog Rosie of course (allegedly or whatever saves me from getting sued).

Dunno if I agree with Ed007 re Demba Ba, he just scores goals no matter what team he's in. I can see him being No2 to Falcao or whoever they sign but Torres has got to go surely, if anyone is daft enough to pay for him that is.

Just letting you know there will be no public sale of tickets for the juventus game the following statement is taken from the celtic website.

THERE has been a fantastic response from season ticket holders wanting to take advantage of the opportunity to buy two extra tickets for the UEFA Champions League match with Juventus on February 12.

And there has been a massive queue stretching along London Road since early this morning. Supporters are advised NOT to come to Celtic Park now, since no more people are being allowed to join the queue.

Following today's sale of tickets to season ticket holders, there will be no public sale of tickets for the Juventus match.

Cheers FrannyBhoy.

I cannot understand why some people are calling for or considering a 14 team top league. Dundee was the best team in division one and got promoted into SPL and have had a very poor showing this season. Another two teams from (worse than Dundee) div1 entering the top tier isn't going to improve it at all, just introduce meaningless games. I hope this idea doesn't get serious consideration to placate bottom teams in SPL who fear relegation.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Sorry but you are wrong with saying Dundee was the best team . It was actually Ross County that won the league . Dundee got promoted because a certain team went into liquidation and lost there place in the SPL.

TamBhoy74

Agree4 Disagree0

That's correct but its still putting two more dire teams into SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Dundee are dire, out of their depth a bit but they work hard and certainly go for it. Their back four is certainly not good and they lack penetration. The point is that when they go down they will not be able to get better where as if the league was bigger and they got a few more years in the league then they could improve.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would go back to a ten team spl and get shot of the break think about it thou 4 games a season might sound much but only 2 is at home as part of your season ticket would you rather swap the top teams for games against teams that can't compete in the 1st division ?? an example first game of the season hearts at home and then you won't get to play them at home for the rest of the season
