A Celtic fans podcast has pointed out that In the last 11 games in which both Edouard and Turnbull have started for Celtic, they have scored an impressive 16 goals between them.
It’s frustrating in the middle of that good run, Edouard missed 3 league games at the start of the year, which all resulted in 3 draws.

Buzz Bomb, it's nothing to do with Ed missing those 3 games. If we stayed at home instead of Dubai we would have given ourselves a really good chance to turn those 3 draws into wins if we could have fielded a strong team. Then we would have beaten St mirren. That's 9 pts lost as a direct result of Dubai. We should be 6 pts behind right now, level on games with them to play twice. Dubai has cost us and everyone on the non playing side that organised/ agreed to that trip cannot be at the club after June.

M8 if we’re going to count those three draws then we actually dropped 6 points over those 3 games as we got a point in each game but non the less I get your point. Dubai was a mitigated disaster and did ultimately cost us games when lennon said we’d actually benefit from that trip. But back to last night, again as happy as I am to win, that was yet another hard watch. When was the last time the Celtic support watched a game and thought “ god that was a right good performance there”? Yes we’ve won the last 5 and people will say “ what more do u want? We lose yae moan we win yae moan”. but come on, the performances are god awful. We’ll all continue to debate what a season this could’ve/ should’ve been but I still maintain had we made changes around October of last year when the warning signs were long there things could’ve been so different, I certainly don’t believe we’d have been 23 points behind by the end of January had changes been made and we’d still be right in a title fight.

Edouard only missed 2 games due to the Dubai fiasco.
I can’t remember why he also missed the 3rd game, away to Livingston.

Yes it was 6 pts dropped but I also said we would then have beaten St mirren, that's the 9 pts.

I thought it was a good result but another poor performance by Celtic.
Ajer was by far the MOTM and he is easily my Celtic Player of the year.
Wee Strachan and Tosh are taking pelters on social media.
Saying WGS looks like Marv from Home Alone and Tosh is a Peaky Blinder.

Ajer has certainly stepped up and is looking like a leader. Welsh is gaining vital experience and our full backs can defend.

To me playing so many central midfielders makes us very predictable. The space is out wide but we have no wingers out there. Christie looks lost due to turnbull taking on his role.

Ajeti may as well not bother turning up.

What was pleasing is how we managed to defend countless balls into the box in 2nd half. Although when I saw that taylor was marking ash taylor at one free kick I couldn't believe what I was seeing!

With the strong rumours we are going down the route of a director of football, has Nicky Hammond been mentioned for it? The reason being, if a new man came in around June it doesn’t give him long to evaluate the squad and highlight new signings. I read today a piece on David Webb, who states that he needs to know the ideas of the coach so he can put the ideas together with players that fit the way the coach wants to play.
If we don’t have a coach in place and a director of football, we could be handicapped going into next season.
It just seems more and more like lennon will be given another chance, due to time constraints, big overhaul needed . I get the feeling the club will say we need continuity of some sort .

Also, it could well be that a D. O. F. and new manager have already been approached / signed and they're having ongoing discussions about players etc for next season as we speak.

Pedro you would like to think so but the way the club has been run this season I wouldn't be surprised if they are just going along on a whim you wouldn't think this club was the standard of Scottish football for more than a decade when you look at this year.

i don't think celtic played very well tonight a bit scrappy at times but i have got to say this if they defended like they did tonight all season the ten would be ours no bother.

Never know what to make of lennons comments, Garry rightly lists on a thread below the amount of players that could go and lennin out saying there won't be a massive overhaul, eh whit, then goes on to say there's mitigating reasons for our poor season he can't go into, so have we to guess, fans treated with contempt but buy your st please.

Bhoys, I've just this minute read that NL has insisted there are 'mitigating circumstances surrounding Celtic's season'?

Note to Neil, I'm sure many of us could tell you several reasons why, what cpuld have been an historic season has imploded but there would be no mitigation attached i. e.

* poor recruitment
* unfit players
* 1st team players that wanted to leave last summer
* baffling team selections/ tactics/ formations/ substitutions
* the trip to Dubai
* abysmal defending.

I'm still hoping for a Bobby Ewing (Dallas) moment when I step out the shower and it's all been a bad dream. We've secured the 10, Messi has signed a pre contract as he wants to win the Champions League with Celtic before he retires and he's joined by an array of the best young footballing talent from around the globe.

I think the mitigating circumstance is that Lennon is a bad manager with no clue on tactics and with the bingo machine out for repair just now its harder to choose a team.
