At work talking about musonda Brendan will probably spend a year. Sorting this kids bad habits out before returning him to Chelsea. Where I guess he will play a few games before someone moves in for him. He might be a great player for celtic but he over complicates his pass or lack of. I was excited at prospect of the kid I just don't see him fitting in? I would much rather spend money on Roberts get see kid be next England hotshot. I might even support England if Roberts plays for them, ?

really? You have the ability to spot this in the time he has had on the pitch?

The only thing I agree with is that we should make every effort to sign Paddy Roberts as he has a hint of 'Jinky' about him and could be a great player for Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy could be a great player for Celtic. This season because of injuries we have seen very little sign of him becoming a Johnstone . He has a hell of a lot of improving before he becomes anything like Johnstone . For one thing Johnstone did more work in one match than Paddy does in 5 .
I think it's impossible to see even a hint of wee Jimmy in any modern player, as the game has changed so much .
I would prefer to see the hint of a very good Paddy Roberts in Paddy.

Think wee McGregor kind of goes under the radar and is developing in to a top class player great on the ball can pass and calm in front of goal great season Callum.

McGregors style of running with the ball and movement reminds me of Messi. Now I'm not suggesting McGregor is anywhere near the standard of Messi but at least McGregor hasn't needed HGH to become the player he has😱😱. Probably jinxed him now remember King Billy calling Stevie Fulton the Scottish Baggio and he never had a decent game again🤣.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 21:33:20
McGregor is an excellent versatile player. It's great to see him Forrest and Tierney all young players but over 30 years between them at Celtic.

For a change I am ignoring all the shenanigans happening over Govan way and want to talk about our transfer policy considering the world cup will delay everything.
So here is what I think, about the players we already have at the club and the ones we know are already coming in.
Bain is a good shout to push Gordon, two decent goalkeepers.
I think Commper will come into his own next season probably more in the domestic games and as cover for Tierney.
Young Ralston will fit naturally into Lustig's right back slot, with Lustig being retained but getting less games to keep him fresher.
Musonda should be the perfect replacement for Roberts. Also the young player from St Mirren should push for a starting place also.
We also have Christie coming back from Aberdeen and he should take the place of Armstrong if he leaves.
If choice between Armstong and Rogic who stays, I am a Rogic fan, tie him down to a 3 / 4 year deal.
It is inevitable that Moussa will go in the summer, I would take a chance with young Odsonne, maybe even extending his loan for another year.
We know that there will be changes too in the defence with Sviachenko and possibly Simonovic going, as Brendan seems to trust Boyata more, god know why.
My reading of things therefore is, if we do the above then we will not be in a panic to sign players and can take our time to add one or two more as we let other players go.

17 Apr 2018 13:08:17
Boyata has said he wants to leave this summer if I'm not mistaken. I believe our transfer policy should be to try and retain the players we have i. e Armstrong, Rogic, Roberts, Bain, Dembele and Edouard. I think Hendry, Ajer and Commper will be the CB's next season. A right back for me is a must. We will only sign players depending on whether we can retain the above. Roberts will surely realise that there is no future for him at City therefore I feel we have a fantastic opportunity to sign him permanently this summer. I predict a record window spend this summer with the permanent captures of Roberts and Edouard. After Sunday the board will hopefully see that this summer we have a great opportunity to push on and distance ourselves from the chasing pack for many a year to come👍.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Obviously nothing is definite but Edouard was on a list of players Vitoria de Guimaraes received from PSG who will be available to them on loan next season. That could mean that PSG have just not had any indication from Celtic if they intend to trigger the agreed buy-out clause.
I've always thought that any move for Edouard would depend on what is going to happen with Dembele this coming summer.}

17 Apr 2018 13:44:53
You may be right in your assessment ed, however I can't see us going into a new season with only 2 strikers as I remember Sinclair playing as a striker when Dembele and Griffiths were both out injured and it wasn't ideal. The quality we have been able to bring off the bench this season has been key at times as has our strength in depth. If we can keep this squad together, add a right back and move on the likes of Sviatchenko, Boyata etc I'll be more than happy with our buisness👍.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I just don't see us signing a RB while we have Lustig and Ralston here. }

17 Apr 2018 14:46:15
Any more news on Hernandez from Hull? just the agent trying to stir up interest?

I was hoping Armstrong might return to past form after his op, and would be disappointed to see either him or Rogic go - knowing what they can do on their day.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - As far as I know there was never any news on Hernandez.}

17 Apr 2018 15:49:10
Can you see us trying to sign Roberts permanently this summer?

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Apr 2018 20:28:13
malkybhoy surely u don't see hendry and commper being our centre halves next season what a mistake that would be. Rodgers clearly does not rate marvin and hendry ain't ready not by a long shot, Boyata, jozo and ayer are by far our best centre halves and people have it in for boyata but having watched hendry v dundee he isn't ready and the proof will be on sat v hibernian then v rangers again on sunday week no way hendry will play as a first choice.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Apr 2018 20:33:41
Armstrong will prob leave and eboue isn't a celtic player and christie is only decent. Ship these 2 out and sign john mcginn he is a class act.

Agree2 Disagree1

17 Apr 2018 20:37:00
I can't see the club paying much of a transfer fee for Edouard when he is basically the third choice striker.
When Griffiths was injured he was getting a bit of game time but now Griffiths is back he seems to have dropped out of the reckoning. I thought that Sunday was telling in that with the game won and only a few minutes left the manager still didn't put him on. That doesn't look to me to be a player who Brendan Rodgers is going to be desperate to sign in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2018 21:59:24
Tysonmike1, Hendry and Compper are Rodger's singings so I'm sure he wouldn't sign them if he didn't rate them. They will be bled into the team gradually for the future as with Musonda. As for Edouard we have a number of quality options within the squad so not everyone will play every game. Strength in depth is the key. I can see two out of Jozo, Boyata and Sviatchenko leaving this summer.

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Apr 2018 23:17:05
You make the point that hendry and compper are brendans signings so he must rate them? well so is eboue and frankly he is crap plus rodgers signed gamboa, de vries and musonda and none can get a game so he clearly does not rate them that much? If he rated hendry and marvin they would be playing now and not next season that is total nonsense. Jozo boyata and ayer are obviously our best 3 and dedryk did not put a foot wrong v them at hamden but seems to have been forgotten.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2018 23:55:48
Eboue had a great game vs Zenit at Celtic Park so we know the level he can play at also he's still very young. As I said strength in depth is key. Boyata had an ify moment again early on vs them and to be frank he is a bombscare! Boyata I believe said he wants to leave in the summer, it also looks like Sviatchenko doesn't have a future either so that leaves Compper, Ajer, Hendry and Jozo. I thought when Hendry came on vs them at Ibrox he looked solid. Your spot on with De vries and Rodgers quickly realised his misjudgement with him. Gamboa has done ok to be fair whenever he has had any game time. Musonda will play a bigger part next season I think.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 07:22:05
I think Compper will be offski in the Summer. He’s well out of favour after only 1 appearance. Something must have happened behind the scenes.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 08:22:59
Is it possible Brendan is going with the tried and trusted players for the buisness end of the season? Once the title is wrapped up a few players will undoubtedly get a chance with a run in the side i. e Compper Musonda etc. Ed have you heard anything as to whether Compper has fell out of favour?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - When was Compper ever in favour to fall out of it? I said at the time it was a strange decision to sign him and I didn't see him and anything more than a squad player. His cumbersome display against Morton only reinforced my opinion.}

18 Apr 2018 16:12:13
I was of the assumption that he was brought in for experience which would be put to use for future european campaigns, maybe I've got the wromg end of the stick but if he is out of favour it does seem a strange one as he surely can't be any worse than the bombscare that is Boyata!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 21:38:29
We haven't seen enough of Compper to have any real belief that he will ever become a regular at Celtic . The fact that we havn't seen enough of Commper re-inforces the belief that Compper probably wasn't a good buy in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2018 11:38:55
Does anyone think that a lot of the mobs supporters won't come to the game in couple weeks?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

{Ed007's Note - No chance, Kev. Regardless of tbe score that would be the ultimate humiliation for them not to fill their end. Tickets will be passed about and there are plenty of Staunchy McStaunch who would understand how humiliating it would be not to front it up at Paradise. I expect a very toxic atmosphere to be emanating from their end of the ground that day - after all, it's all they have left to bring.}

17 Apr 2018 12:13:48
Bang on Ed. They will be like the vikings on a rampage. All they have left to look forward to is marching season and a royal wedding Saying that there's feck all royal about it. James Hewitts laddie and a divorced yank.

Agree4 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - Is that the same divorced Yank that went to a Catholic private all-girls school (who now apparently identifies herself as a Protestant?) and will give Jimmy Savile's best friend Prince Charles mixed race step-grandkids?}

17 Apr 2018 12:18:50
No chance of that. Ra Peepell don't do walking away. What they do do though is sing sectarian songs and wreck our toilets. Expect normal service to be resumed.

{Ed007's Note - It's like you're seeing the future, Rab, uncanny.}

PL and Euro teams looking for bargains then they need look no further than Celtic, Dembele, Tierney. Rogic, Armstrong, McGregor, Forest and Sincy may want back down south, Boyata, Ajer, Simunovic, even Nicham will be on the radar of these teams now.

BR and Celtic are fully aware when they buy these players that's it's for a profit, so it will be very difficult to refuse any decent money.
BR and Celtic have already delved into the market for replacements and will buy in a couple, plus the young lads and can still compete.

Do they refuse the big money offers and and build a team to to challenge for the CL/ EL.

Personally i see a few moving on in the summer but more coming in so the future is good, the future is green. Hail Hail

Been a good season let's end it with, same again at Hampden.

Portalloos and lock the toilets. Ed’s half right and totally wrong. Half right in that it doesn’t matter how bad it ever got you’d always find enough Huns in Scotland to visit Celtic Park to take their stance against all things green and white and what they perceive to be a symbol of Roman Catholicism but they’ll leave at 3-0 so does it count or is that like running away at the Boyne. Totally 100% wrong in that no way are the wummin that go to see Rod Stewart and I’ve never been anywhere near in the same ugly league as the Saltcoats white glove and big hat wearing bints in that video. That wan that stripped tae the black bra has scarred me for life.

17 Apr 2018 21:02:21
Expect to get kicked off the park in the next Rangers game. They can't beat us but if they put 2 or 3 out such as Brown, Tierney and Moussa, then the treble will be more difficult. At least 2 red cards coming their way. Its going to be a nightmare.

17 Apr 2018 21:06:09
Johnny. don’t play them then put the Bhoys team out with young Dembelle up front! ☘️.

JFP we can't allow them to beat us so we need to post the first choice players.

18 Apr 2018 07:28:41
Johnny, I was listening to clyde last nite and someone said that if sevco finish 4th and motherwell win the cup then it won't be enough to get a European spot. If they play the way they did on Sunday then it's not beyond them to lose all their remaining fixtures. To have a chance of making a profit next year they will need a European run, they might just need us to win the double treble. 😂😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 21:46:28
Let us not worry about Rangers 2012, didn't they qualify for Europe last year in a blaze of glory but at the end of the day they didn't make much Progres .
I feel that their team has regressed., the manager is only a youth team coach. , the board is divided and the Chairman is a Glib and Shamess Liar . T O P hasn't gone away and I don't think Mr King is even promising enough to satisfy them .
The team on the pitch could be the least of their problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2018 21:05:25
Surely this Royal Wedding is merely a distraction for the poor royalists amongst the British people . Brexit is a bit heavy and too complicated for many . However this Royal Celebration of what will probable be the forerunner of a very short term marriage . Hewitt's son marry into a mixed marriage, mix race doesn't seem to be the ingredients of a long term happy marriage.

GT10. I was in NYC the start of March not far from times square and times square itself is littered with Irish Bars/ Sports bars. Too many to name but the Pig and Whistle and O'Briens stand out. If it's times square you want to be at for the game then you won't be looking for somewhere showing the game for long.
