The ones I feel sorry for are those "forgotten millions" north of the watford gap!

So the DEVO MAX option is now lo longer a pledge but a vow, but they forget to tell us that it will have to pass through 659 MPs and then the Lords.

This is being done to convince Scottish voters on the brink of a yes vote and those undecided, to vote No Thanks and sit tight and wait for a semi-quasi-partial "independence" so we can get the safety, security and stability of the UK family of nations.

let us just say (for arguments sake) we get these powers. Powers = influence.

back to the Watford Gap. If we canny Scots get as ASDA would put it "a little extra" or a wee sweetener or two, bearing in mind that rUK currently think we get a more than fair cut of the pie, do we honestly think the 57 million leftover are going to let us take there last can of lager of their table? Or there one and only cocktail sausage.

If we are getting MORE it must be coming away from somewhere/someplace else; so there will be "losers" an they won't be in the south east that is for sure!

I feel sorry for

wales
northern ireland
and north of the watford gap

hardly democratic for them .but that is next year's battle .

This is a messed up business and it makes less sense as the days roll on to decision day; big announcements and poor(er) quality debate

.what will there eve left to say when it is all over

The UK as we know it is changing and will change because it needs to change and I predict militant tendencies across a huge swathe of the British Isles no matter the result

ED, I would get in touch with wee Pat and get that ticket for Dubai ASAP on Incontinent Airlines and then you can p*** yourself laughing content that you won't need to wake up in the british "basket case" isles for a good while .

Over and out of and come on the Caley!

Any news on Tonev's racial allegations? If he is found guilty his deal should be cancelled and he should get sent packing, Similar to LG (which seems to be the case!) No need for racism in this club.

Are you hearing this like I am? "If Scotland votes NO! expect a backlash from the ENGLISH! over free prescription, tuition fees, personal care! Is it now Heads they win / Tails we lose?

I cannot believe this! surely am now not the only one with this viewpoint?

I wouldn't worry about it Jamiebhoy7 I believe a YES vote is a formaility. Even ICM have admitted today they may have got the opinion polls horribly wrong due to the 20% of people who have reregistered to vote in the referendum after falling off the electoral register due to having no faith in the system, these people are almost certainly yes voters! you are hardly likely to reregister to vote for the same system you have had no faith in for years

On the so called polls – has anyone on here been asked, I haven’t. Nobody I know has an nobody in my work has.

Where are the figures coming from then?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Someone phoned my mam yesterday doing one but said you had to be between 18-45 to take part, so that's you ruled out as well :)

Shut it you, i’ll be 18 soon!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Aye right - I'll crack the jokes. Nobody under 50 buys the Sunday Post.}

Hi Martinj1888 at last someone in agreement with me that the POLLS in this instance are MINCE!

Brian Cox on BBC saying SEVEN THOUSAND people have registered to vote in the last month in Dundee ALONE so how do they factor that into POLLS?!

A hope you are right my friend ATVB JB7

ED007 regarding your future trip to Dubai.
I hope you will allow my business colleague Wee Pat and I to assist in all your travel arrangements.
Pat has now set up his own bucket shop, and you and Moneypenny are assured of first class service. No tickets just first class service lol
As you know Pat is multi lingual and multi faceted, having been brought up in a multi in Possilpark.
His only thoughts are ensuring you leave promptly on the set date, as he has arranged an "empty party" at your abode.
So please book via Pat's Incontinent Airlines at your earliest convenience.

{Ed007's Note - My plan was to ask Wee Pat if he wanted to be our butler.}

It wouldn't be the English people but the tory party, I would hope the average English man/woman knows that this referendum isn't against them but the system by which they are also governed, even no voters just don't want a status quo at the end of this but a real shake up of the system

Tut Tut Ed a Butler? You will have paradisewon on asking "what's next a heated driveway like Pedro's" ;-)

Hypothetical question Ed001 - if you were Scottish and had a vote, Yes or No?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I would vote for anything that got my country away from having to give such an immense proportion of its earnings to one city - London. Without London, the whole of the UK would be much better off. So I would have to vote yes. There is no real debate about it to me. The only reason to vote no is fear of the unknown and that is for children, in my opinion.}

There is a real fear of the unknown and folk who don’t want any real upset to their current standard of living – of course most of us know that can also happen with a Westminster Government. Some are also waving stay loyal to the Union flags for reasons only known to them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed that whatever the vote decides it is the best thing for the majority of the population.}

I hope so to and I’m glad Scotland is at long last awake - although this doesn't seem to suit everyone :-)

I think i'm Indy Scotland'd out now, feel i've been talking about it for nearly 2 years.

I'm hoping for a Yes vote and Scotland appear to be moving in that direction, we seem to be one Margaret Thatcher Westminster Government away from a majority Yes.

What I would say about the reasons I'm voting Yes it they are MY reasons, I don't expect everyone else to feel the same - as with any vote. I've been vocal on here and on the Politics page about this vote for well over a year and have researched my reasons, although I will admit to always leaning towards Yes.

Guys you have to make up your own mind about Thursday and do what you feel is right. I can't back Westminster at all after Thatcher and feel Scotland (for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health) is better fully in the hands of Scotland. I'm not naive enough to think we won't get greedy Scottish Politicians or we're all going to live happy ever after but I will feel the Scottish people will have more control.

On a wee side note - I can't be doing with the embarrassment to democracy that is an unelected Head of State and House of Lords either.

Agreed Mrs E. Its an embarrassment to democracy. It does not include the UK as we are not a democratic country. We are in fact an Oligarchy so no embarrassment for this wonderful British state. Where do I get my information? Official University political departments, classic teachers and the fact that I know the definitions. All this democracy stuff its quite amusing you know; also interesting to hear Queenie referring to how the "people" must think very carefully about the future. Now its nothing to do with "we are the people" but Queenie knows the difference between idiots and people, and its a big difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopot, I think your research is correct and this 'democracy' is indeed just a nonsense.

Steady Mrs E. Your going to need that iodine soon. :)

Sopot I was actually reading your diet tips the other day :-)

What are the benefits of iodine and any side effects? I need a diet that gives me a bit more energy

Mrs E. You have just won the lottery, so to speak. One of my many facets is that I am what I like to call "a save your life coach" I give my services for free and advise on all aspects of surviving on this planet. Including of course diet and wellness wellbeing and anything else. I restore peoples sanity as we know most of the inhabitants of the western world exhibit non sane behaviour But it stárts with choosing between the red pill and the blue pill. I am only half joking there! Happy to give advice on iodine etc.
You need nascent iodine. Unfortunately many of the sources explaining what it does and the dangers ( which are less than the average over the counter modern day pharma drug IMO. Its expensive and you have to take it every day but here are some benefits.
Clarity in thinking ( brain fog gone)
IQ increase. Fact from studies
Energy increased
Sleep better
Glandular tissue protected
Thyroid protected
Fluoride and other halons flushed from system( fluoride a poison and in most toothpastes and dental floss)
Prevention of taking up nasty radiation through absorbtion of whatever they leak into the atmosphere.
Follow the advice from the manufacturer re dose rate. Its important. I take way over butI can tolerate as I did it slowly. Most people on it do this BTW.
Go research and find the right manufacturer. there's really only one. Tis your first test. :)

Sorry Mrs E was rushed earlier. Still am but a bit more clarification.
The dangers as with most things that are good for you, IMO are greatly exaggerated. The problem is much of the information is incomplete and if you try to get to the truth on any of the normal sources its difficult.
Ok You will probably detox. No bad thing but not a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Its normal. Everyone detoxes.

You may get flushed and sweats. Again normal. But cut back a little on the doseage. However if you find the right manufacturer and distributor then the guidance is very clear.

Apart from the stuff I mentioned earlier you will have amazing dreams, your creative side will develop and increase too. This is because the centre of your creativity and sprituality is in your pineal gland. Huge amount of controversy on my last statement but why does it affect your dreams? Anyway fact the pineal gland is calcified in most adults due to diet and toxins. Iodine clears it so it can function properly. Ie the natural balance is restored. It really is a scandal that they take iodine out of table salt! that's why I buy Himalayan or Celtic sea salt.
Oh finally. You will lose weight :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopotcelt, you have my attention

researching as we speak . not for weight loss but for all the other stuff

especially better sleep and good dreams

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for this Sopot!

I'm going to give iodine a go and will report back when i'm hopefully bursting with energy :-)

How did you get into this line of work?

18 Sep 2014 07:53:16
In ancient times it is reported people used to have what is commonly referred to as a hobby. They would take a problem, a line of enquiry and work on it in their spare time. It was not model railways or dare I say it following a football team. But it was something they enjoyed and were interested in.
The hobbies in those days were not about filling time. They were about finding things out. It was not uncommon for a family to work on a problem through and down the generations. Sometimes taking hundreds of years to solve something. Sometimes never solving anything but adding to the thinking, the debate and discovering little truths here and there. The work was built upon and families had access to the notes and ideas of their ancestors.
Now what I do is my real work( paid employment) and my second string. What I am interested in. Sometimes I spend an hour a day. Sometimes I spend the whole day doing what I need to do. Following lines of enquiry. I tell you it beats watching coronation St!
So after some time you stumble upon some truths or some information 90% of which is all out there. It may be health, it may be politics or social history or revolutionary history or the development of religion or economics but its amazing how things go.
Suddenly you have the equivalent of a PhD in what is going on. Well not so suddenly but almost by magic you have all this knowledge which again amazingly most people don't know about!
I suppose in some ways I display characteristics of a modern day alchemist.
Happy reading.
