Awryt ED long tym no post! Still ah daily reader but too addictive!. Jist seen kakas oot for wed nyts game aswell! Tbh I myself would prefer them to have there full team playing against us so ther wouldn't be any excuses when we beat them lol wishfull thinking theyl still have a far more superior team out than ours but we have the heart of the lion to grind out a result which most teams in europe know. Iam a big anthony stokes fan, iam also from the peoples republic of cork, iam a supporter of the republic of ireland and would like to see stokes play for my club and my country. There seems to be one or two people on our own site who have a big problem with that and resort to name calling, appriciate evryones opinion but namecalling from behind keyboards ain't so brave, ., .kbarry

Coming from you kbarry is not even funny. Your such a hypocrite, do you forget what you write? After all the name calling of our board and how they are the worst all because we didn't spend 8mill on a player, now you talk of all facts of the team as if your happy now. So after seeing some of the players like the Dutch guys and pukki and how much potential and talent they have, have you calmed down? Stop acting like your a leader in protecting players when you were bad mouthing the club because we didn't get quality players in(in your own mind) or is it only stokes you are protecting cause he is Irish? Just for info stokes still has to grow and get the off field issues sorted before he can be fully trusted no matter how good he is, and I do think he could be even better player if he gets rid of the off issues and could be at the club for a long time if he does that.

Not talking about name calling of players, as I haven't seen anything that has been name calling on the site, but just to open yor eyes a wee bit. Seen a couple post from you these days and you say why calling players names and other post from you acting all happy when you were far from a couple weeks ago. So you can name call the board cause they get paid good money but the players cant? No sense there, the players make good money so you got double standards and just look like a t1t at times. The board has given back to the fans, 100$ discounts ect, and are protecting the club not like some players that are looking after them selves and using us as a stepping stone. So maybe you should wake up a wee bit and give thanks to the board instead of having a pop at them every chance you get because they don't do what you want. They have a harder time and bigger challenges then the players most of the time, we are in the best financial position ever and you still aren't happy. Glad your nowhere near the clubs money cause if the board lisen to the fans all the time we would be in a bad spot and at risk of going down hill.

@5 your missing the point iam talking about fans namecalling other fans not once did I mention players, board yeah call them names if you want but the only gripe I've ever had was/is with the board not listning to us fans. Ya your right about name calling against the fans. So saving 100 is no big deal? Come on, who knows if it is for one year but the point is they are trying to do something to help the fans out. If they are doing it to fill out the park then this proves they are going to greater lengths to protect the club. It is the fans fault if they are not going not the board, if I lived over there I would be going to every game no matter what. For people not going cause it's a one horse race just shows how some are not true fans of the club. The other clubs have been better and more entertaining this year so the only name calling I would say to someone who gives an excuse one horse race is not a true fan, I get up at 7am on weekends just to watch every game and miss work for cl lol. I also like to see our youth getting time just like paul mcstay.and lennoxtown is also for the youth but more importantly its for our 1st team, as all top european clubs have an academy, we were late starters with ours we trained on a small bit of land behind the social club called barrowfields and it was defo not up to standards. Every top english club has one but very few of their youngsters come through although ross barkley looks the part at everton, most other young english players are way overrated. Anyway marti fellow your wet wet wet behind your ears but nice conversing with you from behind your keyboard. Morning gents. Now that the transfer window has slammed shut I just want to say well done to Celtic on their transfer business. I have watched with interest the new boy Virgil and I think we have unearthed an absolute gem. He looks to me like another Mark Reiper, very comfortable on the ball, reads the game really well and not afraid to put the foot in when needed. I think Derk will become a star for us and Pukki will score us goals. I know we have lost Mouyokolo but maybe it is time to promote one of the boys from the youth team to blood them now, even if its only in the home games where they won't be under so much pressure. We have got great strength in depth now and Rogic and Biton will feature a lot more as we play CL matches, they are young and they are the future of the club. Well done PL and once again John Park looks to have worked his magic. Good luck on Wednesday to the bhoys.

100% agree about the Virgil comments, I feel much more relaxed now he has bedded in and looks set to be a rock at the back. I have said all along JP and scouting staff deservea MBE for thier heroics sourcing all these players, who cares if he have not heard much about them as they will prove thier worth on the pitch, as did all the gems we unearthed and sold on for mucho casho! Other teams need to take note on how to run a successful club. cough cough Rangers cough cough LOL
