We all know Scottish finest referees this season haven't minded putting their reputation at stake, by making biased decisions against Celtic. However the appointments Commitee have changed their tactics and instead of appointing one of their top referees for the League Cup Final against Aberdeen, they have appointed John Beaton who is as poor a referee as you can get refereeing SPL matches . God knows what sort of decisions he will come up with .
In the mean time the SPL fixture's Commitee working with BT have Celtic playing on Friday night after the International break . Celtic had 14 players away and Kilmarnock had one or two. Luckily all Celtic players are expected back by Thursday, every bit of hindrance the authorities can find they use .

Behave Oldbhoy, your paranoia is verging on the ridiculous, referees are humans they all make mistakes, until we get some sort of video, cctv, monitoring of dodgy decisions the arguments will go on. The decisions for and against should even out over a season.

Listen, we all know over the years we have had dodgy decisions against us in many games. But in all honesty we are miles ahead of all the teams this season it wouldn't matter if John bomber brown reffed all our games. If the team play to their abilities we will wipe the floor with all sides in Scotland. While saying that we have had at least 3 decisions go our way where different outcomes should have happened. 2 with Gordon and one with sviatchenko. Let's just move on from the paranoia, it's one of the last things the Huns have over us.

I can understand Aindoh 's sympathy for referees, he relies on BBC radio Scotland to watch the games . That's why he is calling for 3 minute time -outs to decide on what basis not to give Celtic decision .
As for Quinn1888, it's true that if three decisions had been awarded against us, that would have been another three bad decisions awarded against which when added to the approximate 8/ 9 decisions wrongly awarded against us .
If Quinn 1888 thinks we are treated favourably by referees then he is a member of a very small group . I have never come across sensible fans from any club who thinks referees are biased towards their team .
Any Celtic fan who think that we need to move on from paranoia, as it one of the last things the "dead" Huns have over us is a fool . How can them poor dead souls have anything over us.

Several teams have had Friday games for TV just our turn and give us more recovery time for barca.

Old boy u need to read my comment again, not once did I say the refs are favourable in our favour. We have had many a disgraceful decision against us over the years, but u coming on here whinging about it is not going to change anything. My point was that we should be good enough this season to overcome a dodgy decision against any side in Scotland. Like Kev above look at it that it gives us more rest for Barcelona . I don't know why I assume this but Barcelona may be slightly more difficult than killie 😳.

different years same old freemason referees.

17 Nov 2016 19:07:05
Old Bhoy, I think you are too obsessed with referees, I've seen some poor refereeing this season but the poor refereeing has affected both teams, we have benefited from some decisions and we have been the victims of some decisions, I can't honestly say that I've watched games and thought that the referee had an agenda against us.
When you look at the semi final for example, leading up to the match the story was about how biased Craig Thomson was against us, yet just about the first decision he made was to deny Sevco a penalty and book their player for diving. Surely if there was such an agenda against us he would just have awarded the penalty and be done with it.
As for playing on Friday night, a lot of European teams if they have got Champions league matches, have their previous league matches scheduled for the Friday to give them longer to prepare, this is seen as trying to help them, I'm not saying that is the reason that this match was moved, but if anything it should be a help rather than a hindrance to us.

For anyone who doubts the dodginess of some refs in scotland just watch the game Johnny Doyle got sent off for crossing the ball.

17 Nov 2016 23:08:17
The game at ibrox in 2009 was one of the dodgiest in recent years when Davie Weir could have had 3 yellows and a straight red and wasn't even booked, Lafferty nearly took Big Micks head off with an elbow and escaped with nothing and Novo karate kicked Mark Wilson with no punishment on top of that 2 stone wall pens turned down, all in a days work for Mr Thompson.

Gerryc. I honesty thought you were a good poster once,
But good posters don't post that when The Rangers player clearly dives in the box and Thompson correctly books him HE doesn't DENY HIM A PENALTY .
honesty that is as near stupid as u can get Gerryc In future we have to be grateful for the referee penalising an opposition player who fouls one of ours .
I thought Eric was robbed in the same match when the Thompson scut penalised Eric after he scored a goal because Eric allowed Hill two attempts to foul him .
Kev83 . Strange that the club who had 14 players away on International leave should be awarded Friday night game on an artificial surface . Other SPL teams have max of about 4 players . I don't get that the SPL are trying to have fixtures to ease Celtic in Europe before they played the German team they had a mid week and a Saturday fixture in the highlands, easy preparation .
I have deliberately tried to refrain from going on about referees and the fixtures commutes this season, but they are worse than ever but there are always some do gooders who cannot see wrong in what they do.

Thomson could give us a thousand penalties but he's still a scumbag.

@oldbhoy - no mention yet again of Dembeles dive in the box in the same game that would have seen him win Splash by a country mile!

UJ your a funny man the list of sevco players hitting the dirt this season is laughable. Your players spend more time trying to win fouls and penalties and getting players booked. If they focused as much on actually playing football you might even manage third place. I feel however January will be interesting if you actually manage to offload players. don't see much clamour for anyone, and you need to sell to buy!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Nov 2016 19:33:07
Old Bhoy, you can't have it both ways, if there such an agenda against us then Thomson would surely have awarded the penalty.
In years gone by Celtic have been the victims of some dodgy practices, but these days with all the cameras filming from every angle, referees just wouldn't get away with it anymore.
You can't just say that every time a decision goes against us it means that referees have an agenda, we have benefited from some poor decisions, so you have to be fair about it.

AGood to see Union Jack watches a proper team and has given up on his four year old team.

Aindoh, have u watched Celtic this season yet, live at the match, or on T V or are you still watching on the Radio.

Seen we've payed nearly 3 times what we should have for the land at London Road, official no state aid, should shut the sevconians up for a wee while, in other news the resolution 12 issue seems to be gathering pace might be some sweaty palms at the sfa and ibrokes.

Funny that! Scottish Sports Council gave £50,000 of PUBLIC money to develop Murray park! They can only give such monies if it is in public's interests ie local community accessibility but Murray park is a "closed shop" effectively it does not benefit / service the surrounding areas!

Factor in Murray park is held LEASEHOLD and not Freehold albeit a long term one it is a waste of PUBLIC money

STATE AID or what Ed/ folks? (Y)

Ssh Jamie u might be onto something there, the state aid case was the only thing keeping the people going and now that's been taking away there's nothing left HH.

Is this £50k a real thing? Did it really happen given the conditions of community acces? I would like to see proof. And not the, my mate works with a guy pish.

{Ed007's Note - It's £650k......

17 Nov 2016 12:36:31
That is shocking Ed, At the time I believed the maximum payout you could get was £50k! Having looked @ there website today (SSC) the maximum you can get is five hundred thousand So how did they manage to eclipse that for a "closed shop"?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I have no idea mate, if you've looked at their site you know more than me about it.}

17 Nov 2016 12:09:02
Ed av heard plenty about us allegedly getting state aid but nothing of the tax dodgers is this legal a thought to get public funding it had to serve the public in some way.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know that much about it.}

17 Nov 2016 20:44:17
You can see the liability at companies house website as well, where it clearly shows they have a security against Murray park.

17 Nov 2016 20:56:01
sportscotland.org.uk government funding available from 10k to 500k! What was the upper ceiling when MP built? It would not have eclipsed 500k

Factor in it was spent on something that is only LEASE! held it is a shocking waste of money IMO.

Thought for today from Airdrie by the Sea-given his obvious love for Celtic and the service he has given to date-and his talent-plus the fact KT is still a laddie and currently injured-I think Emilio Izaguira should be offered a contract that will see him out to the end of his career. Thorough gentleman-family man-friend of the green brigade-and a true Celt 🍀.
