A Tonev Bulgarian winger on a pre contract?. TTTS {Ed007's Note - His contract doesn't expire until 2015 but he would be a fantastic signing IMO.}

Radio Clyde, and Guidi in particular, have made a complete ass of themselves tonight. A caller came on questioning the position of sevco. The caller claimed he had e-mailed UEFA asking for clarification. The reply was unambiguous, the third division title was the first thing The rangers had won.

Naturally Guidi, author of McCullochs book, jumped in to defend his position. His claim that 'they wear the same strip, play at the same stadium and have the same manager so to him are the same club' is clearly correct, but that does not make them the same club. This guy claims he's a journalist, so why has he not clarified the situation once and for all? Why not put it to bed and lord it over all who has questioned him?

Another caller then told him the UEFA website has rangers last game as the one v St Johnstone last May. There is no other record with UEFA of a club called rangers. There is however a club called The rangers, their first game being against Brechin this year. Again Guidi completely fudged the issue. But then it got surreal.

A caller told how in, one of his first interviews, Fergus explained why he came in instead of letting the club liquidate and save himself millions in the process. The answer, 'i did not want our history to disappear for ever in liquidation' was answered by Frank McAvennie. Now Frank was a great servant for the club, but he is not, despite what some callers say, a Celtic legend. He is also not the sharpest tool in the shed. After some of the usual pro same club nonsense from Guidi, Frank claimed there was no difference. According to him the next game v sevco will be an 'old firm' game. Frank, it will not. The 'old firm' tag has gone forever. Ask your family what they think. green jhedi

If NL decides to leave, what do folk think of David Beckham becoming hoops manager? It would let him cut his teeth at management with euro experience to boot and would be a financial boost for us as he would sell the jersey better than any player from Asia and beyond. Briggs

Ed have you seen much about Pescara's Marco Capuano or know how much he would roughly cost? Looks a great young prospect

LM67 {Ed007's Note - Sorry I don't watch Italian football. I've no idea of a fee but Juventus, Lazio and Napoli were interested along with, I think it was, Everton from the EPL.}

Afternon ED, first time post so be gentle!
I know I shouldn't, but like a moth to the flame I was drawn to the drivel printed today in the so called No. 1 newspaper in Scotland.
"The Rangers freeze ST prices as a reward for he supporters continuing loyalty"! It was the biggest load of sycophantic waffle I've had the dubious privilege of reading, (and the amount they pump out on a daily basis, that's saying something!), and i'm sure most of their fans will lap it up. Why wouldn't they? After all they had the "5th biggest supported team throughout the UK this season"! Who cares? Instead of blowing smoke up their backsides they should be reporting real issues surrounding the ongoing saga at Ibrox. However, they all know which side their bread is buttered and once again it has the odour of a certain "communications director" pulling the strings in the background.
Maybe I should step away from the red tops in the newsstand and start reading a more "grown up" daily! Any suggestions?
Keep up the good work ED. HH {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site mate. HH.}

Releasing paddy McCourt (29) and replacing him with James McFadden (30) on the same contract would be a very astute piece of business. {Ed007's Note - Aye right James, I'll crack the jokes, you can keep your cracking knees.}

I wrote yesterday regarding the SFA deciding Hearts were solvent because the parent company were solvent. And how wrong that position was. A Hearts fan appeared to disagree with me. So.

"The parent company of Heart of Midlothian, UBIG, is reported to have been declared insolvent.

Bloomberg News reported on Thursday that Lithuania's Department of Enterprise Bankruptcy Management has placed the company on a list of businesses that are "unable or unwilling to meet their obligations".

So will the SFA please pull their heads out their dark place and govern our game and apply regulations?

All those poor hard up bears that were duped into buying shares in sevco have seen their share price drop by 40% since January.

Bhoys and Ghirls a question
With everything going on at Ibrox, the boardroom rifts, the Craig Whyte claim, the internal investigation, the £1mill a month overspend. how can they go and sign John Daly on 5-6k a week?
I know the old rangers did it, but I'm baffled?

Not a rumour, but someone on here a couple of weeks ago was picking over the bones of the Wolves team, asking if we could poach anyone from them. I reckon most of them are dross, but any thoughts on Tongo Doumbia? Haven't seen him at Wolves, but at Rennes he was useful - big fast holding midfielder who could get forward, and liked to tackle. A possible shadow for Wanyama in case Vic leaves? Under contract at Wolves so would cost, but surely has no interest in playing english div3? Jean-Pierre Laguerre
