Does anybody know how many players the new Rangers actually have for the forthcoming season?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Not as many as they had during the 'EBT' years...that I do know ~ Mrs E

Watching the program Is Football Racist on BBC3, they just spoke to John Barnes about why there are only 3 black managers in english football. They mentioned how he was sacked from his 1st job as a manager after only 8 months but then had to wait 8 years til his next appointment. He was then asked if he thought he would have had to wait that long had he been white and his response was that he thinks he would have been given longer at Celtic had he been white!! WTF is he on about? Is he trying to claim we are a racist club because he was a s**te manager? The man is a disgrace!!

Green surfer {Ed007's Note - Us Eds are just chatting about that exact point, they were very strange comments.}

Believable10 Unbelievable4

I also watched the programme. John Barnes was out of order in what he said he was indeed a terrible manager just like Mobray. The rest of the programme was very interesting and maybe our scouts should pay a visit to Luton to have a look at some of the young Asian players as we might uncover a wee gem. jK

Agree6 Disagree2

This is not the first time he has said this ! He was sacked cause he didn't have a clue ! Can't stand the guy

Agree8 Disagree1

Agree, couldn't believe they comments, had to rewind it to hear it again, guys a joke, made an arse of his 2nd job too! L1888

Agree5 Disagree1

I also watched this programme and i have emailed a complaint to the bbc and i think celtic should be informed in waht mr.barnes was implying

Agree6 Disagree1

Not a Celtic supporter but I think Barnes is way out of order. He was a rubbish manager when he was with Celtic and he was fired for that reason and that reason alone
VHSS

Agree4 Disagree1

Please bare in mind that Barnes' team started the season in tremendous form... then Larsson broke his leg, Viduka lost the plot and RANGERS WERE CHEATING BY BUYING PLAYERS THEY COULD NOT AFFORD.

I don't think his point is valued but I do believe that his team was very decent..

Would take 5 or 6 off Mowbrays team and would be close against current squad. MON and GS teams would rip it apart though.

Hi guys is it possible sevco license will not be sanctioned by the SFA therefore be out for a year and be voted in next year to SPL, what you think guys ? This way only out of SPL for a year appeasing sly, sponsors, clubs etc.
Rayman

Believable1 Unbelievable2

If this did happen, they would need to increase the number of teams in the SPL because there wouldn't be a vacancy.

Nothing would surprise me though.

K-Dot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster should be concentrating on maximising income into the Scottish game.

If that means renegotiating TV deals and sponsorship then so be it rather than advsertising our game in a bad light in every newspaper that will toss & turn every word that is said.

They are bad PR for what they represent. Mrs E

Think the whole scenario regarding Celtic has been poor
(Best fans in the world say's Mr Lawwell)

What are they going to do regarding the child's ticket who don't have Rangers tickets, which will be the majority..charge them roughly an extra £6 for the two games as the average is £2.83 a game..

Again totally shafting good loyal paying fans..

Jason

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Already replied to your previous rant about this Jason so don't see the need for 2 comments. We can't have it both ways, looking for Sevco to be punished but then deprive Celtic of much needed revenue. Think you are wrong here mate, our club needs our money............martyc1888

Agree7 Disagree6

All i am saying is why not when i went to purchase only charge me the £50 until the Rangers scenario was resolved and then charge whatever criteria i fit into (that is not a rant) So what you are saying if you were in this situation it wouldn't bother you ..I don't think so! You can't have one child paying £90 more same age, same section.. The money thing has nothing to do with it .Celtic knew when i paid for my son , that they were conning me. Hard earned cash. Celtic have already released 9 first team members. Getting a lucrative game against Inter Milan and Real Madrid so the sell before we buy new statement is a bit of kidology
Jason

Agree4 Disagree1

Well said Jason ..Good Good point , you were badly advised by Celtic. They although i don't like saying are treating us like the shame

I am rather embarrassed

Pete the Tim

Agree4 Disagree4

I think the word 'conning' is a bit harsh Jason.. I was concerned enough at the time in May to ask about the Rangers situation, did you ?

Obviously I made the decision to still pay the extra for my son's ticket, Celtic didn't force me into it. Its to do with where you sit as well..i think. Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree5

Yes i did ask said i did have a good point, and wasn't the only one asking, their were others also asking
They would have to have a meeting after decision
but likely to get reimbursed

Jason

Agree3 Disagree2

Yes agree with Jason on this hopefully Ed can help
Jason can't be only one.

Celtic do fill our fans with nonsense

JIM THE TIM {Ed007's Note - Jason again agreeing with himself.....}

Agree1 Disagree4

That's not what I was told Jason in May...there was never any talk of a refund at all. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree1

Why is this guy posting under different names ED? Rather sad! Can't you just make your point and lets others give an opinion.....martyc1888 {Ed007's Note - Some people are just sad Marty, you get them on all the sites. It's up there with the saddos that post pretending to support rival teams. How messed up is your head to do that?}

"And still the Deluded cling on"...
Two of my ex bear mates actually phoned me today to boast about their
ex club's "amazing loyal fans" the story goes that by time the SL3 season begins 40,000 (YES 40,000) will have renewed their season tickets. Best bit was that Mr Green "is holding ST prices at last season's rates and will kindly hold them at this price for 3 years or until ex club make it back to SPL"
By my reckoning an average ex club ST last season was £400+ while in
SL3 the dearest ST is £190 so ex club fans are expected to pay DOUBLE to see BOYS play... How can you argue with simple deluded people? Timalloy

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Not sure why you think TRFC supporters won't fill Ibrox. My guess is that you're a little worried that we will and that it would make for a nice TRFC story. Your starting to sound nervous T. Remember , it'll be 4 yrs before we're really back...lol

Rangers having major problems with their application to transfer SFA membership from Oldco to Newco.

If they do not get SFA membership then they will not be allowed to play football.

The SFA want Newco to accept the 1 year transfer embargo, which Lord Glennie had referred back to the Appellate Tribunal, as a condition of being allowed to transfer membership.

The SFA have told Newco that they have 3 options:

1. Accept 1 year transfer embargo

2. Refuse embargo, but have the Appellate Tribunal issue a new punishment. This would most certainly see Newco suspended from playing or permanetly barred from the game.

3. Newco to apply for a new membership, rather than a transfer of membership from Oldco, but they have been told this would be refused as they don't have 3 years of trading accounts.

It looks as though the SFA have them by the short and curlies and if they want to play football this season they will have to accept the transfer embargo.

K-Dot.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Bet they wish they had just accepted it to begin with rather than all this carry on. Although this was imposed by an independent panel, later names thanks to Ally McCoist, you have no idea the amount of times I've read they believe it was Peter Lawwell pulling the strings.

I have no idea how this club got into such a mess...ooft Mrs E

Agree5 Disagree0

Mrs E - the amount of influence they believe Peter Lawwell has is quite remarkable. They seem to think he orchestrates everything in Scottish Football.

They seem to think that because he worked with Stewart Regan at Coors that this somehow leads to the conclusion that Lawwell is manipulating and controlling Regan.

The don't for a minute stop to think that Campbell Ogilvie is currently President of the SFA and Gordon Smith was Chief Executive.

They are deluded, totally deluded.

But do you know what the funniest thing is about this transfer embargo and the problems they've had since taking it to the Court of Session - it was the RFFF that funded the legals fees for the court appearance.

K-Dot.

Agree1 Disagree1

I actually did not know any of this until recently.

To really think Peter Lawwell is behind the transfer embargo is laughable especially when, in my eyes, it was quite lenient and very arrogant or stupid to challenge it.

Why do they call him Liewell (given the amount of times they have had the wool pulled over their eyes this truly is funny)? What did he do ? Mrs E

Agree1 Disagree1

I think the only crime Peter Lawwell is guilty of, in their eyes, is doing a fantastic job of running a football club, which they can't stand.

And I suppose the cheecky quips he made about Jelavic's transfer fee and Oldco receiving bids from another planet, just wound them up.

K-Dot.

Agree4 Disagree0

Wake up take off your green tinted specks and smell the roses. The power used to be with Rangers and now it's with Celtic. All that's changed in Scottish football is the colour of the horse. My god,you sure have a lot of nerve calling Rangers fans deluded VHSS

Agree0 Disagree3

Why and when was the power with Rangers ?

Your delusion has cost you the Club previously known as Rangers.

If you are going to call me deluded, please back-up the statement with facts. Mrs E

Agree1 Disagree0

Mrs E...according to your supporters , it was alway's the case that Rangers held the hand of the SFA. I honestly cannot remember a time when your support did not make this claim. As much as it pains me to admit, after what's unfolded over the past year, I think there may actually be some creedence in those claims.

As for the power shifting over to Celtic. No one else in this league has the financial clout and IMHO, Celtic are excersising that clout and will continue to as long as there's no one else capable of challenging them financially. Seems to me Regan feels the same and his lame act of trying to place Rangers in Div 1 was nothing more than a lame act. The plan to make sure Rangers never recover has been orchastrated beautifuly and once it's been accomplished, I expect that "due to health and personal problems " Regan will ride off into the sunset. Well played Mr Lawell...well played
VHSS

Agree0 Disagree1

HA HA HA...sounds like paranoid delusions to me,if your'e club showed any sign of reparation of the wrong doing over the years then other teams might have thought differently in the voting process.
Time to stop playing the victim here because that newco ain't, yet still
we're hearing the rhetoric.

Accept your punishment and try to function like the rest of the other league members...with integrity

Green Judge

Agree0 Disagree0

Right...we all know how much influence Div 3 Sevco will have ...lol
VHSS

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously VHSS, are you still on this subject ? What do you mean by 'influence'..match fixing ? I just don't get where you're coming from at all and what it is you think Celtic or Rangers can influence. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E, no, not match fixing. At least, I sure hope not as we're already in enough trouble.

Simples really. With our poor European coefficiant there's only room for one big club in Scotland these day's . Not enough CL money to go around and Celtic want to make sure they're the ones who get it. I don't begrudge them that but let's not hide behind Sporting Integrity as the reason Rangers have been demoted to Div 3. They've been put there because Celtic want to be sure that their only real rival for that CL money, never get's a chance to challenge them for it..again.
VHSS...end of rant {Ed007's Note - Rangers were not demoted.}

Ed really hope you post this. I was told by an amazing source that Rangers or the Newco. Whatever you want to call them will be playing in the Spl this year.Hears the crazy part. It will happen even if they start off in d3 and have already played games. Iknow this sounds mad and impossible but the source is to good for there not to be any truth in it. Any ideas how this is possible? {Ed007's Note - No.}

Made up nonsense as usual. Leave a name at the end of your post if ur source is that good. Although I wud expect that ur source are ur sad little fingers poised over ur keyboard.

Why doesn't someone give James McFadden a chance? He is only 29. I think a few games in the SPL could help him get some much needed confidence back and if he gets that, he could still have a lot to offer

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I agree think he'd be a boost to our CL chances if he hits form {Ed007's Note - He has played 13 matches in the last two seasons, he is 29 with dodgy knees. His days of hitting form are long gone.}
