When we bring in a CB and revert back to the 3-5-2, I would like to see Moi play in the No:10 role just behind Ajeti and Eddie like he did when he played at Basel along with Ajeti.
They already have a great understanding with each other in the roles and scored and set up a lot of goals for each other.

I really think if he gets to play in his favourite position it will help him a lot.
He Was also excellent last season before he got injured and I don't think we would bring in back for another season to spend a lot of time on the bench when we do go back to a 3-5-2 as I don't see Lennon playing him as a wingback.

Obviously we will have a back-log of games due to this 'suspension' and if we stay in all competitions as long as possible, we may have 3 games a week on the horizon.
My question is about Broony; The Legend that has led us to 9-in-a-row and a treble treble.
The captain would never 'drop' himself as he wants to play every minute possible for The Celtic.

It's odd looking at the celtic squad. It looks big enough, and with our domestic record and momentum, you'd think we will roll towards 10IAR
HOWEVER when you look the senior first eleven ( and those with a shout of being in it ) , I always come a little unstuck when choosing a 4 2 3 1 or a 3 5 2. The problem is that whatever way you go, there are weaknesses.
In a 4 I worry about the quality, game intelligence, and experience of Frimpong and Taylor. Our middle 2 at CB are, simply put, too soft and too easily ruffled. When you go to a 3, you could argue that we need 2 new additions ( weirdly) . I still don't think Ajer is a CB. Nor do I think he is a RB. perhaps a more defensive CM ( where brown plays)
In the middle, the logic says brown McGregor and Christie or ntcham, but again without brown we lack leadership, but with brown and McGregor we sometimes look too conservative. Christie is a frustrating player, often off with his passing, almost over excitable and yet prone to double digit goals. Tom Rogic is simply too injury prone.
Forrest has no pressure and moi is stop start and doesn't look like a left sided winger. or a number 10 for that matter . he isn't good enough for a free role and we don't play that system.
We look solid up top and covered if LG can screw the nut.
When all fit with their head in the game, I would want the following on the team barkas. Ajer. Elhamed, jullien, McGregor, ntcham, forrest, eddy, Ajeti ( unproven I know in terms of CFC; 50/ 50 with LG) Christie and 1 other.
When it comes to the 1 other, you become unstuck because the systems have weaknesses
I like the 3 and so of we give Elyounussi the benefit of the doubt
It would be
Barkas
A back 3 of jullien elhamed and Ajer ( albeit we will then have a right footed left side centre back)
Forrest right
Christie left
McGregor
Ntcham
Elyounussi as an AMC
Eddy and ajeti ( or Griff)
This is why a left footed or 2 footed tough tackling experienced CB is so important, it is so obvious that we need this .
A back 4 means Frimpong and taylor . I get frimpomg at rw but not at RB. in fact if elhamed played at RB, you could have Frimpong ahead. and then maybe have Taylor and Forrest or christie .
The point is that we don't have a robust FIRST eleven even when all fit
The priority feels like it needs to e CB and LB and Rb.

Hi Ed, Been reading that a few teams are interested in Ntcham. Is it the usual hacks trying to sell our best players or is there genuine interest? Clubs rumored with interest are meant to be Southampton, Everton and West Ham.
{Ed007's Note - Southampton have a long term interest in Ntcham and have spoken to his agent (and Celtic last summer) about a move this summer but I honestly don't know if we are willing to sell. If he is available then other clubs will certainly register their interest.}

Cheers Ed I think he's too good a player to risk selling this window particularly if we revert back to the 3-5-2 which I think him playing CM brings out his best qualities. Also finding a replacement of his quality will be tough to find also.

He can look like a world beater one game and then then next it just seems to pass him by. When Brown and McGregor are fit they'll be starting so it's up to Ntcham to force Lennon that he should be starting in front of Christie and he's really not doing that, we've seen what he can do and with his ability he should be making himself undroppable through performances.}

If its true we have been quoted 2 million loan fee for Duffy it's got to be a no brainer if I was a millionaire I'd pay it myself we need a no nonsense center half who's more than capable of the physical battle, talk about WBA on the verge of signing him I've not seen that anywhere he's right up for this move get him in on loan and take it from there. Wouldn't just be a top signing but it's exactly what we need right now.

Given what has already been highlighted with regards to what we've spent on players that don't have any impact, and that any loan fee would go towards an eventual transfer fee, it's a no brainer for me too. He's an old fashiones centre back. Great in both boxes. Goes through opponents and not shy making the last ditch challenges. He isn't a bad passer of the ball himself - he's just unfortunate to have lost out to a better one. Lacks a wee bit pace but he'd slot into a back three lovely for us as the 'no-nonsense' figure of the trio. Ajer and Jullien's pace and ball-playing abilities will compliment him. Getting three at the back is a must. We want that extra attacker to break down stubborn teams like we suffered against Kilmarnock.

If it's true - I'll be seriously disappointed after the encouraging signs from both parties; but we really need to be much more incisive and conclusive in these windows and get the deals done. As it only gives our detractors and critics ammunition.
