It would appear that people cannot separate football and politics/religion. Scottish football cannot be at a lower ebb than it is now. Could it be possible, that for once, inlight of the upcoming international, we put aside petty inclub bickering and have a football related discussion?

Get over it T* *ER the Black and Tans were nearly a century ago, the I.R.A have committed atrocities in more recent times we have forgiven to move on with our lives, you should think about doing the same or maybe that's all you have to hold onto bitterness, what occurred at the game where the banner was produced was an affrontery to Glasgow Celtic football club who have no political affiliations with you or anyone else and it not only embarressed them but all decent football loving Celtic supporters in the ground for i'm sure brother Walfrid would have been affronted by it as any decent Irish person would. {ed's note - can we just get back to talking about footie now?}

Re green brigade or would you prefer GB?

Where does the poster claim the world is laughing at Celtic's whingeing?I would think the world's sick of them whingeing, try and learn to read first before typing your infantile replies, has nobody told you yet Greyskull/Ibrox Stadium is the home of the good guys and heroes, unlike Snake Mountain/Celtic Park is the home of the bad guys and evil doers, so you see GB, if you need help all you have to do is ask a grown up, as we can see by your previous attempts at banter, you're definitely do!

The world is laughing at celtics whingeing-what a belter of a claim, almost as good as walter claiming rangers are tired after 15 or 16 games(only mentioned when the good ship dignity fc lose points)and the loyal hang on to every word he says.like anything in life, if you feel you are hard done by do you sit back and say nothing or do you question decisions?lennon does and he gets ridiculed for it.what agenda does the press and rangers fans have against lennon?think we know the answer to that, good to see them slating a young manager learning his trade.wonder if they will do the same when the waterboy takes the chair over at greyskull next year.

Re gerry bhoy

The guy that posted "whinging ones" well that's the truth, because that's what Celtic fc have become in the eyes of the world, ffs you lot even whinge when you win, and you, you went awol from here after Rangers beat your mob at Parkhead, just like most of the jakey tims on here, the decent Celtic fans on here I appreciate their banter, football wise, but you, bhyrdo bhoy and Green brigade, have to bring in the Irish republican crap at any given chance, do us all a favour talk about football related issues or shut to feck up.

Well it shows u how educated the celtic fans are including the couple of eijits on this page . . u do know what the actuall poppy represents ?! you do know that it represents all of those who have died in past wars . . from both sides ?! absolute nupties yeah you gerry and you bigot byrdo . . ok the funds that are collected over britain go towards the ex servicemen that have been injured and to the families of the fallen . . but the actual poppy itself represents ALL that have lost thier lives in conflict the fact that you fans protested against the poppy being on the shirt and nothing to do with any collection or proceeds (which you still can't argue about cos the last time i checked this was volountary?!). The fact is that celtic fans are protesting about the poppy being on their football tops. Showing your fans are either evil bigots or mind numbingly stupid!

Backing our troops, the injured and the fallen these guys are the REAL HEROES.
