So the man who jeopardised the nine thinks that the ragers should get a guard of honour at Parkhead.

Aye dae ye aye.

It would show 'humility' and 'class'. Oh the irony do you no just love him.

Where's the Green Brigade when you need them?

What kind of money is in a 'Shut the F**k Up Brendan' banner.

Apparently John Kennedy must stay too.

It would be a class act from us considering its their first title.

Go over the top on decorations, a massive 1st title banner. maybe even a fly over.

Be classy, as always.

I also think we should

We are not them!

I still think Celtic all wearing the number '1' would be pertinent. Then SLY and the other media would have to address the truth.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2021 21:33:32
Now Pablo that would be funny.
Can you imagine them walking out the tunnel and seeing a huge banner right across the North Stand saying Congrats on your 1st title. I'm sure that would go down well on Sky TV.

I don't see why we should. They won the league. Fair enough. And they have their day in the sun. But I can't understand clapping them onto the field. Every player should be gearing themselves up for a new season and getting their mentality right, or go to another team. And it's not a bitter opinion. It's about creating a mindset for next season. They never did it for us, which I fully understand and didn't bother me. If we do to claim "higher ground". then what message does that send. Maybe I'm missing something and will happily be corrected.

Bribhoy

The guard of honour is a big no for me rightly or wrongly.

A show of respect should be genuine or better not at all.

Celtic are due the fans some respect given our results and performances against them this season.

We should on the park waiting for them and right in their faces from the first minute to the last.

The focus should be securing a victory not an insincere show of the respect they don’t need and we don’t want.

16 Mar 2021 08:57:56
I would love to see us form the guard of honour then just as their starting to walk out avert and adopt the huddle and block their way onto the pitch making them walk around us, now that would be a sight to see. 🤣🤣🤣

Get it right up them.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2021 11:38:51
Why don’t we take them apart for 90 minutes and then clap them off at the end. That would show just enough contempt.

Could the fact the team that wins the league next year automatically qualifies for the champions league mean that we will be more willing to spend more money knowing if we win the league we are guaranteed huge returns.

We could have a definitive answer on Thursday night if we will be playing for CL group stages next season.
Celtic might need to spend £30 million to accumulate £30 million back from CL.

We should have significant funds from transfers-out, but obviously not all profit ever goes into the 'kitty'.

Maybe we could start an EBT coz apparently it has no consequences 😳.

There is no doubt the Police Scotland handling of their lock us all down for another month celebrations was shambolic. Particularly after Celtic won a league and treble with no celebrations. Given the restrictions were all living under and when you see Italy and Poland going back into lockdown their celebrations was an utter disgrace.

That’s not sour grapes from an aggrieved Celtic supporter it unreserved anger from somebody like many others that can’t see family, friends or go to Mass or football or for a pint. Even if you were making a case for Police Scotland trying not to intervene hoping all would pass by peaceably I just don’t understand the escorted march from Govan to George Square being allowed to happen.

A lot of peoples true colours showing here, complaining about the only person/ party that are interested in Scotland and what's the best for it's people.

JFP unfortunately Police Scotland where simply out numbered. There must have been a ratio of something like 1 officer to 40 fans. Impossible to manage.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's why the police have horses & dogs and go through training to disperse crowds and deal with morons. Did they leave their CS spray in the station?}

Politicians are interested in number 1, irrespective of party.

I too have been discussing the SNP with pals and family. I cannot feckin believe they are that pissed that they would vote along with the OO to protect their union. In five years this will be another thing we look back at and say, was it worth having a go electorally to help out Loyalists and Tories? Maybe they could join them in George Sq again to celebrate when Indy is lost. Get a bit of perspective .

Based on their performance at the vigil in London, it's a pity the Met Cops weren't in charge when the nuggledraggers were breaking the law in George Square, Ibrox, Hall of the Lark, Blantyre etc

It would have been a different outcome.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The contrast in the police's behaviour at both events is as startling as it is worrying.}

15 Mar 2021 19:54:27
Greentree

I appreciate Police Scotland were outnumbered and perhaps a decision was taken not to intervene although as Ed said that’s what they are trained and paid for. That’s frightening that if enough loyalists and bigots decide to break the law the rest of society just has to accept it in the knowledge that the powers that be are powerless to protect us. As I said I just can’t get my head around the escorted march from Govan to George Square not to mention the alcohol consumed in public and carnage caused along the way.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Mar 2021 19:56:33
Agreed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The Met is a vile racist and bigoted organisation but even the Scottish Police could give the a lesson in corruption.}

15 Mar 2021 20:02:15
I do not trust politicians and have no love for any political party. Sooner or later they are exposed for a variety of weaknesses; like 'massaging the figures', expenses irregularities, misleading (Parliament) their colleagues, greed, going back on promises, ulterior motives, split loyalties or even corruption.
Recently, The Scottish Government have treated Sevco in a suspiciously unique and favourable manner, several times; while neither party has had the balls to tell the truth about TRIFC 2012.

The SNP are no longer an independence party, they are now a European Union party, the EU are like Thatcher, when she said, there was no such thing as society any more, except the EU says there is no such thing as an individual country, anymore, Scotland will become just another bit of Euro real estate, just in the same way Ireland had become .

I have voted SNP all my life but the way the FM has treated our Club I will not vote for SNP until she is gone. I may have to resort to Labour or not vote at all.

on a different note i'm an old spurs supporter from way back when I lived down there for some time always loved them great attacking team even when they were jim whyte they always tried to attack but I nearly threw the tv "oot the windae" yesterday. is it just me or does anyone wish that teams would stop this playing the ball out from the goalkeeper thing every bleeding team does it nopw rubbish the most important player on the parks the goalie he gets more touches etc than any other player on the park. what was wrong with big john hartson and sutton getting the ball holding it then waiting for the midfield players backing them? at least the balls up the other end rodgers did it with us and still doing it with leicester yesterday at arse nill even when there's 2 0r 3 opposing players camped outside their box the keeper still wants to play it short pass to a full back its doing ma nut in? discuss everyone
kp already krankied up!

Good to see another Celtic/ Spurs fan mate 👍

Playing the ball out from the back is the modern way to go about it. Gives me the fear when I see Spurs do it. Hated when we done it under BR but that was more due to Gordon having poor distribution. The days of Sutton and Hartson type players at the top clubs are mostly gone.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Mar 2021 16:17:52
It's the best way to keep possession - as long as you have the good players to use the ball. The annoying thing is when the ball finds it's way back to the keeper and the punt invariably goes to opponents.

15 Mar 2021 17:46:07
if you don't have your 2 CB in your box to receive the goal kick from your keeper your labelled a dinosaur nowadays.

I'm beginning to think that the new manager will be the Man City u23 manager or Keane. It's just a hunch. Man City U23s will win the league for the first time soon and then he could be off to Celtic along with DOF from city. Or Keane. Keane wasn't in the Sky studio yesterday for the Man U game. I'm going crazy thinking about it.

Ed, Hope you and the rest of the Bhoys on here are well. Just to put this forward I would love to see Roy Keane as manager with Damien Duff as his assistant. I also would like to see MON as Director of Football. I would love to hear your thoughts on the above. Keep safe everyone, Hail Hail.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'm good thanks mate and hope you are well. I was thinking about Duff returning in capacity the other day and I see Phil Mac has said he would be involved if it's Keane - with Harkin as DOF - maybe with his family a bit older it would be easier for Duff now or maybe his wife is now willing to move over.
Does Duff have the experience & tactical nous to be Keane's No.2 though? Everybody was raving about him and about how things went downhill when he left but I'm not convinced, he's had a year at Celtic, a year at the ROI and as far as I know he's back coaching at under-17s level again with Shelbourne.
As for MON, I just don't think he has the skill set needed to be a DOF.

15 Mar 2021 11:32:49
Its starting to heat up again with Keane and more mentions of DOF names being mentioned could we be close to the announcement am not convinced by it unless Keane comes out himself to confirm or not wanting the job then it is rubbish t me.
