Got 2 points. Firstly, I don't understand the negativity from some people regarding Balde. The lads been to U-19 and U-21 World/European Championships with Portugal, he obviously has a bit about him. Secondly, has Lennon actually stated outright that he's after a centre back this summer? As far as I can remember he hasn't but I would like to see one come in (Ed might be the man to answer this one)

Just read a piece in the guardian about Rupert Murdoch wanting to set up a Formula 1 style continental football tournament with 16 elite clubs playing games in cities across the world, Beijing, Tokyo, LA etc. This seems like a good idea and would no doubt generate a lot of cash for the clubs involved. With our fanbase worldwide you would think it would be a given that we were invited to such a tournament. The only thing holding us back is the fact we are based in Scotland. Has anybody read the article? What's the thoughts on us being involved in a tournament like this or the chances of us getting an invite given the fact it is global and is not just involving clubs from Europe?

ED007 did you also hear that Google are to send balloons into space and then beam the internet off them, it is a closely guarded secret but I have it on an impeccable authority that most of the balloons are on the Sevco board. lol Timalloy

Had to laugh of idea of Hooper going to Reading! If he does go though I don't fancy the idea of Rhodes coming in I was raving about him last year but watching him at Blackburn he has hardly been a game changer-most likely to score after points in the bag and his head goes down when going gets tough. The Goncalves guy who was at St Mirren would be a great shout I think. Not going to break the bank and let's face it, we're not going to replace Hooper or Stokes with a £5 million player. Mackay-Steven would be the wing man. Dare I say, I'd be happy enough with Mulgrew and Wilson as our starting CB pairing, would definitely replace Ambrose though. Daviebhoy77

I know at this time of year we are all interested in new signings coming in and I still believe we need a few, especially if we lose Hooper and Wanyana but aren't there any of our young players good enough to step up to the next level? Rogne away so why not give Marcus Fraser a chance? I don't expect these guys to walk straight into the first team but they must surely be good enough to fill in when required and then build themselves up to become first team players.

As our latest signing Amido Balde speaks no English, I have contacted Celtic FC to offer the services of my colleague wee Pat as official interpreter, he speaks 20 languages fluently including Gobbledegook, Esperanto and Bad.
Pat can also be hired out privately for language lessons, please contact our office for details in any language you wish.

Rangers fan in peace I really want to know why does Brown start from Celtic? Ledley, Wanyama and Commons are so much better. He has always started over the years over good barclays premier league players Maloney and Ki.

The new SPFL is only five minutes old and already has moved the goalposts for Sevco to play their new signings as trialists. I take it they'll thank Peter Lawell who seemingly runs Scottish football for all his help. DH
