Ed, do you have any news on the Beram Kayal situation...? {Ed007's Note - All I know is that CFC have a vastly improved contract on offer to him. The figure is boosted with image rights etc and is on par with lower EPL/Championship levels. Kayal is on holiday just now. He will only be allowed to leave for top dollar but would probably be defined as an "undisclosed" fee. I will admit I was shocked to see he had hired Pin Zahavi to work for him, this guy is bad news for clubs and has a string of "accusations" against him over the years.}

I think you will find it was actually toto tamuz of hapoel tel aviv that was top scorer in israel last season with 21 league goals not that clown hemed that is linked to rangers. he has actually only scored 17 goals in 5 years at maccabi. what a striker he must be and there are just loads of clubs dying to sign him. The sentence translates (online copy/past, not fluent/native) as a load of guff about how "Celtic player's wives are worth a bomb." The next sentence is something to do with "head" but could be "mind". ("did my head for me" = "made up my mind for me"?) If it is "head", "are worth" could in fact be "cost"... Fill in the blanks.
So either someone's at it or someone's heard something and changed it on wikipedia. Plus there was an issue with him and Sylvain Wiltord relating to one of their wives at Lyon.

Selim Dean Florance, Alyaksandr Martynovich, Gordon Schildenfeld, Frederico Chaves Guedes (aka Fred).
These seem pretty realistic targets and the type of signings I expect us to bring in over the summer. All this talk of English league signings i.e. Given, Boothroyd, Nolan etc. is interesting speculation but it's not the way the club seem to be going with their transfer targets and IMO quite right.
I guess put simply, they're obscure.
Never heard of Florance. I'd be a bit surprised if we bring in another right back but I guess if he's going to be playing reserve and U19 football for a few seasons it's not really a huge transfer deal.
Never heard of Martynovich either but I don't exactly expect us to land any decent centre backs from down south as the standard we'd be after would cost us well in excess of 4 or 5M barring a lucky Bosman deal for a desperate player (that'd have obvious deficiencies i.e. old or injury prone) near the end of a transfer window. Exactly the type of signing I expect us to bring in.
As for the other two you're right - Schildenfeld has been linked on and off with clubs down south but none have ever made a serious move, while there are sources online with quotes from his agent saying we've spoken to him and there's interest but haven't yet made an offer (from like 2-3 weeks ago).
As for Fred he's been linked with us before, as well as clubs down south including Arsenal (4 or 5 years back or something). He'd command a fair wage, but would be a quality signing and another money spinner getting Celtic's name out there in Brazil. If there's truth to the rumour I can see it happening as he's gone completely off the radar in Europe and the scouts obviously do their job over there.
Oh and what kind of "in the know" are you on about?

I see a few of the daily rags are reporting the apparent upcoming Leedsesque season ticket scheme by Mr Whyte has been declare alot of rubbish by "a source". Unless this source is Mr Whyte himself i'd still be abit dubious as to his actual financial clout. According to some he's worth £700mil, yet he failed to appear in the top 100 of the Sunday Times rich list.

Well Ed I don't see anything about using the season ticket moeny in the letter to shareholders. {Ed007's Note - It is tied into his insolvency plan, to help clear the debt if they win the tax case. The debt is only on hold until the court case is finalised. There are numerous websites that break it down}

if you read this you will see that Craig Whyte is a very shrewd business man.
Should Rangers lose the case, however, Whyte s decision not to waive the debt means he would retain his status as a secured creditor if Rangers were to become insolvent as a result. That would mean Whyte, and his company The Rangers FC Group, would have first claim on any assets and would be satisfied before any unsecured creditors, including the taxman.

i was picking up ma wee brother fae training (he plays u12 selick) and i saw barry ferguson coming oot with a bloke with a suit on. i dunno whits happenin but he looked very pleased. {Ed007's Note - Probably in sorting out his father in laws season tickets as per!}

I don't know any of these two posters but i'm becoming increasingly frustrated with people blatantly lying on this once decent site. Just to clarify i passed the Celtic training ground today around half 3 and a full team of BOYS probably 12 to 14 years old all wearing the Celtic training gear were just finishing a session trudging off with kit bags etc so ..... we have finished training may wish to identify himself .........otherwise .....you are a LIAR
Shouldn't they have been at school at that time as most other schools are
The bhoys who train with celtic at that age have training sessions as part of their school day, wise up please have facts
