Worrying thought. I reckon Linfield could sell out the Rangers end for the return leg with the only water 99% of their support will need to cross being the Clyde! ☘️.

Think it's a certainty mate but who cares who they bring they will be there to witness a demolishon job here's hoping we run riot.

@JFP1888 the wee tribute act have only been given 1500 tickets for Celtic Park, just hope we lock the blooming toilets.

I'm sure their only getting 1500 tickets.

Let the Sevco fans come. At least they'll see another European game this season!

15 Jul 2017 20:08:40
Ban them and the tribute act we don't want bigoted racists inside Celtic Park. We should have banned them when they trashed the toilets. Who cares if they ban us their place is a health risk and only fit for cockroaches. Won't be long before we have to go there wearing PPE.

15 Jul 2017 23:23:14
No, I say don't ban them, let the world see them for what they are, let them behave themselves and quite rightly be praised, or let them act up like that big guy who was trying to get to LG, I just thought that was so funny and so tragic all in the one photo, how a big grown up lump of a so called adult could get so worked up about a scarf, and that's tempered with the fact that people have been killed for wearing the wrong scarf in the past, don't know what the answer is, my auntie told me when I was about ten, that there had to be a world war every twenty years to keep the population down, maybe she was right, and when there is no war all the aggression and hate is transferred somewhere else.

The sevconians will have at least two trips to us to get their arses handed to them. If they want to put money in our coffers to be able to sing their bile, feck them.

Let's hope we take ten off their billy boy pals from the 17th century, then move on to blitz our way to the group stages and that chunk of change that will ensure we ragdoll the deluded for years to come and not just beating them, ripping them a brand new one every time we play that pile of rubbish they call a team.

With that lot being skint they are charging Linfield a tenner a head for a tour of ibrox. The trophy room will have an old bike a Petrofac Trophy and a few lower leagues cups.

Never caught the game today but going from an impressive first half to a 4-0 doing did BR change the team at half time?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

15 Jul 2017 17:21:07
Loads of substitutions throughout the 2nd half Kev changed the game as it usually does but plenty positives to take from it. Some very impressive performances especially in the 1st half.

Not long after HT, ended game with 8 or 9 academy players. team looked pretty comfortable in first half, benyu looked sharp with some nice touches.

Agree with Wylie, ended up with a 3rd or 4th team out . New signings looked ok accept fir Hayes, no where near good enough in my opinion.

15 Jul 2017 18:51:03
Very impressed with the 2 new signings and Eboue in the first half, in fact whole team played well. Moussa looking sharper game by game. Second half about 6 academy players came on understandibly were a bit out their depth. Nobody that started the game last night played. What a squad we're assembling here I reckon we have 18-20 players who can slot into the first team no problem. HH 😁😁😁.

15 Jul 2017 23:22:14
Have to agree, young Benny, Ntchem and Eboue looked impressive and looks like we have 3 very good young players on board. I also thought young Ajer looked good at the back and I would play him instead of Erik on Wednesday. I'm saying this after only seeing the first half.

Hayes really should count himself lucky to wear the green

eboue sprayin some serious passes, which i wouldn't of thought he capable of. ajer looks bit raw put has everything needed to be our best centre half.

15 Jul 2017 15:52:08
Ajer very composed and oliver looks good moussa looking sharp on this display nearly everyone playin including young hill could play in first team.

Don't think it will take Benyu long to make his mark he's already looking like find of the summer his close control, trickery and passing has been fantastic. Regardless of result i've enjoyed watching the new guys and youngsters today.

Getting a bit of a beating now but lads,3 nil down! Really impressed with benyu as some of u have said! Got ourselves a bargain there I think! Horrible day for football but! Welcome to Scotland benyu and ntcham πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

15 Jul 2017 16:48:18
Benyu, Ntcham and Eboue all look the part, plenty competition in our midfield now. Rogic, Brown and Armstrong will all have to work to hold down there position which is healthy. in my honest opinion i feel like bitton needs to be moved on, fed up with his laziness, does not fit this celtic team. Benyu the stand out for me.

Agree1 Disagree2

15 Jul 2017 17:30:05
Yeah if we receive any sort of decent bid for Biton he needs to go. He's never getting near the first 11. Give us a number 5, Paddy and maybe a third striker and we're sorted.

Agree2 Disagree1

15 Jul 2017 18:27:39
Sound assessment here. Eboui will be like a new signing if he can keep that up. Benny sparkled at tim (e) s, but for me Olivier Ntcham was the standout: deft, weighted distribution, strong and purposeful.

Biton is so lackadaisical. I can't imagine a team in which he'd look good.

15 Jul 2017 20:06:42
Cavalcanti he'd still be a standout in the sevco team πŸ˜„.

Just turned on BT sport to watch Queens Park and Motherwell and enjoyed watching big Sutty (and Michael Stewart) putting that windbag craigan, firmly in his place over last nights incidents and referee and then go onto lambast the pathetic and embarrassing displays in Europe from other Scottish teams.

Question can Leigh's booking be overturned as I think but not 100% sure that there are rules for types of cautions that can be appealed. That said UEFA should set an example as I hope this is an exceptional circumstance and player safety should always come first.

I am just glad the bottle did not hit LG, however the referee probably would have given him a red card if it had.

What happened last night made me think of events before i was born and which resulted in my father becoming a Celtic fanatic and consequently passing the faith to me,
"During their time in competition, Celtic had won the Irish League fourteen times, the Irish Cup eight times, the City Cup Winners ten times and the Gold Cup seven times. The Belfast Celtic team was the pride of Irish football until it was forced out of competition after the dramatic game against Belfast rivals Linfield on Boxing Day 1948.
The Celtic team had to run from the pitch for their lives when Linfield fans poured over the terrace barriers at the end of a 1 - 1 draw. Centre forward Jimmy Jones was thrown over a parapet, kicked unconscious and left with a broken leg. Defender Robin Lawler and goalkeeper Kevin Mc Alinden were also seriously hurt. At a meeting, the same night Celtic's directors decided to withdraw from football once the season' commitments had been fulfilled"

Should it be considered a sign of improvement that linfield supporters only throw bottles and don't invade the pitch breaking legs?
Should we not thank them for their phenomenal restraint in only throwing bottles in the face of such provocation ( noone can deny that griffiths was wearing the famous green and white hoops- a red rag to a bull) ?
In the almost 70 years that have passed since Linfield forced Celtic out of the league their behavior has dramatically improved and Griffiths should thank his lucky stars for that. I just regret i will not live long enough to see them throw flowers onto the pitch.

Only way you ever see flowers thrown onto the park there is if Tim Flowers signs for us.

UEFA should kick Binfield out the competition. They are an embarrassment to all decent football fans. I love Celtic but I would not throw missiles of any kind at opposing players no matter what was going on. The muppets have probably got something planned for Celtic Park. We don't need their kind in important football competitions. Mon the Hoops!

15 Jul 2017 14:37:43
Celtic should ban their fans coming to celtic park.

Agree3 Disagree1

15 Jul 2017 16:48:18
Wasn't that long ago a Scottish referee had blood pouring down his face when a Celtic fan hit him with an object during a game at Celtic park. EVERY team has those types of fans - even Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed007's Note - That was 1999, 18 years ago - and you're saying that's not long ago! There's people on here that weren't even born when that happened. This is just pathetic whataboutery at it's very worst.}

15 Jul 2017 13:03:14
QUIZ: A player go's to take a corner and fans throw coins at him so player retreats to safety. Player then returns to take corner again and gets bottle thrown at him so once more retreats to safety. Does the referee (a) abandon the game and award tie to the opposition (b) temporarily stop the game and remove players from field of play until the authorities have established order or (c) book the player for time wasting? What a twat! ☘️.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

15 Jul 2017 13:49:59
They should be banned from European competition as there fans simply WONT behave and think its there entitlement to throw items onto the pitch. Just the same at ibrox where they seem to think its ok to hurl missiles at players. Claiming it was paper that was thrown at ibrox is complete an utter bull. Running that story in the press hoping for a lighter punishment. Ban them both.

I hear the linfield supporters threw that much money on the park there was more than enough to pay Leigh's child support for the month.
