Sorry but I disagree with most of you's Ki would be one of first names on my team sheet. Kayal looks good but knows it most of time and passing can be sloppy bcos of it. Ledley is consistent. Wanyama looks solid not creative like Ki tho and sorry but don't rate brown as a cente mid whatsoever

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I agree but for the money you will get for Ki then I think we have to take it now. As for Browm, my personal midfield trio would be Kayal, Wanyama and Ledley however when he was out last year we missed him badly. For Europe though Brown is far too harsh and will give too many free kicks away in dangerous areas.....martyc1888

Agree1 Disagree0

Victor may not b as creative as ki but wanyama scored more goals last season than ki has managed in last 3 years, wouldn't have him near first 11, L1888

Agree0 Disagree1

Actually ki has scored 11 goals in his Celtic career whilst Wanyama has scored only 4

a wee bit of copy and paste about tv money.

Sky and ESPN were due to sign an £80m five-year deal this summer, although their existing £13m annual contract has a year left to run.
SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster told SFL clubs that a total of £18.7m would be lost to the SPL if the Third Division option was taken, all but £1m from broadcasting deals.
Doncaster has apparently valued TV revenue at just £3m if the Rangers newco was made to start in the Third Division, but Sky Sports has maintained its silence while ESPN has said it wants "to have a continued relationship with Scottish football".

Hi all, i never saw tonights game but according too bbc andre blackman slipped and was to blame for the goal, can I just ask you guys what you make of him, if I remember correctly he scored an o.g the last time he played. As I said I never saw the game and was just wondering what you guys thought.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was unfortunate, as he went to close their player down his two feet slipped from under him so i wouldnt blame him and he wasnt too bad in general ,our two centre halves and gk where slow to react to the cross

Agree1 Disagree0

There were a lot of players slipping as if it was ice out there. I like the look of him and he seems to have some killer speed when running guys down, but he still needs time to work on his game to stop getting in bad positions and passes.

If Sevco ever win a Ramsdens Cup, will they get the actual trophy or one Craigy Whyte took to Ramsdens in January?

Ithink we will sign 2 spl players and that is our whack, and we will sell Ki and a few others, the board will grab all the money they can get and we will be pumped in the CL and not make the group stages. It is about time that the board backed Lenny with some cash for the CL or it will be their own fault if we dont qualify , We are crying out for a centre half and another striker badly, The fans once again will be duped by Celtic, hope im wrong though .

Surely all the zombie fans are contradicting themselves. They say the Spl is now a 1 team league with them now in div 3 and it will be over by Xmas. But the same fans say they will win div 3,2 then 1 and be back where they say they belong at a canter.

I am sitting here and thinking of the days that have gone by.
No more I'll hear the billy boys or hear about the cry.
No more I'll hear of derry's walls, and how we must go home
No more I'll hear them sing about the man who lives in rome.
No more I'll hear their bigotry, or their narrow minded guff.
Cos the celtic minded family are made of sterner stuff.
So let's all raise our glasses and shout a hearty cheer
For the famous popes eleven, who'll be champs again next year.
Hail Hail.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Liked your little ditty but surely if you gonna start referring to Celtic as the popes eleven its as bad as the gers and their queens eleven I say we take this opportunity to let footie be about footie and nothing else Hail Hail

Agree9 Disagree0

I agree with the second post. You can't go on about how rangers bigtory etc and then go on to call our team the pope's 11. Supporting Celtic should in know way be linked to being catholic or supporting the Pope.

As opposed to popes 11, I would put

As a older Rangers fan. I want the our team starting in the 3rd division St mirren and ICT have released statements regarding their worries about their futures. If the vote was re taken i think that ICT , Kilmarnock , St Miren , Motherwell and possibly Aberdeen would vote in favour of Rangers staying in the SPL ?! I 100% disagree with that but what happens then ? rangers need punished and need to abide to the laws that all other smaller clubs do so the 3rd division is the only place to be. Should other clubs end up in administration because of (my opinion) one mans ,Craig Whytes, criminal activities ?? Over the last few months the SPL teams were told be careful what you wsh for , not a truer word has been spoken !

Believable2 Unbelievable7

The best quote i saw over the weekend in the papers , a guy said '' rangers supporters wanting to start in div 3 is akin to a contestant getting voted off big brother'' yes i'll go but i want to stay.. as for the rangers favourite , be careful what you wish for.... you should make that your motto because you will never be able to keep ibrokes, murray park , albion on what you make there , of course you will get big crowds for a wee while but rememder you run at one million pound a month loss at present.. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR. shamrock

Agree5 Disagree3

There should have been no vote in the 1st place never mind a 're taken' vote. No new team starting out should be allowed to join the top league in the country. Enjoy your Ramsdens Cup run!

You still blame CW, yes he did have a plan to do what he wanted BUT what about DM selling it to him? these rankers people still can't blame the right person all because he is a legend....well that legend ended the club by cheating and selling to another dodgy person. they still don't get the big picture which is so sad how DM plan of let others take the blame has worked...i hope DM gets whats coming to him because if it were not for him and cheating spl would be in a better place and we would not have to worry about how bad the spl is and the predicament it is in now....not only did DM rob your fans of your club but also he robbed us of the best derby match in the world.

Agree1 Disagree1

Yep, Murray most to blame but no one can argue the fact that the debt was being paid down and it was certainly not high enough to force the club into administration. Whyte is the one who's guilty of forcing that. IMHO, Rangers should only have been facing sanctions and other punishments if found guilty of tax evasion/dual contracts. In other words, breaking rules of the game. Instead, we're being punished because Whyte was unfit to be running a football club

What is it the press fail to understand when it comes to Rangers? In the Sunday s*n it states with rangers now in division 3 it will resurrect the oldest derby in world football. Surely it will be the newest derby?? Rangers are a thing of the past. Consigned to the history books.

Agree3 Disagree6

It eats yous up eh its rangers and it will always be rangers
trueblue

Agree3 Disagree7

Not really trueblue...Rangers will always be remembered as after 140yrs, going into liquidation in the most undignifed manner possible. I have no doubt the new club that plays at Ibrox will also have the word 'Rangers' in their name somewhere. Mrs E

Agree7 Disagree4

Well said Mrs E, they are so desparate to try and find a way to attach the history of that Old Co Rangers (in liquidation) to the New Co, but hey they can all dream.

Division 3 for them, but really the truth is Nobody wants them.

Live with it you deluded bears.

part two of my non-published memoirs on the dark side"eh?? i'm not having a go as you say....just merely pointing out a fact that was clearly evident through your latest (6 years) history:)

your ex director Hugh Adam, who built up what was the modern day rangers, even said as much.....rangers ARE NOT a global brand

there is no hatred....just lots of joy, laughter and happiness that bigotry is gone from the spl (albeit your cousins hearts are still alive!)"

Hey everybody, what a time to be alive as Rangers Football Club have died :-)

I'm sure I'm not the only Celtic fan that is deeply concerned at our current situation with regards to defenders. For the past 4 seasons we have been awful/mediocre in Europe and a big factor in that has been a dodgy defence and far too many
leaky goals/penalties conceded. I believe 2 Centre Backs must be bought as a priority for Lenny and I think we should push through Ki Sung Yeung's departure for £7-8million. With the fee we should buy Mikael Ciani for £2.0million and we should also buy Joseph Yobo for £3.0million. Yobo has been on loan with Fenerbahce for 2 years and can't agree a permanent deal due to the fact they have only offered Everton £2.0million.

I believe we should offer £3.0million, spending a total of £5.0million on Ciani and Yobo, thus purchasing 2 quality Centre Backs and showing our ambition with regards to our pursuit of much needed Champions League qualification while also being financially prudent. As for the other £2-3million remaining from a Ki sale? Buy Markus Henriksen asa! 3 qualify players or a, albeit very talented, 4th choice Central Midfielder at best when Kayal, Ledley, Brown and Wanyama are all fit staying? I know which I'd rather have..After that we only need 1 more signing - a target man Striker - and we are all set for domestic domination combined with competing with the Elite of Europe as Sevco competes with the dregs of the Scottish divisions. Hail Hail!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

All very good on paper but not exactly prudent for me.There is no point in investing what we have in youth unless they are given a chance, and the demise of rangers means we are entering a period where kids will get game time.Centre back: i agree we have been shaky for a while with no one nailing it.Wilson, who lets not forget Lenny put great faith in,has looked short for me.I think young Fraser and Twardzik look as if they might be ready to kick on and both are good with the ball.If Ki goes i would bring Henrikson in,but he will be looking to start straight away, and will he?The target man argument i dont really agree with.Barca,Real and Spain all do okay with movement and quality passing, negating the need for a big striker. We have great young players,we need to see them step it up...........green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree1

I know that good teams in the champions league would get by our defence without much trouble and by that i mean barca, man utd, real, etc,, the usual suspects for the last eight... but we are probably never going to be european champions again { glad i was alive to see it } we would need to carry a bit of luck to progress to last eight. but as for the rest ie the qualifiers and group stages.. i don't think you should be deeply concerned.. did this defence not equal or beat a 90 odd year record last season.. even my favourite recent center backs , stan varga , bobo balde, from martins days couldn't do that.. .. yes we do need a really good one , but i don't thik we are at the deeply concerned stage.. ps fantastic news about stans remission , keep fighting fella and god bless , shamrock

posted this as a reply on deadco page....not expecting it to be posted over there....

all you clowns are forgetting that the spl has suddenly became a competitive league, and that every team now has a chance of european football instead of just aiming for a stupid top 6 place.

sky wont pull the plug, and if they did, they'd have to pay a termination fee...usually 70% of the remainder of the contract. and if you believe they can get out of it because deadco aren't involved, then that raises questions of match fixing and fraud, something deadco specialise in;)

if sky did pull out, and compensation is paid...another broadcaster would simply take over, maybe slightly less than the sky deal, but not a major factor in clubs finances as some would lead you to believe (works out at roughly £3840 per game)

season ticket sales are already improved on last years fugures

newco aren't guaranteed promotion by a long shot, they already have overheads of £6m per month....how can division 3 football, with no decent amount of sponsorship sustain this? even spl teams struggle with this kind of outlay

season tickets will be sold according to pricing structures for sfl3 league status, so even if you have 40k st holders, the clubs' income will be a tiny fraction of what is required to keep a govan team playing at ibrox, training at moonbeams park and paying players their FULL (pre-admin) wage.

there's only one thing that's going to go bust......and that is sevco 5088.....NOT the spl, NOT the sfl, and NOT scottish football

taco

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Spot on taco... the cloven hooves have already cancelled their sky subs, because they're not going to be on it. if sky try to renegotiate a devalued contract , they can shove it up their ars5. i get sky for scottish football , i don't even watch the epl , and if sky are out of it would that not allow celtic tv to sell subs in this country because there would be no competition. shamrock
