I'll be honest I don't think Bolingoli is anywhere near good enough for our club. This is my judgement after the first five months of watching him. His defensive awareness is awful as is his distribution. I really hope Taylor forces his way back into the team. I would have Johnny Hayes at LB before Bolingoli every day of the week.

1st time poster. got to say I 100% agree with you I haven't seen much from the boy, defensively, that fills me with confidence. Taylor would be my 1st choice. It's the other side I think gives us a headache elhamed and frimpong have been flawless.

16 Dec 2019 09:09:19
He's decent going forward but even that isn't good enough to compensate for his lack of defensive ability and poor decision making. So far for me Taylor doesn't look good enough either.

16 Dec 2019 09:06:16
How many games have we lost with him at left back he has still a lot to learn and he gives his all he will become a brilliant left back he will work on his final ball he is not too far away everybody has to progress some take longer than others.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Dec 2019 09:35:33
Defensively he is very suspect and vulnerable and we will be exposed to attacks down his side. I know young Frimpong has still a lot to learn defensively, but he offers a real potent attacking threat - and goals, whereas Bolingoli loses possession far too often.
Taylor should be given the chance to develop his potential.

Just back home a bit of a workmanlike performance and missed too many chances, special mention to Frimpong, what a talent the lad is. Another special mention to the GB, they must of read my call for a **** Rod banner last night 👍even unfurled it with a rendition of Grace👏 Class.

What happened to a club open to all.

Agree9 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - "A club open to all" refers to race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc It is not, and should not be twisted to be, an excuse to accept or hold abhorrent views supporting the party directly responsible for so much poverty and suffering. 130k people have died due to the direct result of Tory austerity and over 4 million kids are living in poverty as a direct result of Tory decisions.
If you're a supporter of a record number of food banks, child poverty, low pay and zero hour contracts along with the persecution of the sick & disabled then you're a scumbag.
I don't usually go into much detail about my private life on here but feck it, here goes and you can all laugh or think I'm a workshy scrounger - I had an accident at work 19 years ago and worked on for 9/10 years after having my ankle and leg rebuilt with metal pins & plates, 9/10 years ago the metal became infected and had to be removed and since then I've needed crutches to walk and over time my other leg is packing in, my knee and hip are jiggered and my back cripples me some days because of the workload I put on that side of my body. Last month the physio advised me that I should consider using a wheelchair, I'm diabetic, have OCPD as well as serious mental health issues and was diagnosed as bipolar 15 years ago and over the years have developed Agoraphobia. I only go out the house for doctors & hospital appointments or to Mass and most of the time I need someone with me because I don't feel comfortable outside and it can trigger panic attacks - I get £92 a month off the Government, £23 a week. The last assessment I had half the report wasn't even about me and said that I had a car and could drive yet I lost my appeal.
I can't afford to buy my Mrs a Christmas present this year and even though she work a full-time job with decent wages we couldn't afford to pay our bills without my mum's help - I couldn't do this site without my mum paying for my internet - and it's only going to get worse for us. Do you know how $hitty that makes me feel?
But you know what, I'm still collecting money for a foodbank because unbelievably there's people out there that are worse off than me.
That's my life under your Tories, that's your racist right wing government where the rich get richer and the poor just don't matter.}

15 Dec 2019 21:41:30
Frimpong was excellent, unfortunately he was one of the few who really stood out. Boli is a worry, caught under the ball a few times and poor distribution. Too many off form at mo.

{Ed007's Note - I edited that a bit because that stuff is nobody's fault but my own 😉Thanks very much but that's not what I was getting at and I'm lucky that I have my mum to help us. #ODAAT 🙏

Ed that absolutely makes me sick mate the whole system is a farce and it’s only going to get worse.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The sad thing is there's folks out there with kids that are in an even worse situation mate, it's heartbreaking stuff and people think it's funny and even worse acceptable. There's a girl my wife is friends with that has nothing for her and her 2 kids for Christmas, she has a part time job around school time and struggles to feed/clothe, heat the house etc for them never mind getting Christmas presents for the kids.
Luckily the local chapel is sorting out gifts for the kids (a non-denominational school and upbringing) from the toy collection and they'll have some parcels to open on Christmas morning and my mum has had a whip round with her bingo cronies to sort an envelope for the lassie to get the Christmas dinner etc in.
There is still some good people out there.}

15 Dec 2019 22:28:33
IV known. Everything you said my whole life @ED Your not alone out there as I was one of those kids you are talking about.
I hope you are ok and things get better as it did for me just keep betting on yourself as you have came this far.

{Ed007's Note - Good for you, Andy. Don't you EVER let the b@stards grind you down}

15 Dec 2019 22:57:53
See that saying a club open to all it does ma fkn heid in! Like u said ED it gets twisted around and used way out of context! Course it’s not fkn open to all! Have u seen some of the things happening not just in our country but all over the globe! Wouldn’t want any of the persons responsible for it associated with our club! On another note ED, the way u are so open about your problems and aren’t afraid to share it is what a real decent guy is all about! Not afraid to leave it out there and that can only be applauded! A lot of people suffer in silence and I myself have had a lot of rubbishty things going on the past few years! Left me anxious and not nice to be around. but the mrs has put up with it and I am trying to get myself back to something resembling the guy I was! Sorry for the long winded story, I know this is a football site but your post struck a chord! Well done for your honestly buddy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.

Hi Ed. I didn’t realise that you were heading towards a wheelchair buddy. I (unlike the twats that make the decisions) feel for you. As you know, i have had my share of sh1t lately and have now been diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Despite all of that, they are telling me that in approx 2 months i will be “fit for work” and need to look for work and be available to travel up to 2 hours to get to work or they will stop my pittance.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's disgusting mate. Just remember that all of us on here are rooting for you 🙏 I'm sure you'll win this battle as well.}

16 Dec 2019 00:45:38
It couldn't have been easy to disclose all that with everybody Ed but you've absolutely knocked it out the park and I applaud you. I'm by no means wealthy but I am in a position where I'm not struggling to make ends meet every month and I consider myself extremely fortunate. But even if I was very wealthy, my vote would be used (as it always has been) for those who are in much more difficult situations than myself, and I honestly think a part of that sense of duty and responsibility comes from being a Celtic supporter. We're raised to take pride in the roots of the club and be humbled and inspired in equal measure by its charitable beginnings - none of which can be levelled, in my opinion, at anyone who voted Tory on Thursday. When the GB are required to hold regular charity drives outside the stadium in order to feed and clothe impoverished children then it's no longer sufficient to bury your head in the sand and say politics should be kept away from Celtic Park.

I aplaude your honesty and admire you as a person I don't even know. I understand your ailments and mental health and how it effects you financially physically and mentally. I lost my job due to health issues 7 years ago and it took me over 2 years to be finally accepted for DLA. Having to endure the Spanish inquisition every year or so is demeaning embarrassing and humiliating. I had to finally talk to a doctor due to my mental health and it was the hardest thing taking the first step. I have complex cases of PTSD anxiety depression but i always know there's loads worse of than me. Poverty in this day and age is appauling and heartbreaking. Back when my Da was on a 3 day week there were food mountains where butter cheese tinned stew and stuff was handed out to loads of communities. Soz for the long post. Life could be far far worse but i thank God daily 🙏🙏I'm not a protestant😊.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Pud and you take care mate. I've said this before but to anyone reading this and struggling with mental health or an addiction don't let it all build up, talk to someone, anyone (even e-mail me if you aren't ready to talk to your doc or wife yet) the toughest thing is that first talk and asking for help but as soon as you do you're starting on the road to recovery 🙏

16 Dec 2019 07:42:39
Ed I knew u have health problems but id no idea of the severity, im absolutely disgusted that the tories got such a massive win, especially in areas where they've seen first hand the devastating circumstances caused by their cuts to benefits. I can only hope and pray your and many others situation improves mate. I know first hand how much their cutting dla, my son receives it. Im lucky enough to be able to work but I worry for the future under these heartless w@nk@rs. Stay strong mate.

Ed, without sounding like a "Look at me post". I'll give 200 pounds for the lassie to buy some presents for her kids. I'm in Australia but can put into a PayPal account. No worries. Did a few extra days offshore last trip so it's not a problem. Id just waste it anyway.

Seriously, getting it off your chest I hope it helped, yes oor Mr Stewart has NO GRACE and made a "Rod" for his own back, I just hope with all his money he donates quietly to some charity, but most of these rich barstewards do not have the conscience most of us have.
Keep the chin up Mo Chara, remember there are ex bears out there worse off.

Same to you @ED we won't let them win.
Same to the other lads on here who have a tough life, thinking where has it all gone wrong. it's easy to say stick in there stay positive. That's not the way it's still nice to say it and hear it.
The best thing is company crazy funny company not serious, just hang out with the listeners and the crazy bubbly ones. They probly need company as well, you can help each other. Going for a coffee even for an hour.
I also understand you can be the life of the party and still feel lonely.
Just remember when you talk about how you feel it helps also having a laugh and just talking crap is the best form of stress buster as it takes you away from lifes problems for a while. Keep doing what makes you smile.

As others have said here, I was unaware of the extent of your suffering but was very touched by your honesty and sincerity in the posts above. As I have said before on here I love what the Green Brigade bring to the club with their passion and banners, particularly the artwork and thought and imagination which goes into them, unfortunately you don't need a lot of imagination to write F*** OFF and I would have preferred that it wasn't there whilst at the same time having a lot of sympathy for the reason behind the banner. In this sense I agree with all the anti tory comments on here and realize how much suffering they have caused to working class communities etc. In one sense I am glad that they had a big win though as I hope it will be the final straw that breaks the camels back. I hope those in Scotland who believed them and the fear the caused at the last referendum on independence will come to their senses and soon Scotland will vote again and leave the Union just as the english are leaving europe. I'm Irish and I am coming to believe that the biggest hope for a united Ireland is the total destruction of the UK and I believe that Scotland has a big role to play in that.
I was impressed Ed that you said that one of the few reasons you leave the house is to go to Mass as this is not a very popular activity nowadays. Anyway, sorry I can't help with the food bank collection this year as I no longer have an income of any type whereas last year when I was living in Rome had a steady income. You can probably see from IP address that I'm back in Ireland again. In AA I'm just known as Jim whereas in my everyday life in Italy I was known as don Jim hence my name which is also a clue to who and what I am. Keep the faith. I will pray for you.

{Ed007's Note - Thank you, Jim and don't worry about the foodbank collection. Your prayers will mean a lot to me. #ODAAT my friend 🙏 keep on keeping on.}

Just a wee bit nervous about today; even though it's at home and we are on a great run of domestic wins.
The vast majority of the team were off form at Hamden and it's been a wee while since I've seen the best of James Forrest, Cal-Mac and/ or Rogic Ntcham; while, Griff is still struggling to re-establish himself. On top of that Eddy and Elyannoussi have had injuries and need games.
Although Christie has been magic and the defense have been superb.
Hopefully, the short Euro break the first team players have had will have recharged the batteries, shake off knocks and retaining top spot is motivation enough?

I was having a look back at season 1994/ 95 season when we played at Hampden.
I hated playing there every other week but at least we ended up winning our first trophy in 6 years, when we won the Scottish cup in May
Exactly 6 months earlier Celtic lost to Raith Rovers on penalties in the league cup final. It still goes down as a massive shock but Celtic actually played their best football in months in that final and still lost, granted Raith were a first division club.
Celtic ended up going through their worst run in their history that season. Celtic won a league game on September weekend and didn’t win another league game until Hogmanay,11 league games without a win. In amongst those games was that final against Raith in November. Celtic also went over 6 months without an away win that season. Celtic won away in September and then didn’t win another away league game until the following March.
Rangers won 7 in a row that season and when Celtic went back to the new Celtic Park, wee Fergus helped Celtic bring the title back home within 3 years. An incredible achievement from where we were, when we played at Hampden.
It is also a little reminder that it can all change quickly and we need to invest in the playing squad to keep the gap between ourselves and Sevco.
