Is ther ever any this celtic related ed?
any word on a keeper yet is the gordon thing got any distance in it? is there any chance you think in lenny moving on some of the guys just filling squad and not playing? we seen mcginn and odea already loaned out and seems lenny likes sami which i dont get? hardly mirror image playing style wise? no doubting his skill,

davybhoy ktf. {Ed007's Note - I've said before that Gordon was on the list but his injury was holding anything back. After signing Keiron Westwood and having Simon Mignolet, Gordon would be 3rd choice. His contract is up next year and he needs to be playing regularly to get back in the Scotland set up as a contender for the GK jersey. Any deal isn't as far fetched as it seems and is quite plausible if you look at it. There are numerous clubs interested in our "fringe" players so I would expect some more departures before the window closes in two weeks time.}

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - Evening Cumby.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Evening ed,

Just watched aguaro burst into the premiership howcome we couldn't fork out the money for him think he could have been a good impact player coming off the bench at best haha, guys brilliant looks like he could be the difference and talking about tha was thinking about stokey today a think he gonna do well this year (not that he didn't last season) but he just looks focused

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - Kun is an amazing player, the EPL should be an amazing league to watch this years IMO, quite possibly the best yet. As long as Utd end up on top though. Stokes has got off to a great start and if he keeps it going it could be between him and Hooper to play alongside the "target man" we all think we need. We all assumed it would have been Hooper and X, but Stokes is pushing to take Hoopers place in that equation (when required, the Plan B so to speak) which can only benefit the team with that kind of healthy competition.}

Nice try william. You're just a closet Ranker whose trying to make the point that most of England supports Rangers. If you are a Celtic fan then you'd find a Celtic pub to watch the game in - simples.

to be totally honest the financial situation should be good cause we aint spent any money and probably more importantly we still aint got izzy or kayal on better deal.we now have valuable assets on the field and like aiden 1 of them (just 1)might have to sold to strengthen even more.no one wants our deadwood and we all know why.getting pissed off with all these trials we are celtic we should be better prepared than we are.who cares what any other clubs are doing lenny should have had more help.we all new boruc was going and we replace him with newcastles 3rd choice.we all new he was going and we aint even replaced him.come on help our leader win our title back.AJ

Great to score 5 against the Tangerines and continue 100% start to SPL, but defence had a few rocky moments that better teams will punish. Don't honestly know if Sion is that better team as I knoe hee-haw about them, but assume they will be better than what we have faced up to now?
We have been ravaged by injury in key areas but I must give credit to Scott Brown who is not a favourite of mine but his ability to shake off knocks and get right back into the action is admirable.
Which takes me to Maloney; the wee fella is always sh*t-hot this time of year and hopefully he can do a job and avoid injury for a wee change.
Hopefully we can get through this tie? Stokes, Ki and Mulgrew, among others are on top form lately and if we do get 2/3 additions soon then we can hopefully have a successfull season. By the way;
I hope the Craig Gordon rumour is a non-starter, apart from injuries I used to love when he played against us as he made as many mistakes as Henry -drop the ball - Smith......Jinky Fan

Good afternoon ed,

Happy Bhoy today, read the report of our financial situation at Celtic today, and to have taken over 5 million off our debt after what was a season of rebuilding and poor European run, the man we don't see clearly doing the business behind closed doors.

Alot of other positives to be taken out of the report and it was brilliant how Reid blamed mowbury for a loss in turnstile profit that's classic lol, but as a Celtic fan am a happy Bhoy

What's your views on this ed?

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - At least it is there in black and white now Cumby. I told people not to worry about our finances all along. I am losing count of the amount of apologises I am due from Rangers fans now. I heard that Dermot Desmond through CFC had invested in a debt recovery/sheriff officers company in Glasgow to help bring in some extra money, they are planning on being extremely busy in the coming months.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well ed never once did I worry about it for some reason I knew by the lack tax men at our door we would be fine lmao, still I know our financies are good I hope for so investment in the team give Lenny so money to spend he hasn't let the board down yet

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - Seems like things are going in the right direction on and off the park Cumby. There are still two weeks till the transfer window closes as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know why even post that. all u lot think and hope for is the big rangers tax case most of u praying for rangers to go under too thick to realise where that will leave them. and go on ed tell me im wrong? mark. {Ed007's Note - You are wrong, Mark.}

Impressed with the clubs financial figures that have been released this morning, showing the club is.being.run by.the correct people, hopefully if we qualify for the.group stages we can expect further investment in the squad in the obvious areas I.e gk and a new striker

P.s ed is there reason my posts are not being posted in the last week or so?

Junglebhoy33 {Ed007's Note - Not that I know of mate (unless you were a naughty bhoy and been banned by your IP number). I was also away for a few days. And as you leave a name your posts get a higher preference. Some people have had problems with posting before and TBH we can't find any fault, if you leave an e-mail address in your next post (no one apart from myself will see it I will mail you how to contact me if you have any faults. I can only apologise if it is a fault at our end, the sites have all been unbelievably busy and we have had to move servers a few times to cope.}

Why is everyone getting on Lukasz Zaluska back, yeah he has made some mistakes but the last two games he has been brilliant. Against aberdeen done nothing wrong but make decent saves and on saturday the man of the match award speaks for itself. i think he just needs more time to prove himself as he is a quality goalkeeper remember he hasnt really started games week in week out until this season so soon as he gets experience of playing with celtic and being the celtic number one he will have no problems, and when they eventually do bring in a goalkeeper neil lennon stated and johan mjallby stated it is just to compete with lukasz zaluska. mon the hoops

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Were you actually at the game? He was never man of the match. On two occassions came rushing off his line and cocked it up, and then on another came out and did ok, but still dodgy. As well as that one of his goal kicks he actually kicked the floor and it went about 5 yards. All the game did for me was show us how desperately we need another goalie and a new cb to get Maj out Against Aberdeen he had nothing to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i was at the match and the aberdeen match. and he was the man of the mach go check.

Agree0 Disagree0

A bit of truth in both posts but as a former goalie I tell you confidence is everything. Zaluska was bought because he had an outstanding season with DU, their fans were gutted to lose him. Remember Jim Leighton had a crisis then came back just as good and played well until he retired. Zaluska may not be the man just now but he could be the man in the near future. I remember big Rab selling the bacon (along with Valharen) in the UEFA final and countless other blunders and he didnt get half the negative reports Zaluska gets. Remember there are 10 men in front of him who are meant to stop the shots coming in. Lets give the boy a chance and lets stop blaming the last man. {Ed007's Note - If you want to see a GK take a real battering off fans you should see the Man Utd site about De Gea! You are 100% correct, a GKs confidence in himself and in his defence are paramount to success. I even saw Neil Alexander having his say about it:

One of Scotland's top football clubs, Celtic, has moved from loss into a small profit despite a less successful time on the pitch. Its profit on ordinary activities before taxation was £102,000, compared to a loss of £2.13m. the previous year. Its year end net bank debt of £530,000 is massively down on the half-year figure of £9.09m and substantially down on the £5.85m at 30 June 2010. The club says that both of these higher debt figures, sanctioned by the Board in order to finance player investment for the incoming new management team, and the subsequent reduction in debt levels were planned as part of the maintenance of financial stability and the independence that comes with it. Dr John Reid, the former Labour Cabinet Minister, who is shortly to step down as chairman of Celtic, said: "Football was not any more immune from the recession than any other activity. Our participation in Europe was short-lived, playing only two home games rather than the five of the preceding year. "Those challenging economic conditions and the poor football performance in season 2009/10 undoubtedly had a detrimental effect on our revenues. Turnover decreased by 14.8% to £52.56m, affected by the reduction in European matches and the ticket and broadcasting revenues that they generate, and a decline in merchandising sales in a difficult retail market. "Against this background the achievements of everyone at the Club - management, staff and our faithful supporters - appear even more outstanding. To achieve and maintain financial stability, and attain a very manageable debt position, while continuing to invest significantly in strengthening the football squad and generate profit in the football sector in Scotland in these conditions is highly commendable. "And yet, as our Annual Report shows, as a result of these efforts and our activity in the transfer market we managed to turn last year's loss into break-even, to reduce our debt considerably and still invest a substantial amount in new players. "Operating expenses were reduced again, by £4.75m to £52.51m reflecting lower match and travel costs, reduced cost of sales and smaller labour costs.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

That is excellent in the current economical enviroment. I expected our debt to be higher. The board are clearly doing a good job and should be commended.

Looking at Sion game on tuesday (I have my tickets already) should be good open game swiss team have scored 9 but lost 6 in three league games.Hopefully we should see them off, but i would ask crowd even if we lose a goal not to panic as i see us winning 3-1 or 4-1, I also think we will score over there. Also in defence i would drop mastovlovic and move Mulgrew there with kelvin and play other wilson at left back with mathews on right. If hooper and kayal dont make it play 4-5-1 with either stokes or sammy and put wanyamma in holding midfield. If we get 50,000 there Celtic will make about £2m+ from game with eufa bonuses etc.. Hail hail Timalloy

Good morning Ed007, glad to see you back, having to use work computer as my laptop wont let me post. Anyway want to say something regarding irresponsible post on Rangers site yesterday. Nameless poster said there were IRA chants at Tuesdays legends game and Ed001 agreed. Firstly, I was at the game and taped it also. I also had friends and family in different parts of ground and NONE of us heard any stupid chanting. This game was a FAMILY occasion with parents bringing their children to see larsson, lubo etc.. and to support the charity. there is no way any parent would have sang any offensive song with children present. We all know there are fans among our support who do sing these songs but NOT on Tuesday. I think Ed001 owes the Celtic support an apology for allowing this nameless unsubstantied post without verifying its authencity, just another attempt to drag Celtic supporters into rangers bigotry. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I can't see where and I seriously doubt Ed001 has or would pass a comment on an incident of which he was no part of. He only posted the original post and then got embroiled in an argument over it. He is an avid LFC man and actually dislikes both CFC and Rangers because of the baggage that both sets (minority) of fans carry.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

They wouldnt ave sang becoz there children were at the game are u for real mate ?? these are mindless bigots and dont care if there children hear anything tho i am not saying it happened i was there an never heard anything went with my wife and kid tho i am a gers fan an it was for charity but to say they wont sing becoz there children were there is just ludicrous

Paddy McCourt is a joke, name a half decent team he has scored against? He doesn't even get a look on, all he's good for is coming on late in a game (majority of the time) and running past defenders in predictable fashion. It's all paper talk, he will end up if anything at a championship club. He can't even celebrate with a team mate without getting injured.

Believable1 Unbelievable7

L dont get your first line here saying Paddy is a joke? explain please? IMO he is a valuable member of our squad and can and has offered more to the team now than some others who get in before him.
