Do people still want Darren Randolph as our next keeper said after Saturday he was a good shot stopper but Gordon is better imo.

{Ed007's Note - That's like asking which bollock you'd rather have flicked!}

Right Ed, Gents. Who's your top 5 most likeable Tims past and present and it does not have to have been players you have seen play.

I'll get things rolling with

Tommy Burns
Paul McStay
Billy McNeill
Bertie Auld
Keiran Tierney

Lustig just misses out.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - That's a tough one. I'd need to have Tom Boyd in there, Tosh McKinlay is a good Tim too, Roy Aitken as well. I can't pick 5 lol Danny McGrain and Davie Hay? Jimmy Johnstone, Stevie Chalmers, Bobby Murdoch Bobby Lennox. Look what guys like Jimmy McGrory done for the Club.}

15 Nov 2017 08:26:58
I think its an age thing. I could not choose 5
I am been fortunate to have seen several eras of Celts as my dad took me to games when I was just 5 so that would have been 1958/ 59.
Almost 60 years of following the Bhoys and try to choose 5?

15 Nov 2017 09:04:18
Not asking for our top 5 players just 5 that stand out where you liked their personality, humour etc. Some people loved Di Canio for his antics. some disliked him.

Chris Sutton
Keiran Tierney
Tommy Burns
Bertie Auld
Tom Boyd

I pick Chris Sutton because of how he is now always sticking up for Scottish football aswell as his love for Celtic yes he can talk crap about us but he is honest when he does imo.

I can't get enough of Sutton Gordo i think he's hilarious. I know he can be critical of the club but he is only saying what the rest of us have said. He wants improvement just as we all do.

15 Nov 2017 07:23:08
Aye now that i think about it its like going into a takeaway and choosing your favourite chip haha. Tom Boyd how did i manage to leave him out.

Am the same lads, loved big Sutton as a player! MON best signing for me! But what he’s doing now always puts a smile on my face! For to long now we’ve had to listen to ex players like Walker Nicholas Provan and the rest putting the boot into our club, how great is it to actually have one of us telling it how really is! Yes he’s had things to say about us but it’s nothing I haven’t thought or said myself! Big mans a legend! Lol. my top 5 are,

Tommy Burns
Chris Sutton
Peter grant (loved the guy)
Paul McStay
Packie bonner
5 guys that all love the club there! HH 🍀🍀.

Good choice mate i was a big fan of Bonner, met him for the 1st time v Dunfermline at East End Park in 1990. Was just 11 years old got photos taken with him. We drew 0-0 that day they had a decent team i think i remember seeing them beat us at Parkhead that season too. Peter Grant and The King of Kings definitely top Tims also.

My hero growing up was Brian Mclair
Greatest Celt of my era has to be Tommy burns
Tosh McKinley is a great shout ed never realised how much he loved Celtic till he gave a speech at our Csc doo the guy bleeds green n White some of his stories are brilliant but if it's my top 5 I have to put Paul mcstay in there gave his all for so many years just wish he had won more.
Peter grant has to be in that list for me and then there is the one who could be the greatest bhoy ever kt who would run through a brick wall for the jersey tho in fairness so would most of them.
Brian Mclair
Tommy burns
Paul mcstay
Peter grant
Kieran tierney.

15 Nov 2017 13:33:24
Welsbhoy that 5 would have won the Tennenets Sixes without a keeper.

Aye Pat he should be wiped from the History books. If only McClair had scored the goal at Love Street. Never got to see Johnny Doyle but i play the song by CATB often enough.

15 Nov 2017 15:16:42

My favourite 5 would be

Mo Johnstone

McGrain is a great shout cjb77. It's fantastic that the club has some of these Legends still the club.

15 Nov 2017 19:02:56
My auld man said the same about George Connelly Welsbhoy . wee Doyle wasn't the greatest but he would have bled green and white if you cut him open. Getting sent off at Somerset when Skelping a ref with a cross ball and the header against Real Madrid will live forever. Agreed Stan. wipe Judas from our history.

15 Nov 2017 19:22:54

If your going on personality alone it's hard to leave Phil o'donnell, great player too but one of the most likable celts.

17 Nov 2017 10:53:03
No Gerry Creaney? 😂. I seen a few online who had said Danny Mcgrain told us to go away when we asked for his autograph. That's far better than any autograph! Paul Elliot, Tommy Burns, Roy Aitken, Peter Grant, Paul Mc stay, Brown and Tiereny.

13 Nov 2017 23:06:33
What's your opinion on the young lad from Ukraine ed? . do you think this transfer is likely?, I have a feeling it will happen, I had thought if we made a January signing it would be a centre half, with maybe Eric leaving.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I don't know anything about the lad except we are interested in offering him a deal. Any deal for this kid will have no effect on transfer targets for other positions.}

14 Nov 2017 13:36:15
Not sure if other positions we need apart from CH what do u think ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - GK, but if that's going to happen I think it'll be in the summer unless we can line a Bosman up during January and maybe get him for a nominal fee.}

14 Nov 2017 21:13:46
Thanks Ed, l guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens, would love to get in a good centre half in January, and a keeper in the summer, I like the fact we seem to be adding to the team these days, and trying to build a team-obviously if rediculous money comes in for dembele in summer, we may take it, but hopefully we can keep our best players and add a couple over the next two windows.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2017 12:21:31
What about playing Kieron Tierney at centre half and getting Andy Robertson on loan from Liverpool, as he doesn't seem to be getting many games down there.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Nov 2017 10:51:55
No chance teirney is twice the player, why move him.

My post yesterday about Lustig had my ears burning lol
What I was worrying about was his ability to play in the World Cup and then come back to a gruelling season at Celtic.
So here is my idea, to reward his loyalty to us, make him a player coach, something similar to what we did with Toure, he can play certain games and also coach our young players.

14 Nov 2017 11:49:51
He's slowy creeping into my list of all time likeable Tims. His celebrations are brilliant. I hope he gets to see out his contract and he can be used at CB if need be. It's fantastic to read his family love life in Scotland.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Nov 2017 11:54:55
Tim, that’s a shout if it’s what he and the club are looking to do. The thing about Lustig is he gets us, he understands what we are all about and I’m sure he would love to continue being part of us after he stops playing.

Agree2 Disagree1

14 Nov 2017 13:58:11
Carl Mikael Lustig is a bonafide Celt. In terms of passion and leadership he's one of our best. It's great to have seen him develop from the light-weight, almost timid player I remember him first looking like. Sadly, I think his time as first choice RB is coming towards an end. Would gladly see him in a back three with wing backs or as cover at RB domestically but when you see KT on one side it really does highlight that Lustig is getting in the twilight. If he wants to coach, and do it with Celtic, then he might be a great candidate.

Awesome Dembele on form again! First half hat trick. Hopefully he gets in the French squad for next year's world cup and makes us a fortune.
