A question to all. What was your best moment in following Celtic and your low point?

Best moment for me was well two. Being at Tannadice for us winning 9 in a row what a night. Being at Fiorentina Stadium Stadio Artemio Franchi for us getting through to the UEFA Cup Final.
Low point losing to Zenit Saint Petersburg in the UEFA Cup Final. But the day in Manchester I will never forget for all the right reasons.

Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - Winning The Double in our centenary year is right up there with one of my best. Worst was in Seville, great time but scunnered we lost.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

FF81 so many best moments but one that springs to mind is Celtic 5 Red Star Belgrade 1, wee Jinky ran riot that night and Celtic were unstoppable.
Also the "Demolition derby" Celtic 6 Rangers 2 Larssonn Lubo were Brilliant as was whole team that day.
Worst was the 0-3 game at Celtic Park (the dallas coin throwing game) hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Why did you have to bring the 6-2 game up Tim? I nearly walked out of parkhead that day after 20 mins lol. Bobby Petra ripped Ricksen apart that day. Or for the first 20 mins till he got subbed lol. Tim can I guess what the low point in your music was? Was it when Robbie Williams left Take That or was it when they Split? Lmao only kidding mate. Did you like that one Ed lol.
I will be the same Tim when U2 split. Lol
Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - SShh Tim doesn't like people know about his Take That secret. I am a big U2 fan as well FF81 but Bono is a bit of an ar5e with all the political BS he goes on and on about. And what they done with the tax thing was a bit hypocritical for someone that watches over the world while God goes on holiday :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Good one Ed lol. If Bono can speak political why can't the old firm fans sing political songs? Only joking. One of the best gigs was the one at Murryfield in 1997 The Zooropa tour Amazing.
Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - The Zoo TV tour? That was at Parkhead in 1993, the one at Murrayfield in '97 was The PopMart tour, I remember it well, Princess Di died on the Sunday, they cancelled the CFC v Rangers match on the Monday and the concert was the Tuesday(???), The Seahorses (John Squire from The Stone Roses) were one of the support acts that day. I'm not a nerd BTW, I had booked a week off work because of the football, concert and the fact my big sister was getting married on the Friday.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You are on the ball Ed. My mistake. 1997 gig was great what I can remember lol. So what you are saying is I spent the zooropa gig in the jungle lol.
Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - Yep mate. You definitely did. Worth it though wasn't it?}

Agree0 Disagree0

CELTIC V ST JOHNSTONE stopping 10 in a row . In portugal having a party with the porto fans after reaching the UEFA cup final . Or Joe Millers Goal to beat Rangers in the cup Final.

Agree1 Disagree0

Waw, was the Popmart tour 1997. That was my first U2 gig. Been to 5 since but nothing comes close to that day at Murrayfield. Remember singing MLK with big picture of Diana on screen. Never thought i would be at a U2 concert belting out a tune in rememberance of a member of the Royal family. Good times. Seahorses were amazing too. Anyway best game? Being at Ewood park putting Souness and co in thier place beating Blackburn 2 zip.

Joeshmo1888 {Ed007's Note - They sang MLK and 'One' in memory of Diana with a single big shining spotlight shining up into the night sky.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Back tom football ED. I mentioned the Blackburn game when the "men against boys" bit thoroughly got turned on its head. Was that your favourite of the Seville run or was it Anfield or even Seville itself. I still havent watched the game against Porto since getting back from the game. Think i would put my foot through the telly if i see thier rolling aboot in injury time again.

Joeshmo1888 {Ed007's Note - I enjoyed the visit down to Anfield but to be actually in the final in Seville edges it for me.}

GERS fan coming in peace.

Great performance from the Scotland under 21s tonight and what a great wee player you have in J Forrest most impressed with him. leethepee.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

The wee Tartan Army did well tonight..Gregg Wylde & James Forrest were brill on the wings - Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree0

Just a pity he will probably be off in january {Ed007's Note - Why? His contract runs until 2016 so it would take a fair amount of money for CFC to allow him to leave unless he asked to move, which I doubt as he only signed the five year contract this year. His previous deal was due to expire in 2013.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll be devastated if James leaves but really can't see it being this season - Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Me neither Mrs E.}

Ed, go on admit it, there have been a few days in your life when you wished you were a Rangers fan.

Hi ed. It was on the national radio (Today Fm) that the Irish bhoys are going to adopt I can't get enough song as one of their chants for the euros. I would like to see Celtic issue a Statement wishing the Irish team and support well for the euros and finish off wishing all the teams well. It would be a nice gesture for all the supporters that travel from ireland to follow the hoops around the world. Bigirishmac.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

BigIrishmac, I guarantee plenty of us hoops will be cheering on Ireland in Poland, I Just Can't Get Enough of Ireland winning hail hail Timalloy

Timalloy you can shout for Ireland in Poland and all the Irish will be shouting for Ireland in Ukraine lol.

Germinator {Ed007's Note - No chance.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Y not ? its just a joke ?! (ok word this so it gets posted lol) hat i written aint bad at all ... its open to interpretation ! that and there actually isnt anything illegal or infact actually in bred .... just a joke !

ah well either the eds need to lighten up or people should take life so literally ! that and all i mentioned was a reference .. people can make of it what they want ....... Boooooooooo Ed ! was a pretty decent joke annol (after all the tosh u print from Tim annol )

Germinator {Ed007's Note - It was not a joke and it was nowhere near funny or even sad (Tim's jokes), I spoke to English Eds and they are in total agreement that anything regarding the matter should not be posted, why anyone would make a joke about something like that is beyond me, and the other Eds.}

Agree0 Disagree0

(ed 07 please delete as appropiate to put on page)

Cheers
Germinator {Ed007's Note - It has absolutely nothing to do with football and is a very personal and sensitive matter. We try to avoid gossip like that on the sites.}

Germinator why do i get the feeling you tried to drag my name into your silly post here is a motto for you

I see Southampton are keen to tie up a deal for Hooiveld. Why wasn't he given a real chance at Celtic?

Did he piss someone off? Does he have an attitude problem?

Is there another reason why he was able to produce the goods before he came to Celtic and now again at Southampton but not for us??

ChrisBhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Think he was a Mowbray signing was he not? I have always liked him but don't think Lennon fancied him for some reason.

Don't blame him for not wanting to come back tho, Southampton are on a roll just now with a really good chance of goin into the EPL so why leave that to come & play in the spl.

It's a no brainer,he should be in the starting 11.

If the Zenden story has any truth in it? Then it again undermines Lennons position as did the McFadden charade and the nonsense with Commons etc... He showed a lot of 'Bottle' last season and has had his fair share of problems this term, but he must be considering his position if he is being under mined frequently by Lawell etc.
Clearly this board have no serious confidence in NL and their ambition should again be in serious doubt as I cannot see them ever hiring any manager that has any semblence of a reputation and authority.
These puppeteers are just extracting the urine.
Maybe NL should be less trusting and niaive by now and start giving as good as he seems to be getting.

Reading the Daily Record this morning its been announced that former grade one referee Eddie Smith , now a police superintendant , is the "snitch" who reported Celtic for singing political songs in the Europa League game against Rennes , i have no problem with that , its been coming , much as i like the Green Brigade creating an atmosphere , some of their songs have nothing to do with football , no place at Celtic Park and are tarnishing the good name of our great club , however maybe now all the Rangers fans who branded Mr Smith as biased towards Celtic will be eating their words , also the Adam Matthews transfer talk and Bolo Zenden claiming Neil Lennon is not in control claims , could possibly designed to take the heat off Rangers in the week their tax case is due to be decided , just a thought .

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Funny enough was thinking the same to myself earlier.

Personally I blame the BBC for the singing at Celtic park lol.

Adam Matthews, not read the whole story but seems keen to stay at Celtic for the time being anyway so that's a good think.

The thing that gets me is izzy k Wilson & brown are due back next week but still no work of brown signing a deal ? Don't know if you heard anything about this one ed but a deal is to be done for brown/Forster at Newcastle ? Like a say just hear say but you have the contacts.

Come on you bhoys in green
Lenny {Ed007's Note - It is the agent's fees that have caused Brown's negotiations to stall, but Newcastle might be prepared to let Forster leave in January for less than the £2 million that has been agreed for next summer. I haven't heard of any swap deal though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

How much do the agents get ed any idea ? A take it it's a 20% cut or something ? Surely tho of brown is wanting to stay a Celtic he would be putting the boot into his agent telling him to get it sorted ? Or at best pay half of what he's wanting since he will (proberly) be the highest payed player at Celtic park.

Lenny {Ed007's Note - The fees etc are all laid out in the player's contract with the agent, there is no set percentage as such. It could be over who has to pay the fee, the club or the player that is the problem as has been known in some cases. FIFA are trying to cut down on the money agents are taking out of the game, have a read at these:

www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2011/06/14/premier-league-table-of-agents-fees-revealed-100252-28872149/

www.tribalfootball.com/articles/fifa-proposes-limiting-agent-s-fees-player-transfers-1900102

Agree0 Disagree0

In the name of ....

That is bonkers ! More so Everton spending more on fees than transfers. Liverpool at 9millon.

No wonder browns contract has stalled lol

Cheers for the read there ed.

Lenny {Ed007's Note - No worries Lenny.}

BOLO ZENDEN last night opened a can of worms at Celtic by making it clear that boss Neil Lennon is not in control of the club’s signing policy.

Former Holland star Zenden was told “see you on Monday” by Lennon when he left Lennoxtown on Thursday after impressing during a trial spell.

But 24 hours later the Parkhead board ditched the deal

New lenny was being undermined by Lawwell!!
