That Joel Campbell looks some player. Anyone think we should put an offer in for him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes Joel Campbell will leave arsenal and sign for us.killy

Agree0 Disagree0

Why wouldn't he leave arsenal for us.
We can guarantee first team football. Arsenal can guarantee he will be loaned out for the next 5 seasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Celtic. Are going to guarantee young inexperience players first team football then it won't be long until we have a problem .

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at the standard of leagues he's been loaned out too by Arsenal but - Ligue 1, La Liga + the Greek Superleague are all miles ahead of the Scot Prem!

Agree0 Disagree0

PS, the reason he's been loaned out from Arsenal is due to not being eligible for a UK work permit. No doubt after starring at the World Cup though he'll be eligible for an appeal as he would make a significant impact on the game, ie Victor Wanyama style.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say he is inexperienced. Played first team football at Olympiacos, Real Betis and Lorient. He also has about 30 caps for Costa Rica.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scored in champions league last season would be a good signing if arsenal allowed him to leave coukd see him baggin plenty a goals for u

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you pick him before Balde?

Not sure how to feel if Lennon is appointed manager Al Shabab Al Arabi. In the job I would do, I would consider going out to work in the Middle East for the money they offer in my profession. Would I leave somewhere I love to do so. So, even in my job, it could be difficult to get a job back in Britain.

Even watching him on BBC Sport, I felt like it was seeing an ex-girlfriend too quickly after breaking up; but Neil, we can be friends. It hurts he went without really telling us why.

If you go to the Middle East, best of luck. Although, it can't be a step forward; can it?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe he was fed up with all the $hit that was getting thrown at him, decided enough was enough

NL looks relieved , massive weight lifted

Agree0 Disagree0

He will have a fantastic lifestyle, if it is true, but is that what he left Celtic for? I would think not. I always thought he would struggle to find a club when he left, for me he might have to drop as low as the first division, and that's a BIG drop from CL football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a mate who lives n works out in Dubai, he said the standard of football over there is on par wi boy club stuff?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he wants to get in at grass roots and help establish both football and his reputation at a new level. In addition, he can set himself up financially to allow him then to have a go at the EPL or Championship etc. without having to worry if it does not work out for him. He put up with more than most Celtic managers ever had to contend with and did a fair job as well. When he took over we could not have been much worse (although big Tony was working on that part!). I wish him all the best in whatever, and whyever, he decides to do. I enjoyed his time at the club just as I did with Strachan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Despite what some likes to say, he certainly left Celtic in a far better state player wise and financial wise than he inherited . Deila is inheriting the makings of a good team and we should all benefit in the seasons to come .

That's another snub from the Premier League for Neil Lennon with news that W.B.A. have appointed Alan Irvine as their new manager.

Is anyone else starting to think Lennon is going to struggle to get another management job of any standing?

His best bet might be going into the Championship and hoping he catches a PL club's eye, it was obvious he fancied the Norwich job and with parachute payments he probably thought he could take them straight back up.

It must be worrying him that clubs aren't exactly beating down the door to appoint him considering the work him and his agent have been doing since January 2013 to engineer a move down south.

And let's face it, going abroad to somewhere like Dubai to manage is not going to add anything of note to his CV. As time goes on I'm starting to wonder just how amicable him leaving Celtic actually was, did he really leave just to go to Brazil and work for the BBC?

P.S. On another note I'm not long in from a great day out in Garngad at the Green Brigade's annual anti-discrimination football tournament and foodbank collection, as usual everyone involved was a credit to the club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Where exactly is the quotes to say he applied for Norwich or WBA to be snubbed?

I was never his biggest fan but if you ask me these 2 clubs have taken the cheap options and will be left to count the cost when they fail to get promotion next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where exactly can W.B.A. fail to get promotion from next year?

Agree0 Disagree0

Touche! Championship 2015/16 season

Agree0 Disagree0

When you see the quality of some of the EPL managers, I am sure Lennon may be in no great hurry to get a job as the EPL is full of people who cannot manage and but for the crazy money around they wouldn't have a job .

Agree0 Disagree0

Has he opted to go this yr as it wld have meant stayin for anther 2-3 if the zombies came up.

If he wants to take a break and have an easy job in the sun good luck to him and his family

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure some of the GB would sell their souls of a standing area, would maybe explain some of the negitive vibes coming from that direction towards our departed manager .
Lawwell I'm sure would look favourably on those who would help deflect the heat of his present goings on and his mini coup for total control .
Be careful what you wish for, a small section could easily be swallowed up if the proposed 3000 standing places are allocated.
Another V for the big boss?
He's playing a fine game.

Agree0 Disagree0

The interest in Neil Lennon's future career or lack of it is very touching . I am sure Neil will feel very reassured .
I am surprised how anyone knows that he has been over looked by WBA or any other club . I am sure Neil Lennon is in no rush as based on last season there will be plenty of vacancies right through the season, so that there no chance that he feels that he will necessary be out in the cold for long .
If Lennon. Is been snubbed its a bad reflection on how some English clubs look at their counterparts across the border, if the most successful manager in Scotland over the past four years isn't considered worthy for a struggling EPL club, then the EPL club has a problem .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think the fact that David McNally is Norwich's chief executive alone is evidence that NL was at least considered for the Norwich job. NL also hired a Manchester based agent about 18 months ago to to begin sounding out the English market for jobs, so he would most definitely have been putting his name forward to lower end EPL and higher end Championship clubs most of last season looking for an earner.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Lennon take a year out to work for the BBC in the hope that an English club take a chance on him, he admitted himself earlier this year that he was disappointed no English team had made any approach for him.

@ed it wouldn't surprise me if lennon ended up commentating as a career instead of management. I don't think he is going to get the managers job he is looking for

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He might well do that and good luck to him if he does. It's worked out well for others who've done it.}

As you say Ed we don't know if Neil is frantically looking for an EPL job now or is taking time out and working for the BBC in the mean time . One thing is sure there will always be many vacancies in England .
I am now certain, he was right to leave Celtic, whether he was encouraged or not, as I think he has brought the club as far as he could . Another year may have destroyed the memory people had of him .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He's not dead ffs, you'll get over it!! A couple of months of Collins keeping Delia right and you'll be back on track. I expect a calendar out with Collins showing his 6 pack off, a sponsored vitamins program, keep fit DVD and catchy slogan before Santa time this year, think of an arrogant Hulk Hogan with a patronising sneer on his face.}

@ed to be honest I thought he done alright commentating on france v Honduras game. He was certainly better than shearer who was waffling a load of $hite. I genuinely wish him all the best

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Don't get me started on Shearer!}

Nah! Please don't start ed 007 on Shearer or anyone else, just try to wean him off Lennon. I find it hard to understand how you thought that I thought he was dead . After all I asked the question was he frantically searching .
Surely if I thought he was dead I wouldn't post that .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Just with the way you said about destroying the memory people have of him, my memories will give me nightmares for years to come!}

Ed Its not worth it, waking up at night in a cold sweat . That only leads to bad temper and awkwardness the next day .
Forget about Lennon and live in peace.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's not healthy lol, I had a dream that he was hanging about with Joey Barton!}

Sing along to the tune of The Three Lions.

They're going out,
They're going out,
They're going,
England's going out.

They're going out,
They're going out,
They're going,
England's going out.

Repeat

Everyone seems to know the score,
They've seen it all before.
They just know,
They're so sure,
That England's going to blow them away.
Everytime that they play,
And all we can say
Is Flower of Scotland.

Three lions in the dirt,
Rooney, Gerard, Smalling.
All those years of hurt,
Listen to them moaning.

So many jokes,
But hey just wait,
Coz England's not so great.
When you think,
Poor old Ray,
And Kenny's nutmeg
Won us the game.
We just blew them away,
We remember the day
And we claimed Wembley.

Three lions in the dirt,
Rooney, Gerard, Smalling.
All those years of hurt,
Listen to them moaning.

Roy, s got the men
And they'll go out again.

They're going out,
They're going out,
They're going,
England's going out.

They're going out,
They're going out,
They're going,
England's going out.

etc, etc, etc.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was thinking similar only my chorus was "England's going home etc." Anyway, I here England have already got their next captain lined up. He is Michael Smith and will is the pilot of their flight back from Brazil in a coupl of weeks time when they get stuffed by Uruguay and Costa Rica.

Agree0 Disagree0

After last nights performance England manager Roy Hodgson has some serious decisions to make like, 'a window seat or an aisle seat?'

Agree0 Disagree0

Roy Hodgson has just been quoted as saying he expects England players to be on a high after the next two games. I have to agree, about 35,000 ft high with the stewardess bringing round the drinks trolley!

Agree0 Disagree0

Will Rooney get an award for the worse corner kick . Isn't it unbelievable how a top professional footballer could take a corner so badly . A bit of a difference between Rooney's effort and a certain Charlie Tully at Falkirk.

Typical German/FIFA official arrogance and pretty much sums up FIFA Andre Blatter. Beckanbauer refuses to answer questions related to the corruption enquiry. He thinks he is above questioning by any minion who might be stirring up trouble. Time this lot where cleared out.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And the SFA are worse but still in position.

Agree0 Disagree0

How could anyone breech FIFA's ethics . Surely to put FIFA and ethics in the one sentence is an oxymoron . The SFA must be a model association as far as FIFA is concerned as the SFA discarded the pretence of ethics years ago .

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, when you put it like that, I guess the SFA must be held up as an example of the expected standards for a football association body
